This wasn’t Hadley.

He gently pushed the hair from her face, revealing not Hadley’s familiar features but Linda’s pale face.

“Understood!” Caught off-guard and with no time to delve deeper, Phillips could only reply briefly.

After ending the call, Eric called out sharply, “Theodore!”

Rushing to his side, Theodore responded, “Yes, sir!”

Eric quickly gave his orders. “Wait here with Linda for the ambulance.”

Knowing the urgency, Eric prepared himself to depart for Blisey Dock without delay.

The wail of the ambulance siren cut through the air.

“Mr. Flynn! The ambulance is here!”

The vehicle screeched to a halt, and paramedics jumped out, rushing to Linda’s side. After a quick examination, they administered basic first aid, then carefully lifted her onto a stretcher and into the ambulance.

She was hurt—how badly, no one knew yet. Eric didn’t want to leave her behind, but…

He hesitated, then pulled out his phone and dialed Ernest. “Ernest, it’s me. I need your help… Okay… Thanks!”

Ending the call, Eric turned sharply to Theodore. “Blisey Dock—now!”

“Yes, Mr. Flynn!”

As the car peeled away, Eric immediately called Phillips.

“Phillips, Hadley, she—”

“Mr. Flynn!” Phillips cut him off, panic in his voice. “The Blisey Dock is on fire! The blaze is too intense—we can’t get close to the warehouse!”
