"Is that so?" Renee looked coldly at Jovan's eyes as if she had seen another version of herself. Then, she sounded dispirited. "But you'll soon lose me."

"What?"

Jovan sized Renee up, feeling that she was purposely threatening him.

He said indifferently, "As long as you're still with me, I won't lose you. Just stay here and stop overthinking. You can't run away!"

He was an obstinate person. He wanted her heart but knew that he could not get it. Hence, he would bind her to him.

Both refused to give in. Jovan inexplicably felt gloomy and let her go. He said coldly, "Think it through."

Then, he left the room.

He finally gave up his pride and gave in, but she remained spiteful and refused to pretend to make peace with him.
