Chapter 2682
Nonetheless, the vial was not budging no matter how hard Sylvie pulled.
As such, she had no choice but to level a doleful look at Frank, hoping that he would help.
Frank chuckled. "I guess that's what they call a spatial storage item!"
"Spatial storage item?" Sylvie was mystified. "As in, like the spatial rings spoken of in novels? Then shouldn't it be light? This thing weighs a ton!"
Frank chuckled. "That's just fiction for you. In reality, nothing can actually remove the weight of an object, so it'd make sense if it weighs a ton.
"That also explains why the coffin doesn't flow rapidly along with the undercurrents. This thing was weighing down on it!"
Reaching out and picking up the vial, Frank let it rest on his palm while Sylvie studied it.
However, she only looked at it briefly before turning back to the jade coffin.
Frank chuckled but was curious. "Why the sudden change of heart? I thought you liked it."
Sylvie flashed a pained smile. "Preferences notwithstanding, I know that when something doesn't really belong to me, it will never be mine. If anything, it looks like a gift to you from the maestro!"
"To me?" Frank was mystified.
He was actually curious as to how the spatial vial worked, but that did not mean he could claim it for himself.
Moreover, he had no need for treasure-if anything, he had already made up his mine to send it to Jouri for research.
That was when Sylvie said, "Just look at the patterns on the coffin. Look closely, and you'd see that it's actually a tiny script no bigger than a housefly's head. It clearly says it's for you... and that your powers have yet to flesh out in full, so you could start with the vial!"
Frank was at once excited-did that mean that centuries ago, the maestro had already predicted that the heir of the spiritron vein would reach this coffin?
One should also always remember that the spiritron vein was a secret only a handful of individuals knew about. Forget the prophecy... What the heck did any of this mean?!
That was when Sylvie continued,
"Also, the maestro predicted that you'd find this strange, and he was no riddler himself. He simply can't tell you certain details, but he
was
sure that you'd get the full picture once you're stronger!"
Frank nodded in silence-in that case, he still had a long journey ahead.
With that, he did not hesitate to return to the surface, along with the jade coffin.noveldrama
Jeeves and the other residents had been waiting around for a while. Rushing toward Frank, they asked, "How did it go, boy?"
Frank presented the spatial vial to everyone, saying, "This is the treasure you've all been waiting for."
The residents' ancestors had already predicted that the treasures were stored in a mystical item, so they were not surprised, but it still begged the question why it was in the coffin.
"Are there more treasures below?" Jeeves asked.
Frank laughed. "Please understand, sir—I'm not a greedy man, and I'm never short on money. She can testify in my favor."
Sylvie smiled and nodded. "Have you heard of Frankton Group? That's his
company. He really wouldn't be interested in this stuff! Also, there's really nothing else below. You can take his word for it!"
The residents shook their heads, however. "That's not what we mean, kid. We
have faith in your character, but this whole thing is just so strange!"
What do you think?
