Stella’s eyes widened, her face a mask of disbelief as she turned to Presley.

Amoura continued, “I’ve felt a kinship with Presley ever since I became a member of the Deleon family. That’s why I’m sticking my neck out for her. If my husband or the others found out about this, I’d be in serious trouble. They wanted to leak the matter to the press and turn it into a scandal, but I put a stop to that. Stella was deep in thought when Amoura sidled closer, patting Stella’s arm. “Remember all that news about your grandson’s marriage to Eileen? How he defied his father for her? Bryan and Eileen were the golden couple of the business world. Imagine the scandal if word got out that he had cheated on her.”

“Shut your mouth!” Stella snapped, her eyes flashing with anger. “Don’t think you can trick me with your lies. Just because you say my grandson is cheating doesn’t mean it’s true.”

Amoura scoffed, “Men… They’re all the same. You’ve experienced this kind of thing before, haven’t you?” The temperature in the living room plummeted with Amoura’s words.

Stella’s eyes narrowed into slits, her gaze icy cold. As Amoura opened her mouth to continue, Stella delivered a sharp slap across her face. “Where did you come from? How did you know so much about the Dawson family? How dare you say that in front of me?”

Amoura was momentarily stunned by the slap. Disgust flashed in her eyes, quickly replaced by a mask of composure. “You don’t believe me? Fine, I’ll show you the proof!”

Amoura’s gaze shifted to Presley, who, without missing a beat, whipped out her phone and hit play on a video. It was surveillance footage from a hotel, showing Presley entering a room. Moments later, Bryan walked inside as well.

After Bryan disappeared into the room, a swarm of reporters forced open the door. Bryan soon emerged from the room and left, and Presley fled the scene, looking disheveled, with reporters chasing after her.

Noticing Stella’s stance, Amoura broke into a smile, and Presley’s eyes lit up with a spark of hope.

Presley watched Amoura closely. Ever since Amoura became part of the Deleon family, she had Javier completely under her control.

Despite her strong dislike for Amoura, Presley couldn’t help but view Amoura in a new light now.

Amoura had successfully avoided dealing with Bryan and Eileen.
