She's the Campus Prince

Chapter 641

Cameron hadn't seen Bradley in a long time. But they still kept in touch from time to time on WhatsApp.

After Bradley came back from the Saunders family that day, he forced himself not to see Cameron. His original plan to confess his feelings was put on hold.

He didn't want his family to find out about Cameron and do anything that might hurt her.

Cameron took the initiative to reach out and sent him a message on WhatsApp.

Cameron: [Brad, our final exams end this afternoon. Are you free tonight? Can we meet up?]

Meanwhile, Bradley was in the school library, going over his notes.

Not every school had the same schedule. Their finals wouldn't start until next week.

After getting Cameron's message, he went quiet for a while.

Ever since he'd said those harsh words at the Saunders Manor, Bradley had been getting calls from his family every single day.

All they ever did was try to talk him out of it, telling him not to act on impulse or he'd end up regretting it.

It had been almost two months, but they still couldn't accept the fact that he was into a boy.

But Bradley was calm about it. 'I like who I like. There's nothing I can't face,' he thought to himself.

After a moment's thought, Bradley texted back: [Alright, I'll choose the place and send it to you in a bit.]

Cameron: [Okay.]

After finals were over, Cameron headed back to her dorm.

Lila stretched and said, "Finally done with exams. I'm so exhausted these last few days."

Amelia shot her a look. "So, you can finally go on a date with your dear Calder, huh?"

"Stop making things up." Lila's cheeks turned red. But honestly, she couldn't be happier.

Seeing Cameron packing up her things, Sienna asked, "Cam, are you heading home?"

*

Sienna wasn't planning on going home. She was going to keep working at Aurevia Biotech over winter break. The pay was great-she could make enough in just over

a month to cover all her expense for next semester.

Cameron answered truthfully, "Not going home, just meeting a friend."

"Are

you meeting Bradley?" Amelia looked over at her.

Cameron just kept quiet.

Amelia saw that Cameron didn't deny it, and that was all the confirmation she needed.

Amelia leaned in, curiosity all over her face. "So, Cameron, how far have things gone between you and Bradley?"

Cameron said helplessly, "Amelia, you're really overthinking this."

Amelia raised an eyebrow. "Am I overthinking it, or are you just too scared to admit it?"

Cameron just stayed silent. She couldn't be bothered to explain. Amelia never listened anyway.

Cameron slung her backpack over her shoulder and was about to leave.

"Cameron," Amelia called after her, "Come on, you're meeting up with Bradley and that's what you're wearing?"

Hearing that, Cameron glanced down at her outfit. She was wearing a long down jacket that reached her ankles and a pair of black ankle boots. It was warm and honestly, looked decent enough.

Her hair had grown out quite a bit. It was now down to her shoulders.

Combined with her naturally soft, almost androgynous features, hardly anyone mistook her for a boy anymore. After all, it was pretty rare for guys to have hair that long.

"I'm fine with what I'm wearing," Cameron said.

. Amelia said, “Yeah, your outfit's fine, but seriously, gorgeous-you're naturally beautiful, but going to meet up with him with zero makeup? Isn't that a

bit much?"

Cameron replied, "It's not a date. I've actually got business with Brad."

With that, Cameron slung her bag over her shoulder and headed out.

Amelia was left speechless. 'Guess that's the perk of being good-looking-she can

do

whatever she wants,' she thought.

Bradley had picked a discreet restaurant for their meeting.

Cameron drove over. When she arrived, she was shown straight to the private

room where Bradley was already waiting.

Bradley had arrived half an hour early.

When Cameron pushed the door open, she saw Bradley sitting there right away.

Funny enough, he was wearing a long black puffer jacket too.

When Bradley saw Cameron, he froze for a second.

It had been two months since they'd last met, and to his surprise, Cameron had

grown her hair out. Cameron really looked like a girl now.

"Hi, Brad," Cameron called out. She looked over at Bradley as well.

Bradley hadn't changed much, but if you looked closely, he seemed a bit more steady and mature.

Bradley nodded. "Take a seat."

Cameron sat down across from him.

Bradley slid an iPad over to her. "Let's order first."

Cameron picked out two dishes.

Bradley added two more dishes and a soup.

Once they were done, Bradley slid the iPad aside, glanced at Cameron's longer

hair, and smiled, "So, why'd you suddenly decide to let your hair grow

out?"

Cameron replied, "Just wanted to try it."

Bradley chuckled, "It looks good on you."

'He really does look like a girl now,' Bradley thought to himself.

Cameron smiled, "Thanks."

Bradley found himself quietly watching her, unable to look away.

Other than her longer hair, Cameron was pretty much the same as before.

But no matter how hard he tried, Bradley just couldn't stop his gaze from drifting back to her.

It had been two months, and during that time, he'd found himself wanting to see

her all the time. But he forced himself to hold back every single time.

He just didn't want his family messing with Cameron.

"Um, Brad?" Cameron called out, a little uncertain. Being stared at so openly, Cameron raised a hand to her face, feeling a bit self-conscious.

That finally snapped Bradley out of it. He smiled, poured her a cup of coffee, and asked, "So, Cam, did you need something?"

Cameron nodded. "Brad, I just got my cut from The Starry, so I wanted to pay you back part of what I owe you first."

While they chatted, the dishes kept being brought in one after another. This place wasn't just private-the food was actually really good. The whole private room was filled with the delicious smell of food.

Bradley used the serving utensils to put a piece of pork belly on Cameron's plate and asked, "How much did you get?"

Cameron replied, "4.3 million dollars."

Bradley's lips curled into a smile. "Looks like it sold really well."

Cameron nodded. "Brad, I'll pay you back three million dollars first. I'll give you the rest once I've got some extra cash."

Bradley chewed his food slowly, watching Cameron quietly. Then he said, "Cam, you don't have to pay me back."

'Huh? What?' Cameron was stunned as she wondered, 'Did he just say I don't have to pay him back? This isn't just a few bucks or a couple hundred. We're talking near ten million dollars here.'

'How could he just say forget about it?' Cameron couldn't believe her ears. Cameron said, "Come on, Brad, don't joke about that, okay?"

Bradley looked her straight in the eye, his tome serious. "Cam, I'm not joking."

Cameron was speechless.

She finally said, "Brad, I know you've got money, but it's no small amount, so I

really have to give it back to you."

Bradley said bluntly, "No need. What's mine is yours."

Cameron wondered, 'Wait, did he just say what's his is mine?'

Bradley let out a helpless sigh. "Cam, you're so smart. I've made it pretty clear- don't you get what I mean?"

'What does he mean?' she wondered. 'Wait, does Brad mean he likes me? Is that why he said what's his is mine? That's ridiculous. I'm a girl, for crying out loud.'

"Still don't get it?" Bradley asked. He reached out and took Cameron's hand, which was resting on the table. Cameron instinctively tried to put it back, but

Bradley just held on tighter.

"Brad?" Cameron frowned.

Bradley said, "Cam, I've made it more than obvious. I recommended BL novels to you, took you to that bar, and even told you that what's mine is yours.

"It's just that I haven't come right out and said 'Cameron, I like you.' Do you really not get it?"

Cameron's eyes went wide-she was totally floored.

I actually guessed it right. Brad really does like me,' she thought, her heart pounding like crazy.

'Brad likes me.' Cameron's mind was spinning, unable to process what had just happened. 'But I'm a girl.'

Cameron pulled her hand back hard, giving Bradley a helpless look. "Brad, didn't I tell you a long time ago that I'm a girl? I-"

"What did you just say?" Bradley's eyes narrowed in shock as he stared at her.

'Did I hear that right?' Bradley thought, completely stunned. 'Did Cameron just say she's a girl? She's a girl? She's a girl-'

Cameron had no idea why Bradley looked so shocked. She repeated, "I told you ages ago that I'm a girl."

"When?" Bradley pressed.

Cameron replied, "Brad, did you seriously forget? At the start of the semester, you

asked me out to dinner, and I told you I was roommates with Amelia. You really don't remember?"

Bradley said, "I honestly never heard you say that."

Cameron was at a loss for words. 'No wonder he was so chill back then,' she thought. 'So he never even heard me say it.'

Bradley stared at Cameron, still in shock. He asked, "You're really a girl?"

Cameron nodded. "Yes."

Bradley suddenly just started laughing out of nowhere. His grin only grew bigger,

and soon he was laughing so hard he could barely stop himself. Cameron asked, "What's so funny, Brad?"

Bradley said, "I'm just laughing at myself for putting in all that pointless effort."

He kept trying to figure out where Cameron stood, over and over again. He even

stood up to his family for her. And in the end, it was all for nothing. But even so, Bradley was just so happy.noveldrama

Of course, he wanted his family to accept his relationship. And soon, that wish would come true.

Cameron asked, "So, Brad, you've always thought was a guy?"

Bradley nodded. "Yes."

Cameron said, "But I'm a girl."

Bradley replied, "That's even better."

Cameron was even more shocked.

Seeing how stunned she looked, Bradley said, “Cameron, I like you for

who you are. Gender doesn't matter to me."

Cameron was speechless. Just two months ago, Elijah had confessed his feelings

to her. And now Brad did it too.

Even after Elijah told her how he felt, nothing really changed between them.

'But what about Brad? Cameron wondered. 'Will things be different this time?'

Seeing Cameron go quiet, Bradley came right out and asked, "So, Cameron, what do you really feel about me?"

Cameron stayed silent. After a moment, she said, "Brad, my mind's kind of a mess right now. I can't give you an answer."

Bradley put another piece of food on her plate, a smile on his lips. But behind those gold-rimmed glasses, his eyes had a determined, almost domineering glint.

"It's okay. I'll give you time."

Cameron stayed quiet.

Bradley leaned in a little, his tone gentle but insistent. "Is three days enough for

you?"

Cameron just sat there in stunned silence, not knowing what to say.

Bradley said, "Cameron, I want your answer in three days."

Cameron blinked, finally asking, "Answer to what exactly?"

Bradley looked her in the eyes and said, "Will you be my girlfriend?" Cameron couldn't help but sigh.

Bradley quickly switched the topic to her company.

By the time the meal was over, Cameron finally spoke up, “Brad, could you send

me your bank account number? I want to pay you back three million dollars first."

Bradley just shook his head. "Keep the money for now. Honestly, from now on, every cent I make can stay with you." Cameron really didn't know what to say.

Bradley got up to pay the bill. He turned back to Cameron and asked, "Do you want me to drive you back to school?" Cameron shook her head. "No, I drove here myself. I'll just head straight home." "Where do you live?" Bradley asked.
