Chapter 1389
The students were left completely baffled by the parents' sudden change of heart. Just moments ago, they were all fired up, ready to see Fiona expelled from school, and then, out of nowhere, their attitudes shifted quicker than a weather vane in a storm. But, being young and all, they didn't overthink it. Besides, Fiona was well-liked, and deep down, most of them were rooting for her.
Louise, on the other hand, was fuming. She had put in so much effort to reach this point, and she couldn't believe everything unraveled with just a few words from the parents.
Once the parents left, the students gathered together to chat, still buzzing with the recent drama.
"The way I see it, we never should've doubted Fiona. Those online rumors were so over-the-top, they had to be fake," one of them said.noveldrama
"Totally! From the day Fiona transferred, she just clicked with us. I can't see her doing anything like that," another chimed in.
"Those forum posts were clearly just stirring the pot. Good thing we kept a cool head. Anyone less level-headed would've totally gotten the wrong idea," added a third.
The group was all chatter, mostly siding with Fiona.
Louise listened, her mood souring with every word, her fists clenched, and her smile so forced it looked more like a grimace.
A friend, who usually hung out with Louise, nudged her and asked, "Louise, why so quiet? What's your take on all this?"
Caught off guard, Louise couldn't pretend to ignore it. She forced a smile and said, "I think you guys have valid points. The person who posted those messages is just awful. But... we should wait for the actual investigation results before picking sides." Realizing how obvious her attempt to cover her tracks was, she quickly added, "But anyway, we're all classmates, we should look out for each other."
Her mind was elsewhere, plotting, so her words didn't quite add up.
Everyone paused but let it slide.
Louise took a step back and checked her phone. The tide on the forum had turned. Her supporters were now rallying behind Fiona.
Seething, she logged into her account and fired off a few angry comments.
"Do you guys still buy into her lies? Aren't
You worried she'll drag youn do with her? People like her don't
deserve any sympathy!"

"So young and already causing trouble-who knows what she'll do next!"
"I demand she be expelled! It's embarrassing to have someone like her at our school!"
After her rant, she felt a bit better and turned off her phone.
While everyone else was busy with their notifications, she added a few more words, trying to appear innocent.
"I have no idea who posted that garbage. It's terrible, ruining someone's reputation for no reason."
Feeling smug about her cleverness,
she was jolted back to reality the girl next to her gaspedid

Confused, Louise looked and saw her real name glaring at her from the forum. Somehow, her once
anonymous account was now out in the open!
