Alpha Twins And Their Hybrid Mate

Chapter 71

Nathan, Tristan, Sara and I caught a flight to Seattle as soon as we could get ready and go, with the exception that we wouldn't fall behind in school work. Sara and I agreed with the twins that we would help them finish their assignments if they had trouble doing it. We were both straight A students and Sara had already finished all of her courses, so she could just help the twins if she wanted to. But I had to do mine as well, but that wouldn't be a problem.

So as soon as we got there Tristan hired a car and we set out looking at the sites of Seattle as we drove through it.

I know that I used to live here, but looking around, it made me miss the place a little bit. But not as much as I thought it would.

I guess I had found my new home and I was happier in Alaska than I thought Inoveldrama

was.

When we got to the lab Celie was waiting for us and she took us up to the labs where the scientists were working.

She took us to a cell down the hall and there was a wolf in there going crazy. Absolutely berzerk, like last time I was here. But they used a dart gun, because they couldn't get near him, and they shot him with a dose of the serum.

It only took a couple of seconds to work before the wolf started to settle down and it turned back to his human form.

He looked at us with a strange expression, but I could see the happiness on his face.

"It really works that fast?" I asked.

"Yeah. But that's not all. Your blood is so potent, in a good way, that it's unique properties can be used to neutralize the effects of wolfsbane." She said.

"You're kidding." Nathan said.

"No. It's that good." Celie said.

"You told me that there was no cure for wolfsbane. If it was given in a high enough dosage then it could kill a wolf. Otherwise it dulls all of their scenes and they can't mind link or use their strength or anything." I said.

"Yeah. That's what wolfsbane does to us. But there was no cure before you." Celie said.

"So, this is going to give wolves a chance to actually find their mates. If they are given the serum then the pack members in our pack and Heartstone pack will be able to find their fated mates. Not just their chosen mates?" Tristan said. "Exactly." Celie said.

I could tell that the twins and Sara were all impressed and surprised by what we were seeing. And they could see why Celie wanted us to see it for ourselves. So they knew that it was working.

So that I wasn't just a guinea pig but that I was actually doing good for their pack.

This was so much more than we had ever expected.

"What else do you think you can do with my blood?" I asked.

"Right now, I think the opportunities are endless. But we're concentrating on the serum for the curse and the wolfsbane. They are the two major factors in our lives right now." Celie said.

"Of course." I said, looking back at the man in the cell.

A couple of doctors walked into the cell and they gave him some clothes to wear and they drew some blood from him to test it. But they had obviously done this for several other wolves otherwise Celie wouldn't have called us here.

We were actually getting closer to breaking this curse and I felt like I had done something really incredible to help my mates.

I've been living with them for months now, so I have seen them go crazy on the full moon.

Their father would always take them to the forest that had a calming effect on the wolves, but that did very little to help them.

Being near me helped them a little more, but I still needed to be careful. They still weren't completely in their right minds, but they did calm down a lot.

And now this might help them on those full moons.

"What would happen if we took some of this serum home? Would I be able to give it to the twins on the full moon? To stop them from going crazy?" I asked. And both the twins were eager to hear this answer.

"I guess it could be worth a try. I don't know what effect it would have on an Alpha just yet. Only because it hasn't been tried on an Alpha. But you can definitely try it." Celie said.

"Have there been any negative side effects?" I asked.

"At first. And we had to perfect it first. And that's what you've seen here. The perfected version of it." She said. And I nodded my head.

I looked at the twins and they seemed like they were interested in giving it a try. If

it meant they weren't trying to kill each other every month.

I was watching the scientists working hard in the labs as I walked around, seeing what was being done because of the blood that I donated to the pack.

They all seemed to know who I was and they all greeted me kindly and it felt like school all over again.

I didn't feel like I really deserved it. But I had never really had anyone be this nice to me before.

If I was going to be Luna I was gonna have to get over this embarrassment and get used to it. Because everyone would have to show me this kind of respect when I am in charge of the pack.

We walked around the whole lab, all floors, to have a look at what was going on.

Celie gave us passes to get in everywhere and she wasn't keeping anything a secret from us.

We were even allowed in the restricted section. But I didn't really like what I saw in there.

Guards were standing outside some cell's where wolves had been mutated in really strange ways. They were the ones that were given the serum before it was ready. They were the first ones to be given the serum when it didn't work and that was the result of what happened.

That upset me a lot, seeing what happened to those wolves. Those poor people.

They weren't going crazy anymore, but they didn't look too friendly either. And they didn't look too much like wolves anymore either.

Tristan and Nathan got me out of there before I started crying. I didn't want to believe that I had done that to them. Not when I wanted to do good for this pack.

Celie did warn me that the first few tests were big fails, and now I knew what she meant.

We sat Celie upstairs again and she saw Nathan with his arm around me and how upset I looked so the twins told her what we just saw. So Celie hugged me and assured me that it wasn't my fault. She takes full responsibility for it. She gave them the serum before it was ready. She was in too much of a hurry and she's so sorry that I had to see that.

"They were sacrificed for the rest of the pack." I said.

"And I was the one that sacrificed them. Not you. Believe me, we are still trying to find a way to reverse it." Celie said.

"That's why you haven't put them down." Tristan said.

"Exactly. I am doing everything I can to fix what I did. I promise." Celie said. But I just nodded my head.
