Alpha Twins And Their Hybrid Mate

Chapter 65

I kept looking everywhere around behind me, seeing if there was anyone hiding in the trees, but I still could see anyone. I couldn't shake the sense that someone was watching me. It was making me really nervous and I guess I was letting it show.

"What's wrong?" Sara whispered.

"I don't know. I've got this weird feeling that someone's watching us." I said.noveldrama

"Maybe it's the people we're here with." She said. But I shook my head while still looking behind me.

"I don't think so." I said.

"Do you want to go home? We can if you want." She said.

"No. It's alright. We can stay. You said that you wanted to go for a run later. We can stay for that." I said. And she nodded her head with a smile. I knew that it would make her happy to go for a run through the forest in her wolf form. I wasn't going to stop her from having fun just because I was feeling uneasy about something that I couldn't even explain.

We had to wait until everyone was asleep that night and Sara and I were outside in our sleeping bags, staring up at the sky.

Sara was fine outside because she was a werewolf. And I was fine outside because it wasn't the first night I'd spent outside. But that was just because of a shitty childhood. At least this time I had a sleeping bag.

When we were sure that everyone was asleep Sara got up and said that she was going for her run.

"Alright. If you're not back before midnight then I'm calling Dean." I said.

"Would you please have a little faith in my abilities? I can take care of myself." She scoffed as she was undressing, leading to the trees just past the clearing that we were in.

I made sure that I stayed awake so I sat up and I pulled my phone out of my pocket.

I didn't know if the twins were still awake or not. I really wanted to talk to them, but

I didn't want to wake them up. I know that they're on Alpha duties this weekend so they are going to be really busy.

I sat there looking at my phone, playing games and trying to keep my mind

occupied. But pretty soon midnight came and went. And Sara didn't come back like she was supposed to.

She promised that she would be back and she knew that I would worry about her if she wasn't back on time.

I waited around getting more worried by each passing second, but by the time it reached 1am I couldn't stand it any longer. I got up and I put my boots and jacket on and the teacher came out of his tent.

"Where do you think you're going?" He asked.

“Sara went to the bathroom. But she's been gone for way too long. I know that something's wrong. I'm gonna go find her." I said.

"No. You're not. If something has happened to her then we need to call for help.” He said.

"I know that you don't know me very well and you probably think that I am overreacting, but believe me, there's a lot more going on here than you realize. You need to pack up all of these other kids and get them the hell out of here.” I said.

"Alright. Now you are really overreacting." He said.

"What's going on?" Someone asked, coming out of their tent.

"Sara's probably lost in the forest." The teacher said.

"You need to get everyone out of here. I'm not joking." I said.

Then we heard a shrill wolf howl coming from somewhere in the immediate vicinity

of where we were. It sounded really close and I looked back at the teacher.

"Alright kids. Time to pack up. We're heading back to town." He said, quickly starting to pack up all their belongings.

While they were occupied I turned and I ran into the forest knowing that they wouldn't come looking for me. But pretty soon I heard the teacher start yelling my name so he realized that I wasn't there anymore.

I could feel my heart racing in my chest, I knew that Sara was in trouble. I just needed to find her before something really bad happened.

I stopped myself at one point and took a couple of deep breaths so I wouldn't panic. I needed to stay calm right now if I was going to find her. I pulled my phone out of my pocket but I had gone too deep into the forest, there was no signal where I was. So I couldn't call the twins.

I remembered all of the training that the twins had put me through and I let my senses take over. It was a lot easier than I thought. It was almost like Ava had pushed her way forward and my werewolf sense were coming out. Everything seemed so much more defined, I could hear a lot better, I could see in the dark a lot better.

But it wasn't long before I started to feel this strange presence guiding me without me even thinking about it. I was following a trail that wasn't even there and it took me straight to Sara.

She was tied to a tree and covered in blood, causing my stomach to leap into my chest. But then I saw a woman standing beside her. A woman that looked way too familiar to me. She looked just like the witch that kidnapped me in Seattle. But it couldn't be. Nathan killed her.

"Hello Ella. It's nice to finally meet you." The witch said. Alright, so she's not the same witch. But she looks identical to the one that kidnapped me. I kept a safe distance away, while also keeping an eye on Sara. She didn't look like she was too badly hurt, which was good. And werewolves heal really fast. So that was another good sign.

"Who are you?" I asked.

"I'm the twin sister of the witch your mate killed. And if you thought our coven was just going to stand by and let you lift this curse on your pack, you were mistaken. I'm here to finish what my sister couldn't." She declared.
