Whispers Of Betrayal (Anastasia and Alastor)

Chapter 31

Chapter 31

Anastasia was already in the hospital when she woke up

“Annie, what’s wrong with you?” Kimberly was guarding Anastasia by the bed and breathed a sigh of relief after noticing her friend woke up. “Why insist on drinking if you can’t drink? What’s the point of tormenting yourself?”

If Jason had not been worried about Anastasia and followed Kimberly here to check on her. Anastasia must have spent a night outside alone

“I’m fine.” Anastasia replied in a hoarse voice. She moved slightly and sat up, wanting to pull out the TV drip

“Your examination results aren’t promising. The doctor said that the doubling of HCG levels is not ideal Your baby might not be born successfully. The doctor wants you to prepare yourself mentally for it.” Kimberly sighed and chose her words carefully

Anastasia had already expected that her fragile body could never hurture a life.

Yet, her hand that was about to pull out the IV drip paused.

Anybody would have wanted to have their own baby if they had a healthy body.

She loved this baby very much

She also wanted the baby to be born healthy, even if it meant trading her own life for it.

However, the reality was always cruel.

“I have to go home… Snowball was alone at home last night. No one fed him breakfast,” Anastasia whispered and changed the subject.

Snowball was her only emotional support now.

She had to go home and accompany Snowball.

“I saw Alastor… I asked him to go home and feed Snowball, then come here to pick you up.” Kimberly averted her

Anastasia.

You saw lum in the hospital?” Anastasia was stunned for a moment.

gaze from

“Yeah… Kimberly lowered her head and replied after a long time, “Felicia’s also in the hospital. She’s just right next door, and Alastor has been with her the whole time. I saw him when I sent you here last night.”

“Oh” Anastasia leaned against the headboard, feeling her body numb.

“I’ll buy you breakfast. Behave yourself and have a good rest after getting the IV drip.” Kimberly warned Anastasia not to think about pulling out the IV drip.

Anastasia kept silent and leaned against the headboard with mixed thoughts.

The phone at the headboard rang. Anastasia picked it up and took a look, noticing that it was Alastor’s WhatsApp message

He sent a video of himself feeding Snowball, saying that he had taken care of the cat. He also asked her to take a good rest in the hospital.

She remembered that Alastor gave her support when she decided to adopt Snowball back then.

She knew that Alastor disliked children, so Anastasia did not dare to take Snowball home directly when she saw him abandoned by his previous owner. Instead, she took him to an animal clinic.

It was Alastor who discovered the cat hair on her body and asked her about it.

That night, Anastasia found Snowball at home, discovering the cat food and cat bed bought by Alastor too.

Alastor said, “Anastasia, you can keep the cat if you like. Thus is your home”

That night, Anastasia hid in the bathroom with her eyes turned red with tears.

Perhaps, it was around that time that she truly fell deeply in love with Alastor.

Having been married for four years, they were truly a model couple, showing mutual respect and taking care of each other

before Felicia came back.

If Felicia did not retur the country, they would probably continue to live such a “loving life”

They would continue to live for another year, two years, three years, or four years until she passed away.

Unfortunately, there was no “il” in reality.

It was because Felicia was the exception for Alastor. She had all his preferences and was the one he had no choice but to love. “You think you can tie Alastor down by having a child? I’m sorry to burst your bubble, but I’m pregnant too” At the door,

Felicia leaned against the door and said sarcastically, “Anastasia, stop struggling anymore. Wouldn’t it be better for both of us to keep our dignity?”

Anastasia stared at Felicia, recalling that it was Alastor who had given Felicia the confidence to provoke her multiple times.

“You even think of using a cat when you can’t tie Alastor down with a child? You’re ridiculous.” Felicia held a lot of

resentment.

Anastasia knew why Felicia was behaving at such. It was probably because Kimberly informed that Snowball was not fed, so Alastor left the hospital to feed the cat, causing Felicia to be unhappy-

Anastasia laughed sarcastically and said, “It turns out that you and your baby are less important than a cat I keep. Have you taken your breakfast?”

Felicia’s face darkened, and she gripped her own hands tightly. “Anastasia, let’s see how long you can stay smug. You’d better pray that your cat will never go missing.” Copyright by Nôv/elDrama.Org.

Felicia was clearly threatening Anastasia.
