When Love Breaks (Josephine)

Nadine happily took out a cheque from her purse and handed it to Adam.

"Pleasure doing business with you."

Adam took the check eagerly. When he saw the six-digit amount, he couldn't contain his excitement. "Ms. Sommers, thank you very much. If you have such assignments in the future, please look for me."

Nadine smiled and replied, "Of course. Send this picture to the paparazzi later. I want them to go public tonight."

An evil grin appeared on her face as she watched Adam walk away.

"Josephine, your good days are over! I'll take over your title of 'Mrs. Forbes.""

Once the press conference had ended, it was already past 9:00 pm. Josephine turned off the phone. Just as she was about to stand up, her stomach growled.

She quickly covered her stomach with her hands and let out an embarrassed cough.

Ethan wanted to laugh at first but was worried that she was embarrassed, so he held back. Then, he grabbed a banana from the table and handed it to her.

"Eat this. I'll handle the discharge procedures. Let's have dinner together afterward."

Josephine was mortified. "You heard it, didn't you?"

Ethan sat at the edge of the bed and put on his shoes. He said casually, "I heard it. It's pretty cute."

What did he mean by cute?

Josephine pouted. She was looking at the fruits on the table when eating the banana. "Since you're getting discharged, I'll give these fruits away to the patients in the next ward."

"No."

Unexpectedly, Ethan rejected her idea.

He looked at her seriously. "You bought these for me. How could you give them away? I'll bring them home and enjoy them later."

Why was he being so particular about some fruit?

He was getting better at flattery.

Ethan's initial plan was for

Josephine to wait in the ward while he handled the discharge

procedures. However, Josephine wanted to tag along and learn the process.

She thought the knowledge could come in handy down the road. In the end, bothnoveldrama

of them went to the counter together and completed the procedures.

Miraculously, just as they were done and about to leave the hospital, a few nurses approached them.

"Excuse me, can we take some pictures with the two of you?"

Josephine thought they had recognized her, so she was nervous. However, she

was also feeling smug. "Why do you want to take a photo with us?"

The nurses giggled. "Both of you look great. Are you influencers?"

It turned out the nurses thought they were good-looking.

Josephine was a little disappointed but she still played along and took a few pictures with the nurses along with Ethan.

Soon, she realized what the nurses true intentions were. After taking a few pictures together, they handed the phone to her, asking her to take pictures of them with Ethan.

It was clear that they wanted to take pictures with Ethan, and she was just an extra.

Forget it. Opposites would attract. She wasn't going to fight Ethan for their attention.

After taking the pictures, Josephine noticed Ethan smiling. She couldn't help but ask, "Are you very happy?"

Ethan raised an eyebrow. "What do you mean?"

"You certainly look happy. You can't

wipe that smile off your face. The

cute nurses were all fighting to get a picture with you. Aren't you thrilled?"

because of that."

"If that's the case, why are you smiling so much?"

"I'm smiling because the nurses thought we were a couple."
