Under the Veil I Rule

Chapter 316

In the heart of the storm, a few high-profile individuals were causing quite the stir. The surrounding staff at the hotel were on edge, rushing in to intervene. These guests were so important that if anything were to happen to them, the hotel would have to be sold to cover the costs. The scene quickly descended into chaos.noveldrama

Liliana was watching from the sidelines, and in the ensuing commotion, someone accidentally shoved her. She fell to the floor, her stomach hitting the corner of a table. Letting out a cry of pain, cold sweat beaded on her forehead.

"Everyone, stop right now!" Hogan stepped forward, his voice booming. "Get a doctor over here immediately, she's pregnant!"

That authoritative voice brought the chaos to a halt.

Indeed, Liliana was pregnant, and the child she carried was Finnian's, potentially the next heir of the Everly family. If something happened to her, it would be catastrophic. Panic swept through the crowd.

Finnian didn't seem overly panicked, but he rushed over, scooping Liliana up in his arms, and as he made his way out, he instructed, "Call her family doctor."

"On it," Hogan nodded briskly.

Amara watched the scene unfold with a cold detachment, her heart tightening even as a bitter smile formed on her lips. She turned to Elysia, "Ely, let's find somewhere to take a breather."

She cast a frosty glance at Dorian and Jessica before leading Elysia away.

Once they were settled in a room the staff had found for them, Elysia broke down in tears. She was a strong woman, rarely crying, and whenever she did, it was usually over Dorian. Amara's heart ached for her, silently cursing Dorian once more.

Amara stepped out to request some food from the staff, overhearing snippets of gossip nearby. "I thought Mr. Everly didn't care much for Liliana, but after she fell, he seemed pretty frantic..."

"Frantic? He looked calm as ever..."

"Maybe his face didn't show it, but didn't you notice how quickly he moved, and the concern in his eyes?"

Suppressing a wave of discomfort, Amara shot a glance at the gossiping staff, shut the door, and returned to Elysia's side.

She held Elysia's shoulders, offering comfort, but Elysia remained despondent.

Amara understood all too well, as she was in a similar predicament There was no future for her and Finnian. Even if Finnjan claimed to care for het, his heart and mind were solely occupied by Liliana,

Despite knowing this, Amara couldn't simply erase Finnian from her thoughts. She

had to gradually work through her feelings.

With a sigh, Amara fell silent.

Meanwhile, the family doctor arrived and was in the room examining Liliana. Finnian and Hogan waited outside.

Finnian's phone buzzed, and he stepped into the corridor to take the call, while Hogan paced anxiously by the door.

Liliana was under his care, and if anything happened to her child, he would bear some responsibility. The child had to be okay.

As the examination dragged on, Hogan approached the door, intending to ask about the progress but stopped when he caught a

strange tone in the conversation inside.

Wasn't she supposed to be too weak to talk? Why was she now demanding something so sharply?

Worried for Liliana's well-being, Hogan quietly cracked the door open, leaning in to listen more closely.

"Ms. Porter, there's nothing wrong

In fact, you're not pregnant

at all so there's no need to worry about these things."
