Chapter 294
Amara, though facing away from them, had her ears perked up, catching every word of their conversation.
Finnian didn't contradict Keith, which was a clear sign of agreement. Amara's lips curled into a deeper, colder smile, though a pang of bitterness flickered in her heart. She quickly squashed it down.
Just as Finnian was about to speak, Liliana approached with a smile. "What are you guys talking about?"
"Just chatting about how you had a little cold, nothing serious, yet Mr. Everly still came to keep you company. You two are really sweet," Keith replied.
Liliana gave a genuine smile. "It's okay. I heard Ms. Sullivan also caught a cold. Is this medicine for her?" She glanced at the cold medicine on the table. "You really care about Ms. Sullivan."
"Of course, if I don't care about Ama, who else would I care about?" Keith said casually.
While Keith was in a generally relaxed and cheerful state, Finnian's expression grew increasingly dark.
The two stood facing each other, and it was as if the space was divided into two halves—one bathed in warm sunlight and the other frigid as the Arctic. Even outsiders could feel the inexplicable tension in the air.
Amara felt a bit uneasy and turned to tug on Keith's sleeve. "Let's find a quiet spot. I'll explain the plot to you."
This was clearly an excuse, but Keith was more than happy to let Amara lead him away. "Sure, let's go."
"Wait a moment." Finnian stopped them as they were about to leave.
"Saturday at 5 PM, Grandpa is hosting a gathering at Vera Lodge. You should come," Finnian said, looking at Amara's profile.
Amara nodded. "Lisa already told me. I'll be there on time."
With that, she led Keith away.
Liliana moved closer to Finnian, biting her lip. "What kind of gathering? Mr. Kevin Everly's birthday has already passed, hasn't it?"
"Yes, it's not a birthday party. Grandpa wants to announce something," Finnian replied, not delving into details, clearly not wanting Liliana to get too involved in the Everly family affairs.
Liliana's eyes dimmed a bit as she texted Hogan, "Is your family hosting a gathering on Saturday? What's it about?"
"I don't know either. Grandpa just said he wants to announce something but didn't specify what. Are you coming? I can take you," Hogan replied.
Liliana smirked slightly, not immediately agreeing, and replied, "We'll see. I have to get back to filming now."
Soon, the set was ready, and the main actors' makeup was done. In a few
minutes, they'd start shooting.
Amara felt a chill on her cheek and sensed something was off. She touched her
mask, frowning. Why had it come apart at the seam?

home. On set, she needed to communicate frequently, so her mask was more breathable, with tiny ventilation holes, but the fabric was thicker and more durable.
The mask she used at home was lighter with transparent holes and could easily come off, so her first task each morning was to switch masks when she arrived at the set.
She remembered the mask was intact yesterday. Had it come apart from being worn too long? She'd need to buy a new one.
Amara checked the seam again. It wasn't too bad; as long as there wasn't a strong wind or rain, it should be fine.
Today's weather was forecasted to be sunny, so she wasn't worried and continued with her work.
At that moment, Cedric called her over to discuss the scene by the lakeside with Liliana and Keith.
This scene was quite important, and
Cedric had spent a significant
amount of money renting out the lakeside park. He hoped to nail the
scene in one go, so Amara
meticulously explained the plot to them, aiming to avoid any retakes. Cóntent noveldrama
