Chapter 505
Marlene pretended to stop Malcolm when she saw what was happening. "Malcolm, let him have it."
However, he didn't know how to read the room or put on an act. All he knew was no one could have what he wanted. He jumped out of his seat and approached Noah to drag him away. "Get off the seat now!"
Noah looked exactly the same as Zachary. After being punched by Zachary in the past, Malcolm didn't dare to get physical with Noah at all. "Get down now, feral boy!"
Yvette couldn't help clenching her fists when she heard Malcolm calling Noah a "feral boy" repeatedly. Meanwhile, Marlene was secretly pleased about the situation and didn't stop Malcolm at all.
When Clifford saw what was happening, he felt helpless. Then, he said to the maid, "Bring me another chair and place it next to me."
"No. I want this chair!" Malcolm was pampered badly, and he only wanted to sit in Noah's seat.
Yvette couldn't take it anymore, and she said, "Noah, come and sit next to me."
Noah obediently got out of the chair. "Alright."
Then, he looked at Malcolm with a caring gaze. "You should be younger than me, right? Then, I should let you have it. After all, we should be nice to our juniors."
He purposely said that so that Marlene could hear him. In a great family like theirs, the eldest child was significantly different from the children who were born afterward.
Marlene's face fell immediately. "I think you've mistaken, Noah. Malcolm should be older than you, so you should respect him."
"Is he older than me?" Noah looked confused. "Then, why is he being so childish? After all, it's just a chair, right?"
She was stunned. Meanwhile, Clifford laughed heartily. "You're right, Noah. It's just a chair and nothing to be angry about. I could tell you're older than Malcolm right away. Come and sit next to me. There's no need for you to return to your mom." After hearing that, Noah looked at Yvette, and she nodded at him. Then, he sat on Clifford's other side.
Malcolm had gotten what he
wanted, so he stuck out his tongue at Noah. However, he didn't notice how upset Marlene looked. She'd never expected Malcolm to be that stubborn at all. Noah had just arrived at Lane Mansion, and he'd already monopolized all of Clifford's attention.
She didn't like it at all, and she asked, "Yvvy, how old is Noah? He seems to be around the same age as our dear Malcolm."
When it came to age, Yvette was a little worried. She faked Noah and Zachary's ages, and they were actually two months older than what she had told everyone. "He's four now, and his birthday is in June."All content is property © NôvelDrama.Org.
"In that case, Malcolm is a month older because he's born on the fifth of May." With that, Marlene finally came out on top.
Yvette stopped answering Marlene. All she wanted to do was finish the meal as soon as possible and head back.
Soon, the maids served all the dishes on the table. Malcolm told them to place all of his favorite food in front of him. Then, he lowered his voice to mock Noah. "What a village bumpkin." Noah's gaze turned cold. He had never been merciful like Zachary and would always get his revenge.
"Just let us know what you would like to eat, and someone will get it for you, Noah," said Clifford.
After hearing that, Noah had an idea. He pointed at a dish in front of Malcolm and told the maid he wanted it. The maid didn't overthink it and grabbed a piece of the food for him. However, right when she grabbed it, Malcolm instantly said, "Don't let him have it. This is mine."
Clifford was in a great mood that
day, and he'd been putting up with Malcolm's antics repeatedly. Seeing how the latter was going to cause a scene again, he started getting a little furious. "Why are you being so insensible, Malcolm? Noah has just returned home, so can't you be nice to him?"
After being lectured by Clifford, Malcolm didn't dare to throw a tantrum again.
Suddenly, Noah just had to say, "Mr. Lane Senior, when I was living in the village with my mom, the boys around Malcolm's age were all politeHim, on the other hand... Well, my teachers would call boys like him selfish."
