The Princess Slave

Chapter 63

Violette POV

I woke up to a mixture of Master’s scent and breakfast. I looked around to see him sitting on the chair across from my bed with a book in his hand and a tray of food next to him on the table.

“Ma-ster?” I asked. He looked up from the book and sat it down.

“You’re awake.” He said.

“Ye-yes..” I replied.

“I.. was hoping you’d like to enjoy breakfast with me.” He said. I couldn’t fight the sleepy smile that appeared on my face.

“Break..fast?” I asked.

“Yes. Your voice is getting better. It doesn’t cut out as much.” He said. This was odd.. he’s never done this before. Has he changed his mind about me and decided to kill me? Is this the calm before the storm? Goddess.. Violette. Why such dark thoughts? He doesn’t want you dead. You should know this by now.

I sat and pulled the blanket off of me. I hadn’t realized the string between my breasts had untied in my sleep, until my gown slid down, showing my breasts completely. This text is property of Nô/velD/rama.Org.

My face turned bright red as I pulled the gown up and tied the string tightly.

“You’re.. cute when you first wake up.” He said. I closed my eyes and giggled.

“I thiiink.. you me-meant to s..say.. a mess.” I responded swiftly. He smiled as he picked up the tray and walked it over to me, sitting in my bed and placing the tray between us.

“Bacon?” I asked. The warmth of the food flowed up and into my face. It smelled amazing.. and it was fresh.

“Do you not like bacon?” He asked. I nodded.

“Ba-con.. is my favorite,” I said. He picked up a piece of bacon and held it out for me.

“Well, in that case, open your mouth.” He said. I didn’t hesitate to do as he asked.. He placed the bacon in my mouth and I bit down. The flavor was phenomenal.. I let out a m**n.

“Good, right?” He asked as he ate the other half. I nodded my head.

“I.. wanted to apologize for yesterday. I didn’t mean to be harsh.” He said. His facial features softened as he apologized.

“I didn’t.. mean to off-end you.” I said softly. He furrowed his brows.

“It shouldn’t have. You were right. It would help greatly.. if I’d married. But I will not.” He said. I nodded my head.

“Be-cause.. of your ma-mate?” I asked. He seemed to think for a moment before responding.

“Yes..” he said, he was unsure of himself.. that much I could tell.

“This week, I will be holding a transferring ceremony for Lillian. She wishes to join my kingdom and be a full part of the court.” He said. That surely brought a smile to my face. Lillian has been waiting for that since she marked Cedric.

“That..that’s good. She will be a gre-at addition to.. your kingdom.” I said. He grabbed a fork and picked up some eggs, then held it out for me. I still don’t understand why he doesn’t let me feed myself when he’s around, but.. nonetheless.. I do enjoy it. I feel as if it is an intimate thing, even if he doesn’t.

“She will.” He said.

We didn’t talk much after that.. but he continued to feed me and stare at me. It made me feel things I didn’t understand, and I wanted to address it but I never could. What if he didn’t feel the same? It would be so embarrassing to admit to things only for him to tell me he’s not interested.

After we had finished our breakfast, he stood up and began to leave, but he turned back and looked at me.

“Violette..” he said.

“Ye-yes?” I asked. He thought for a moment before speaking up again.

“Nevermind..” he said softly. He continued out of the room and left me with my thoughts.

Why is he doing this? Being so.. different? Was it because of yesterday? Something had clearly changed. I don’t know if it worries me or excites me.

A knock on the door made me stand.

“C-come in,” I said. The door opened and in walked Beatrice and Lillian with smiles on their faces.

“Are you ready for a day out?” Lillian asked. She was visibly excited for me.

“Wh-what do you mean?.” I asked. Loren walked in with buckets of hot water and began filling the tub.

“We have to disguise you until you’re out of the kingdom.. but when you are in the clear, you can do as you wish. You’re going into town with the King.” Beatrice said.

“W-what’s going.. on? Wh-where am I go-going? People.. will surely know it’s me..” I said.

“Which is why we have masking scent and a disguise. Now come.” Beatrice said, completely disregarding my other questions.

They helped me into the bath and began bathing me.

“Did you talk to him about what I brought up yesterday?” Beatrice asked.

“N-no..” I said. She let out a sigh.

“Do it. You won’t be disappointed, I promise you.” She said. I didn’t respond as they continued bathing me.

After they were done they helped me out and dried me off. I stepped into a dark blue gown with blue butterflies down the sides. It was quite a beautiful gown..

Lillian began doing my hair, she left most of it down and braided to small braids on the front top of my head and pinned them back with matching blue butterflies.

“Absolutely beautiful,” Lillian said. Beatrice nodded in agreement.

“Now.. help me get this on her,” Beatrice said. They wrapped a dark blue scarf over my hair and put a hooded cloak on my back, pulling the hood over my head.

“Now the scent mask,” Beatrice said. They spritzed me a few times and I was shocked by how quickly my scent disappeared.

“Perfect. Now, we will take you through the secret passage where the King is waiting in the carriage. It will be a two-hour ride, so make sure you have plenty to talk about.” Beatrice winked at me and I rolled my eyes.

They walked with me out of my room and down the hall. But before we hit the staircase, Beatrice pushed on the cement wall and opened a hidden door. They shooed me through and we walked down some stairs before landing in another hallway.

“Right this way,” Beatrice said. She led us to the end of the hallway and opened another hidden door, which led to outside. I saw a carriage waiting for me just as she said.

“Have a good time, Princess,” Lillian said as she hugged me tightly.

“Yes, dear. Do enjoy it.” Beatrice said as she also pulled me in.

I stepped out, looking around when the door of the carriage opened and I saw Viktor. Goddess.. my heart began racing the moment I saw him.

“Come.” He said. I walked to the carriage and he helped me in. I sat down, and he sat right in front of me. He wore a m blue dress shirt that matched my dress.. it clung nicely to his huge muscles. The sleeves were rolled to his elbows.. a few buttons were undone so I could see the top of his chest. He also wore a pair of black dress pants. He looked so good.. good enough to eat.

“You can take off the hood now.” He chuckled. Thank the Moon Goddess.. it was really getting hot. I pulled off the hood and removed the scarf and he stared at me oddly for a moment.

“W-what?” I asked. He looked away as if he’d been caught and smiled.

“You’re just so breathtaking.” He responded after a moment, looking back at me. Yes.. my heart did flutter at his compliments.
