Chapter 45 We Had Each Other’s Back

Gael took a step back upon hearing the report hit the table.

He said carefully. “Mr. Morgan, our hospital can transfer or discharge this patient.

Nathaniel stopped walking, and he turned around and stared at Gael coldly. Gael got even more panicked.

Did I say something wrong?

You can proceed with treating this patient; give her all the best treatment if you can.” He strode out of Gael’s office, and Koen quickly tagged along.

“Mr. Morgan, Mrs. Gomez is in ward 608.

Nathaniel nodded and got into the lift. He got off at the sixth floor, and he walked toward the innermost east side of the ward area.

Koen asked in a lowered voice. “Do you want to get a bouquet of flowers?”

It’s a courtesy to visit a patient with flowers, right?

Nathaniel smirked mockingly and answered. “The person from the Gomez family is not worthy of it.”

Koen did not dare to speak; he knew that Nathaniel had been emotionally unstable recently, and he did not want to be the scapegoat and be vented on.

But it was indeed unbearable for Nathaniel to be parting ways with his best friend, Jacob. The two of them were in a really bad situation now.

Koen doubted that Jacob might have an issue with his brain; if not, it was impossible for someone to like Freya and go against Nathaniel

Nathaniel walked slowly to ward 608. There was a long, rectangular glass pane on the door; he could see through it to the inside of the ward.

He stood still at the door, and he saw Freya, who was kneeling on the ground; she was grabbing on to Linda’s bony arm and sobbing

Her shoulders were shaking as she cried, she seemed so slim and bony.

The sunlight shone on her, and he thought that someone had to be really miserable to be in the same state as Freya Têxt © NôvelDrama.Org.

sudden urge to smoke. He slowly turned around and walked out of the ward area, Koen quickly followed after him

The visit to Leisville was a hide bit strange to Koen

Belance

Jacob got out of the car; he was dressed in a black sweater and white long pants. He wore a pair of sneakers as if he were from the streets.

He was someone who did not look like a typical chairman.

Jacob dashed toward the ward department, and he almost bumped into Nathaniel. He was shocked when he saw Nathaniel there.

Nathaniel put one of his hands into his pants pocket, and he was pinching a cigarette with another hand. He looked at Jacob expressionlessly.

Jacob was taken aback at being stared at like this by him; he could understand what he wanted just by looking at him. They were best friends for a long time.

It was normal for Nathaniel to slam doors and throw things when he was angry; it was abnormal for him to seem calm when he was angry.

Jacob took a deep breath, and he stood on the same step as Nathaniel. He did not want to be looked down on by Nathaniel; it was stressful for him.

Nathan Jacob called him.

“Hal” Nathaniel laughed mockingly.

Jacob subconsciously looked at the entrance of the ward department, and he said in a lowered voice. “Nathan, three years have passed. She had suffered more than she deserved. Can you help her mother who is in this condition?”

Nathaniel put out his cigarette, and he looked at Jacob, Jacob, why did we always win when we were fighting in Chinatown last time?”

Jacob was stunned.

Nathaniel continued to say, “Because we had each other’s backs, and I trusted you to never backstab me. So we always win”
