The Mafia’s Third Wife: Between The Devil’s Triangle

A Chance

Chapter 19 A Chance

Alfredo’s words were met with an angry response from Alfonso. He seemed to be losing patience with the situation, and he was clearly frustrated. However, Alfredo remained calm, trying to find a way to reach Alfonso.

“I know this is a difficult situation,” Alfredo said but Alfonso cut him off.

“You think you know….. You didn’t have to see what I saw… Alfredo. I’m telling you that Ramos isn’t someone we should reason with, but the best thing we can do is kill him.” Alfonso said.

“Alfonso, I know… that this is hard for you, but violence might not be the way to solve the issue. I don’t think we should use the same tactics he uses to win.” Alfredo said.Exclusive © material by Nô(/v)elDrama.Org.

“Then you are a goddamn fool if you think that Ramos is going to just give up his bitch of a bride’s father just like that after you try to reason with him, then you are way over your head Alfredo.” Alfonso said.

“I think what Alfonso said is correct Alfredo.” Raven said as both brothers looked at her wondering what she wanted to say.

“As much as I don’t support violence, but one thing I know is that Ramos won’t give up my father that easily. He would want to kill all of you and take me back to be his third wife. And I am not ready to be that son of a bitch’s third wife. I hate his guts and I really want to run a knife right through him!” Raven said frustration and anger in her voice.

“I understand where you are coming from Raven, but I will still stand on it that we shouldn’t use the same level of tactics to win.” Alfredo said.

Alfonso rolled his eyes. “I’m telling you, my way is better,” he said, his tone growing more insistent. “Let’s just do it my way, and get it over with.”

“No,” Alfredo said, his voice firm.

Alfonso’s words were like a slap in the face. Alfredo felt his temper flare, and he struggled to keep his cool.

“Just because you don’t like her doesn’t mean she deserves to die,” Alfredo said, his voice barely above a whisper. “No one deserves that.”

“She’s a selfish, shallow woman who only cares about herself,” Alfonso said, his eyes blazing with anger. “And she deserves whatever she gets.”

“You don’t know anything about her so don’t come here and make conclusion. She went through a lot Alfonso. She didn’t agree to be Ramos third wife willingly, but was forced to be his wife by threaten to kill her father.

Going with your idea would make us exactly the same with Ramos and I don’t want to be like him Alfonso. Never!” Alfredo said his voice laced with anger.

“I don’t care what happened to her. I would have killed Ramos when I had the chance, but I didn’t because you told me not too.

But the next time I get a chance to kill him, I would not hesitate even if it is to sacrifice this bitch here to do it.” Alfonso said facing Raven and then storming off in anger.

“Why doesn he hate me so much?” Raven asked Alfredo.

“He doesn’t hate you birdie. Something happened to him that made him this way… so let’s just try to understand why he is acting like this.” Alfredo replied.

“What happened to him…?” Raven asked, her voice filled with curiosity.

“I will tell you later, but for now let’s think of a way we can get your father Mr. Salvador out of Ramos house without resulting to violence.” Alfredo said.

“Okay…. so what do you have in mind Dr. Lee or should I call you Alfredo?” Raven said.

“Alfredo is fine…. and I’m sorry for not telling you the truth, but honestly, would you have trusted me with your father’s health if I told you I was a mafia?” Alfredo asked searching Raven’s eyes for answers.

Raven looked straight at him and her expression cold. “I honestly don’t like mafia. Infact I hate them like shit!”

Alfredo’s question hung in the air, and the tension between them was palpable. For a moment, neither of them spoke, and the silence seemed to stretch on forever. Finally, Raven broke the silence.

“You’re right, I probably wouldn’t have trusted you if I had known,” she said, her voice steady and calm. “But that doesn’t change the fact that I’m grateful for what you did for my father. I know it wasn’t easy for you to do, and I appreciate your help.”

Alfredo gave a small smile, and some of the tension eased from the room. ”

“I know it’s not easy for you to trust me after what you’ve been through,” Alfredo said, his tone gentle. “But I hope that over time, you’ll come to see that I’m not like the other mafia members you’ve met. I’m different.”

Raven met his gaze, searching his eyes for any sign of insincerity. But all she saw was honesty and sincerity. “I’m not sure if I can trust you yet,” she said, her voice trembling slightly. “But I’m willing to give you a chance.”

A small smile crossed Alfredo’s face, and he gave a nod. “Thank you,” he said, his voice filled with gratitude. “I promise you, I will do everything in my power to earn your trust. And to help you find a way to rescue your father.”

For a moment, Raven just looked at him, and then she gave a hesitant nod. “Okay,” she said, her voice barely above a whisper. “Let’s start by talking about what our next steps should be.”
