The Invincible Arthur Gardner

Chapter 43 - Lakeside Serenity

Chapter 43 - Lakeside Serenity

Arthur and Edna carried on with their brief holiday to Golden Lake and decided to stay overnight on

Golden Lake Island that day. As luck would have it, Claudina was performing at the venue the following

day, so they arranged to meet up for dinner that evening.

They spent the afternoon leisurely sailing on the yacht, relishing the seafood delicacies prepared by the This is property © NôvelDrama.Org.

chef from Golden Park Restaurant. As they sailed, Arthur and Edna paused to sit on the banks,

throwing fish food into the water. Even though winter was in full swing, the water was beginning to

thaw, a sign that spring was fast approaching.

"This is certainly very good," Arthur said proudly.

"Did you also buy Gold Park Restaurant for its food, boss?" she asked, smiling.

Arthur gazed out at the tranquil waters of Golden Lake, the sun setting low in the sky. He had been

sitting here, on the edge of his super luxury yacht, for the past hour. He felt relaxed, the sound of the

water lapping against the hull the only sound in the air.

Edna shook her head, her eyes closed in pleasure as she took in the view of the lake from the super

luxury yacht. "Sometimes," she said quietly, tilting her head to look at Arthur, "I think I'm still dreaming."

"Maybe it's not just you," Arthur replied thoughtfully. "Maybe I'm dreaming too."

Arthur let out a chuckle as he reminisced about the remarkable transformation that had taken place in

his life – from living an ordinary existence one moment to suddenly becoming wealthy the next. Even

he had not been able to fathom such a drastic change.

"Do you dream of having a beautiful assistant like me, boss?" she asked, batting her eyelashes

playfully.

"I thought beautiful people were recognized by others, not by themselves?" Arthur retorted, his gaze

twinkling with mischief.

"Well, I'm sure I'm recognized by many people," she replied with a giggle, "except for you, boss."

The cold winter air nipped at Arthur and Edna's skin, but they were warmly dressed in their thick winter

coats and snuggly scarves. They sat in two comfy chairs, and Arthur savored a cup of hot cocoa.

He glanced at Edna, his beautiful assistant, who had her eyes closed, contentedly enjoying the

moment. She opened her eyes, then smiled brightly at him and softly laughed.

"I'm so very happy today," she said, her voice ringing with joy, "I can't even describe how I'm feeling."

Arthur inhaled deeply, taking in the lake's tranquil beauty. The sun was just beginning to dip below the

horizon, painting the sky with a kaleidoscope of colors, and the distant shoreline was just visible, the

trees outlined in darkness. Peace and contentment settled over him.

"I can picture this place becoming a world-renowned recreational center, offering employment

opportunities to those who are less privileged," Arthur said dreamily, his voice tinged with hope.

Edna, who looked ethereally beautiful in the fading light, replied in a tender and wistful tone, "It's a

wonderful vision." Her hair gleamed like a halo, and a tranquil smile illuminated her face.

Arthur nodded in agreement. "Right, so in the near future I'm going to gather the necessary talent to

make this business empire a reality," he said with excitement, turning to Edna.

"Do you have any ideas on how you can do that?"

"Yes," Arthur replied confidently. "I'm planning on joining the young entrepreneur program as a potential

investor in order to discover creative people with promising ideas. I want to recruit those who share the

same vision as me."

Edna's warm smile and encouraging nod filled Arthur with assurance. "I think you have a very clear

plan of what you're going to do, boss," she said admiringly.

"I'm sure you can," She added, expressing her admiration.

The two of them sat in serene silence, taking in the beauty of the surrounding scenery. Edna broke the

quiet by exclaiming, "This is the most gorgeous thing I've ever seen! All these stunning colors and the

tranquility of the lake is simply breathtaking!"

Arthur nodded with enthusiasm and smiled warmly in agreement. He couldn't help but admit that the

lake was truly a sight to behold.

Suddenly, a flock of birds soared above them, their calls reverberating across the lake. Arthur and

Edna lifted their eyes to watch them, captivated by their V-formation, their wings almost touching. He

was in awe at sight and felt Edna's hand on his palm.

Edna gasped in awe, her face lighting up with delight as she clapped her hands lightly. "Woah! The

birds look absolutely stunning!"

Upon arriving at Gold Lake Island, Edna tenderly grasped Arthur's left arm as they disembarked from

the yacht and made their way toward the stunning villa situated at the edge of the aisle.

"You're sure to love this villa." She assured him.

The villa's grandeur and opulence filled them with awe as they entered. Its pristine white walls, adorned

with exquisite designs and sculptures, gave the villa a regal and majestic atmosphere.

The terrace, with its intricate balustrades and captivating view of the lake, is ideal for enjoying a

peaceful cup of tea.

The villa on the small island of Golden Lake was the ideal destination for any type of occasion. Its fully-

equipped kitchen, complete with modern appliances and amenities, and its private beach, with stunning

views, provided the perfect combination of beauty, elegance, and comfort to ensure that each stay was

memorable.

Feeling that he had to get ready for dinner with Claudina, Arthur decided to enter his room and

immediately started to undress in order to take a dip in the hot spring pool that was open and

overlooked the lake. Even though the place was still relatively secluded and had a nice view.

A few minutes later, Arthur had put on an elegant black suit, and Edna offered to help him with his tie.

After she finished tying it, she beamed with pride and said, "You look so handsome!"

"Thank you, Edna," Arthur said with gratitude.

"Please pass on my kind regards to Ms. Claudina as well." Edna smiled kindly in response.

That night, at an elegant restaurant on the edge of the island, Arthur was warmly welcomed by the

waitress and promptly settled into the reserved table.

He glanced around the room and remarked, "Well, now we just have to await the arrival of the

princess."
