Sweet Revenge: Jace & Emerald

Chapter 77

Emerald sat on her chair in her office at ACEGame, her eyes fixed on the glowing screens. Creep continued hacking every CCTV around the Red House just in case their enemy decided to transfer Dr. Sanders and Ember again. Despite the bustling activity around her, Emerald felt a gnawing sense of dread. She hadn’t gone home, staying close and connected to her husband, where she could be updated in real-time.

She wanted to know what was happening on Jace’s side and ensure he was also okay. Young Morgan was worried about her husband, too, so she was thankful that he took Liam with him. Emerald was busy thinking about the love of her life when her phone buzzed.

“Jace, any news?” she asked after she quickly answered when she recognized Jace’s number. Her voice was tight with worry.

“We found them, dear wife,” Jace replied, his voice steady and reassuring. “Cedrick located Dr. Sanders and Ember. They’re at the Red House.”Content property of NôvelDra/ma.Org.

Emerald let out a shaky breath, relief washing over her momentarily before anxiety crept back in.

“So, what’s the plan? Are we going to get them out now?” she asked hurriedly. Jace hesitated before answering.

“We need to wait for the warrant. The police are working on it, but it won’t be ready until morning. We don’t have a choice but to sit tight for now.”

Emerald’s heart sank. “Morning? That’s hours away. Anything could happen before then!”

“I know,” Jace said, his tone soothing. “But Cedrick is with them. He’ll keep them safe until we can move in. The important thing now is to stay calm and wait for the right moment.”

Emerald ran a hand through her hair, trying to steady her breathing. “I can’t just sit here and do nothing,” she admitted, her voice breaking. “What if something goes wrong?”

Jace’s voice softened. “I understand, dear wife. Believe me, I do. But Cedrick is good at what he does. He’s trained for situations like this. We have to trust him.”

Emerald nodded, even though Jace couldn’t see her. “I know. It’s just hard.”

Jace continued to speak, his voice a steady presence in her ear. “Ronnie is outside the Red House now, watching things. He reported that Cedrick messaged him, confirming they were in a hidden room. They’re safe for now.”

Emerald felt a small measure of comfort in Jace’s words. “Okay. I’ll try to stay calm. But please, keep me updated on everything.”

“I will,” Jace promised. “And dear wife, you’re doing great. Just hold on a little longer.”

She hung up the phone, feeling a bit more grounded. Creep glanced over at her, his expression sympathetic. “Hang in there,” he said. “We’ll get them out.”

Emerald nodded, appreciating the support but still feeling the weight of the long night ahead. She settled into her chair, trying to focus on the screens and her thoughts with Cedrick, Dr. Sanders, and Ember, hoping the morning would come quickly and end their ordeal.

“Who do you think took your mother, M?” Creep asked out of nowhere. After he focused his hacking on the CCTV in the parking lot and around the establishment to ensure he could see any activity, he looked at Emerald.

“I don’t have any idea either,” Emerald replied. “But Jace, Grandpa, and Dad agreed to look after the Morgans. Although I didn’t think they would still have the resources to do that, I can’t ignore that possibility, right?”

“I think so too. But Mr. Morgan lost everything, right?”

“That’s what I think too. But we can never tell. What if Emerson was hiding something from us? Or even from his family? I know him; he’s greedy, and nothing matters to him most but money.”

“Ms. Ember is not in very good condition. We both know that keeping her will only make him spend a lot. Dr. Sanders was there to ensure your mom’s health, right?” Emerald nodded before Creep continued. “Then she must be in a serious condition, and whoever took her had been taking care of all of her medical needs. Emerson has no money, as far as we know.”

Young Morgan wanted to believe it, but the cringe she felt about the situation and the fact that they knew Emerose was working in the same place as Dr. Sanders and Ember held captured made her uneasy and suspicious.

When Jace arrived, it was midnight, and young Morgan looked worried. “Did something happen?” she asked, but young Higginson smiled and shook his head.

“The police said that we should leave.”

“What?” Emerald exclaimed and abruptly got up from her office chair. Creep, who was sleepy, suddenly felt awake when he heard her. “What if they bring Dr. Sanders and Mom out of the Red House again? What the hell were they thinking?”

“Calm down, dear wife. The police didn’t leave the premises with Ronnie. The request for a warrant is ready and will be brought to the prosecutor as early as possible.” Jace explained. “And don’t forget that Cedrick is with Dr. Sanders and your mom as we speak.”

A deep sigh of relief came out of Emerald. “I’m sorry if I acted”

“Don’t be; I understand. But for now, we must go home and rest to prepare for tomorrow.”

“But”

“Liam is there,” Jace cut off her words.

“Fine.”

“You felt relieved when I mentioned his name, dear wife,” Jace asked, creasing his forehead. He felt jealous, thinking Emerald trusted Liam more than him.

“Oh, come on, Jace. I just know Liam.”

“And me?”

Emerald couldn’t say anything for fear that she would say something that would make her husband upset or jealous. “Ahm, Jace is right. Go home, M. You need to rest, too. Don’t make Ace worry as well.” Creep chimed in, thinking the couple would argue about Liam.

“I already said fine,” Emerald said as he averted his gaze from her friend, who was now scratching the back of his head.

Jace took young Morgan’s bag and offered her his hand before they started leaving the office. But Emerald remembered something, so she stopped and looked at her friend, “You have to rest as well Creep.”

“Don’t worry, Elise will be coming over. I’ll guard the Red House perimeter so they won’t have a chance to escape.”

“Thanks, Creep.”

“You know this is nothing, and you’re always welcome, M.” That’s all, and the couple left hand in hand.

In the car, Emerald noticed that they were going the wrong way. “I thought we were going home?” she asked, looking outside the window.

“Yes,” Jace replied, making young Morgan look at him.

“This isn’t the way to my house.”

“I know.”

“Care to tell me where we are going?”

“I already said home.”

“Come on, Jace.”

“Your father and grandfather are in your mansion; I want to punish you for trusting Liam more than me.”

“What? What are you talking about?” she exclaimed and noticed that they were going to the Software Group building.

“In my penthouse. I want to bring you to our mansion, but it is a little far, and I’m sure you’ll ask me to go to the Red House first thing in the morning, so staying here would be convenient.”

After a few minutes, young Higginson parked his car in the basement of the building, opened the passenger seat door, and helped Emerald get out of the car. They held their hands as they entered and exited the elevator when they reached the penthouse.

“Now, dear wife, you shall receive what you deserve,” Jace said before claiming his wife’s mouth, not giving her a chance to say anything.

With everything that happened, Emerald felt the urge to respond to her husband, who was now sucking her tongue. Her hands started to caress Jace’s chest, going up to his broad shoulders; she clung to him and wrapped her legs around his waist when he carried her.

They ended up in his bedroom, and young Higginson had her lie on his bed. Their eyes locked on each other as he said, “You trust Liam more than me?”

“It’s nothing like that.”

“Shh. There’s no need to explain,” he said, thinking Emerald was only making an alibi. “I understand that you know him more and that you two spend more time with each other while we are away. But it hurts me thinking there’s another man with whom you had spent your difficult times.”

“J-Jace…” Emerald muttered. She looked at her husband and capped his face with both her hands before kissing him, to which he responded with so much desire, making young Morgan’s body overflow with lust.

Young Higginson began undressing Emerald while he continued kissing her on her lips to her face, down to her neck, and ended up on her already exposed breast as he took off her tops and bra. There, he let his tongue play on her little hard buds, making her grab her husband by his hair and pull him closer, never wanting him to stop what he was doing.

Jace’s hands began to travel down Emerald’s body until they reached her belt and unbuckled it before unzipping and unbuttoning her slacks.

“Ohh, Jace..” she moaned in pleasure when he gave one of her nipples little bites before sucking it, making Emerald gasped in euphoria.

When Jace finally took off her slacks, he stood up and began to undress himself while young Morgan watched him with her lustful eyes. He joined her back in bed and began pleasuring Emerald again before he positioned himself on top of her and roughly thrust in her.

He continued pounding on her until they both screamed in pleasure when they reached their climax.
