Sweet Mischief’s Rollercoaster Romance

Chapter 1453

Mia stared at the man in front of her he hadn't budged an inch, not even a flicker of surprise on his face.

She couldn't help herself and blurted out again, "Seriously, I'm not making this up. I really am married to Andre. It's not just someone with the same name—you're with The Silent Ring, you must know him."

The show had already started, and "Auntie" was on stage alone, pulling every negotiation trick she knew.

Andre was sweating bullets. With the way his wife was playing this, all he could do was stand still and hope for the best.

"Believe me or not, just-don't call Andre, okay? If he finds out his darling wife snuck into The Silent Ring, I'll never hear the end of it."

Andre cleared his throat. "Mm."

Mia: "......"

Andre watched as Mia's face froze in shock. Why'd she suddenly clam up?

Only then did he realize that one tiny sound from him had stopped her in her tracks.

"Did I mention you have the same build as my husband... and your voice, too?" Her words were soft, almost suspicious.

Andre: ".noveldrama

Mia gave up on all her clever tricks and just took a step closer, eyeing the man across from her.

Andre looked down, watching her inch closer, unsure whether to laugh or panic. He knew that tiny sound he made had nearly given himself away.

Meanwhile, the onlookers were getting restless, craning their necks for a good fight, wondering why nothing was happening.

Noah, standing offstage, scratched his head. He had no clue how the boss was going to play this one out.

Andre wasn't sure either-how was he supposed to keep his cover without Mia catching on?

No matter what she said, he kept his lips sealed.

"Hey, I have a son, you know. Aren't you the least bit curious?"

"My kid's a real troublemaker, you know?"

"He once waited until my husband was out, snuck into his office, and wrecked his printer. Bet you didn't know about that."

Andre: ". ." When did that little rascal break my printer?

Mia kept going, "Oh, and my son once squeezed his tiny feet into my husband's socks, tripped over them, and got so mad he tossed them in the toilet. I had to fish them out so the pipes wouldn't get clogged. Then he snuck those socks into his dad's clean laundry, and Andre wore them to work without even knowing. Did you ever hear about that?"

Andre: "..... ." Wait, what? He had no idea his wife and kid had pulled this kind of stuff at home.

Mia blinked. The man across from her still wasn't reacting. Even stories about their son weren't getting a rise out of him.

She thought about sharing more secrets, but figured two family stories were enough for any mom.

The crowd below started getting noisy, everyone chattering about what was going

on.

Even Molly, sprawled at the edge of the ring, called out, "Mia, are you going to throw down or what? Go get him!"

Andre glanced over at his sister. Fifteen years away, and the Byrne family had turned her into a total wild child.

Mia caught him zoning out and made her move—she balled up her fist and charged.

The man in front of her stayed rock-solid, not saying a word, not giving anything away. Instead, her own heart thudded with a wild, uneasy suspicion. fo

Forget it, she thought. I'll just go for it.

Just as she lunged, Andre, keeping his sister in the corner of his eye, caught Mia's fist in his big hand and, with one smooth motion, pulled her straight into his arms.

A collective gasp rippled through the room.

Mia found herself wrapped in his embrace.

Off to the side, Molly yelled, “Mia, get out of there! You're my Mia! If Andre finds

out someone else hugged you, he'll tear that guy apart!"
