Sinful Mates 1-3

chapter 40

chapter 40

Anxiety kicked in my adrenaline pumping through my veins. My head was spinning, how could this

all happen, an hour ago everything was fine and normal. Now Tom was dead. He was gone, another

person dying on me, and this time it was all my fault.

The back door opened, and I slid as far away as the seat would allow, my back hitting the door.

Tobias got in next to me. Theo jumped in the driver’s seat and tore out of the carpark the car scrubbing

out on the driveway. Tobias reached for me and I kicked him in the shoulder. He grunted and grabbed

my legs pinning them to the seat.

“You killed him, you fucking killed him. Get away from me. You fucking monster,” I screamed. Theo

slammed the breaks, and I was thrown into the footwell. Tobias reached down and grabbed the front of

my blouse and ripped me back up and onto the seat. We were in heavy traffic. He reached over and

tried to clip my belt in, but I scratched his face trying to get away from him.

“Fucking stop, Imogen.” He pinned me on my back, on the seat. Leaning over me and I started

screaming, hoping that since we were stopped in traffic someone could hear me. Tobias growled and

put his hand over my mouth. I bite him hard enough to draw blood. He ripped his hand away and I

could see it bleeding.

“Do something, Theo. I am about to fucking lose it with her” He wasn’t lying when he said he was

losing control. Fur was growing on his arms, his claws extending, digging into my arms. His canines

protruding right in front of me, his teeth looked sharp next to my face.

“Swap places with me,” Theo said, letting go of the wheel and putting the handbrake on before

jumping in the back. Tobias jumped over into the front seat. Cars were honking their horns behind us

because traffic was moving and the car was stopped. I tried to sit up but was shoved back down by

Theo. He leans in trying to calm me with the fog, but I lash out and slap him across the face and kicking

him back with my feet. Theo snarled before pouncing on me, pinning me with all his weight, his face

barely and inch off mine.

“Stop fighting.”

“You killed him. I fucking hate you.” His eyes blazed blood red burning brightly.

“He isn’t dead yet, now stop or I will make you watch when I do kill him.” His voice was cold as ice

and a shiver ran up my spine. My heart rate picking up as panic kicks in again and I start trembling. Hot

tears form in my eyes and run down my cheek. Theo’s eyes soften before he loosens his grip slightly. I

feel the fog washing over me, calming every muscle in my body. I don’t fight it. I relax into the feeling. I

can’t cope right now; I just want it to go away.

Tobias continues driving, and when we hit the dirt road, I know we are out of the city. Theo allows

me to sit up and I scoot over pressing myself against the door to stay as far away from him as possible.

When I see the bend leading onto the side road before our turn off, I grip the door handle waiting for

the car to slow down enough. Just as the car slows down, I throw the door open and throw myself out.

Theo screams, and I noticed him try to grab me, but he wasn’t expecting me to throw myself out and

was too slow. I fell from the car and skidded and rolled across the dirt. The idea seemed good at the

time, until I felt like I was being skinned alive. I felt the air leave my lungs on impact. Felt the palms of

my hands being ripped to shreds, and I felt my wrist snap, making a sickening noise on impact.

The car screeched to a stop, dirt and dust flying everywhere. I pulled myself up onto my hands and

knees, screaming at the pressure on my wrist that was sending shooting pain up my arm. Coughing on

dirt and trying to get air in my lungs.

When I heard the door open, adrenaline shot through me and I managed to stand, stumbling

forward before finding my feet. I took off running straight for the tree line, only I didn’t make it. I

collapsed onto my hands and knees, and before I knew it feet appeared in my line of vision.

I clutched onto his pants legs, trying to pull myself up. What a stupid Idea that was. Fear made me

do some stupid shit sometimes, but this definitely took the cake. I should have realised I couldn’t outrun

them. I was now paying dearly for that stupid decision.

Tobias leant down and picked me up from under my arms and placed me on his hip.

“That was the most irrational thing I have ever seen you do,” he growled out. I nodded resting my

head on his shoulder. My entire body ached, my face felt like it had gravel rash on it and my skin

burned. Tobias placed his hands under my ass to support and hold my legs around him before walking

back to the car.

He placed me on the passenger seat before buckling in my seat belt. When he climbed in, he

locked the doors before taking off again. I groaned in pain.

“Why would you do that? You could have died, Imogen,” Theo spat out with a growl. My whole

body was trembling in shock. Five minutes later, we pulled up out the front of the house and Tobias

unlocked the doors. Theo got out slamming the door so hard the windows shook. I saw in the mirror

him walking around to the boot.

I realised Tom was still in the boot. Now that we were stopped, I could hear him banging around,

very much still alive. I pushed the door open forcing my legs out of the car. I used the door to help me

stand, my legs felt like play dough. I lent on the car walking to the back end when Tobias grabbed me

around the waist. I see Theo help Tom out of the boot. Theo grabbed him by the front of his shirt, and I

started screaming trying to get out Tobias’s grip. Theo threw him on the ground and Tom landed on his

back. Turning my head, I bit Tobias’s bicep, his grip loosened immediately, and I ran to Tom, throwing

my body over his.

“It’s ok, Imogen, I’m fine,” Tom said under me. I don’t know if he was trying to reassure himself or

me, maybe both. Tobias gripped my waist trying to pull me off him, but I held onto his clothes refusing

to let go and ignoring the pain in my wrist.

“Don’t hurt him please, please.” Hot tears streamed down my face. I heard Theo growl before he

pried my fingers off Tom’s shirt. I started kicking and screaming as Tobias reefed me up, pulling me

against his chest. I managed to kick Theo as Tobias pulled me away, which only angered him more.

Theo grabbed my shoulders and shook me.

“Enough Imogen, that’s enough. Fucking stop,” he screamed. Clutching my face. His grip

squishing my face in his hands. I could feel his hands shaking before Tobias shoved him away from me

with one hand.

I looked up at Tobias, tears spilling from my eyes as I started sobbing uncontrollably.

“Please Tobias, tell him to stop.” Tobias eyes softened slightly before he looked over to Theo. Theo

pulled Tom to his feet holding him by one arm.

“Stop Theo, we kill him we are only hurting her.”

Theo’s head snapped in my direction; the look he gave me sent chills done my spine. I pushed

myself closer to Tobias, frightened. Theo’s eyes looked demonic, and I could tell he wanted to kill Tom.

I could also tell if he did, he would enjoy killing him, like he craved it. This wasn’t my happy go lucky

Theo, this was the monster he kept at bay and hidden from me.

Theo walked towards me, pulling Tom with him by one arm as he approached. I flinched not liking

his red-hot anger directed at me. He stopped realising he was indeed scaring me. I could feel my heart

rate thumping loudly in my chest. Hear it my ears, my entire head pounding to the same beat as a

migraine was starting form.

“Mum will pitch a fit if we kill him. Think Theo, we don’t have to do this.” I watched him think for a Content (C) Nôv/elDra/ma.Org.

second practically see the wheels turning in his head as he thought long and hard about what it was,

he wanted to do. I knew he wanted to kill Tom. I could feel the rage that consumed him, I feared it.

What if he lost his temper like that with me? Would he kill me too?
