Chapter 329
Chapter 329:noveldrama
Ace feels worse. He’s snarling, pacing, snapping at the edges of my mind like a caged animal. He’s relentless, clawing and howling, demanding to go after her. But there’s nothing I can do. No trail to follow. No connection to reach for.
After hours—hours—of trying to call her using my phone, Kade’s phone, hell, even random burner phones, she finally switched hers off. No voicemail. No way to reach her. The mindlink is like a door slammed in my face, her presence gone on the other side, leaving nothing but cold, empty silence.
She’s shut me out completely.
The house is still a wreck from the fight with Aiden. Broken furniture, shattered glass, bloodstains dried into the wood. I haven’t touched it. Can’t bring myself to. The chaos feels like a perfect reflection of what’s inside me right now.
Speaking of Aiden, he’s exactly where he belongs—rotting in the dungeon, chained up like the fucking traitor he is.
He’s lucky. Lucky I didn’t slit his throat right then and there. Lucky I didn’t rip his heart out and mount it on the wall as a warning to anyone else stupid enough to cross me.
Don’t judge me, he’s my brother, that I know. But he ruined me. I spent years of my life in guilt, had panic attacks with the thought that he was dead. Meanwhile, he was alive and planning a comeback. And don’t tell me he came alone. I’m expecting a…
War, another traitor within the pack… I can’t think straight. All thoughts lead to her. Jasmine. Jasmine. Jasmine.
But none of it matters. The pack. Aiden. The house. It’s all meaningless.
The only thing that ever mattered is gone.
Jasmine.
The absence of her is unbearable. Her scent no longer lingers on my skin, and the emptiness left in its wake is suffocating. I can’t eat, can’t sleep. Hell, I can barely think straight.

I should be focusing on cleaning up the mess, dealing with Aiden, figuring out how to stabilize the pack before everything falls apart. But instead, I find myself heading toward the dungeon. To Isabelle.
When I step inside, the air is filled with dampness and despair, but Isabelle is lounging against the wall like she’s fucking royalty. Her smirk is infuriating, her eyes glittering with malice as she takes me in.
“I heard,” she says, her voice dripping with mock sympathy. “Jasmine left you, didn’t she?” Her eyes—those eyes—haven’t changed. No empathy. No remorse. Just hatred and revenge.
Her words hit like a slap, but I refuse to give her the satisfaction of seeing me react. My jaw tightens as I stare her down, every muscle in my body coiled with barely restrained fury.
“I told you, Ryder,” she continues, leaning forward slightly, her tone sharpening. “I told you you’d feel what I felt. Now you know, don’t you? Now you know how it feels to lose everything.”
My fists clench at my sides, the urge to snap her neck barely held in check. I didn’t come here to fight her. I came here for answers—to figure out how the hell she knew Alden was alive, why she didn’t say anything.
But the way she’s grinning at me, like she’s won some kind of sick, twisted game? It’s too much.
“You don’t know a damn thing,” I growl, turning on my heel and storming out of the cell before I lose what little self-control I have left.
