She's the Campus Prince

Chapter 654

Bradley pulled up to Noble Vista right on time at 8 PM.

The property staff had already been waiting for him.

Soon, Bradley had a brief discussion with them about the compensation.

After that, he headed over to the villa the property staff had pointed out alone.

However, Bradley had never seen this villa before, and he honestly had no memory of ever buying it.

He walked up to the gate.

Just like the man had described, it was already broken.

But the keypad lock was still perfectly intact.

Bradley hesitantly pressed his thumb to the pad. There was a click, and the lock popped open right away.

Bradley was speechless.

He couldn't believe it; his fingerprint actually unlocked the door.

'So it really is mine,' he mused to himself. 'Guess I've got so many properties under my name that I just lost track of this one."

Bradley walked into the villa.

Because of the burst pipes, water was everywhere, and the floor was a total

mess.

Luckily, the property staff had fixed things quickly, so there wasn't too much damage.

Bradley looked around the place.

When he got to the storage room, he stopped in his tracks.

He spotted a mountain bike inside.

But the bike was meticulously wrapped up, as if it was some kind of treasure.noveldrama

'Wait, is that my bike?' he thought, a bit confused. 'When did I even buy this?' Bradley stepped inside and tore off the wrapping.

Then, he took a closer look.

This brand of bike would cost a fortune.

At the front of the bike, Bradley spotted something engraved-his initials, B.S.

"Did someone give this to me?' he wondered, puzzled.

Who would give him such an expensive bike?

And why couldn't he remember at all?

Just like with this villa, Bradley had absolutely no recollection of where this mountain bike came from.

"Probably a friend gave it to me back in high school,' he guessed to himself.

It had been so many years; no wonder his memory had gotten hazy.

Bradley didn't stick around the villa for too long.

The place hadn't been lived in for years; there was absolutely no way anyone could stay there now.

It was late, and there was no way he was going to drive two hours back to Steerfall at this hour.

So, he found a five-star hotel and booked a room.

Cameron had left the island that morning.

She knew what Jacqueline meant-she wanted her to get out there, maybe meet someone special.

But Cameron went directly to a hotel and booked a room.

She'd already sold her place at Noble Vista.

The house outside the university was way too far from downtown, so Cameron

picked a hotel in the city center instead,

She actually enjoyed the hustle and bustle.

Cameron had holed up in her hotel room all day, even ordering room service for both lunch and dinner.

Then, she figured it was time to head downstairs for a stroll.

Just as she stepped out of the elevator, Cameron spotted Bradley, who had just finished checking in and was making his way toward the elevator area.

The two of them came face to face.

The instant Cameron saw Bradley, she froze on the spot.

Bradley?

'Am I seeing things?' she wondered, doubting her own eyes.

But when she took a closer look, she realized it was indeed Bradley.

He was dressed in a sharply tailored suit with a subtle pattern, gold-rimmed

glasses perched on his nose. He looked calm and reserved, carrying himself with the quiet confidence of someone who'd made it.

Seven years had gone by.

Now, Bradley seemed so much more composed.

"Excuse me," Bradley said, his voice calm and polite.

Cameron was standing right in the riddle of the hallway.

Bradley shot her a quick look, then started to walk around her toward the elevator.

Cameron stood still, not moving an inch.

The next second, Bradley suddenly turned around.

He walked back, fixing his gaze on Cameron.

As he passed by her just now, his heart suddenly thudded hard for no reason.

Bradley turned around and looked straight at Cameron.

He didn't recognize her at all, yet for some reason, she seemed strangely familiar.

"Miss, have we met somewhere before?" Bradley was the first to speak.

Cameron was stunned.

'What does he mean?' she wondered, completely baffled. 'It's been seven years. What trick is he playing now?"

Bradley quietly stared at the woman in front of him.

She was stunning-tall, with short hair that fell casually to her shoulders.

A long, light brown trench coat accentuated her figure.

With her height, the coat looked absolutely amazing on her.

While standing, her hands were casually tucked into her pockets.

She was exactly the kind of girl people on the internet called gorgeous and badass.

Bradley looked at Cameron, and he really did feel like he'd seen her somewhere before.

Cameron stayed silent and even shot him a disdainful look.

Bradley hurriedly explained, "Miss, I'm seriously not trying to flirt or anything. I just

really feel like we've met before

"Cameron Yates! Oh my god, it really is you! Can I get your autograph?" a girl suddenly recognized Cameron, her voice full of excitement.

Cameron shook her head. "Sorry, you've got the wrong person."

1

She wasn't a celebrity, so there was no reason for her to sign anything.

"Oh... Okay," the girl mumbled, looking disappointed as she walked away.

Only then did Bradley realize who she was.

He must've seen Cameron on TV last night.

Thinking of this, Bradley offered a polite apology. "I'm sorry."

With that, he didn't stick around and headed straight into the elevator.

Cameron turned around, watching the elevator doors slowly close.

"What is Bradley up to now?" she thought, frowning in confusion.

Seven years ago, after she rejected him, he'd gone so far as to lock her away in that castle.

And now, he was acting like he didn't even recognize her.

Cameron couldn't help but sneer.

Later, she took a stroll around the hotel.

But out of nowhere, she just lost all interest in exploring.

So, Cameron headed straight back to her room.

Running into Cameron was just a random encounter for Bradley. Aside from that

inexplicable jolt in his chest, he didn't dwell on it at all.

Right now, all his attention was locked on work.

Before going to sleep, he pulled out his laptop and started reviewing the files for

tomorrow afternoon's court case.

There was a sudden sizzle, and the lights in the room went out all at once.

Bradley frowned, closed his laptop, and was about to call the front desk to see what was up.

Suddenly, the fire alarm blared to life, shrill and urgent.

Bradley sprang into action.

He packed up his laptop in a flash, grabbed his suit jacket and pulled it on, snatched up his phone, then rushed into the bathroom to soak a towel and press

it over his mouth. Without a moment's hesitation, he dashed out of the room.

The alarms outside were blaring, piercing everyone's ears.

The guests, thrown into a panic by the sudden fire alarm, rushed for the exits in a

frenzy.

"Don't use the elevator! You can't take the elevator during a fire!" someone shouted.

All at once, everyone started heading for the stairwell.

Bradley kept his cool; he wasn't freaking out like everyone else, but he didn't

waste a second getting out of there.

"Hello? Is anyone out there? Can anyone hear me?"

As he passed by the elevator, Bradley suddenly heard someone calling for help

from inside.

He couldn't help but frown.

Apparently, someone was trapped in the elevator.

But because of the fire, the elevator had already stopped working.

Without hesitating, Bradley set his things down and called out, "Is anyone in

there? Don't move. Just wait for me, okay?"

He braced himself and forced the elevator doors open with all his strength. "Get out of there!" Bradley called out before he even saw who was inside.

Cameron didn't expect to see Bradley.

She just stood there, frozen.

"Quick, get out." Seeing her frozen in place, Bradley didn't hesitate. He went in and yanked her out of the elevator.

Once they were out, Bradley let go of her. Only then did he realize it was Cameron he'd just pulled out. "Miss Yates, there's a fire. We need to take the stairs. Be careful," he said.

With that, he bent down to pick up his things. But then, he noticed that Cameron

hadn't brought anything with her.

Bradley handed her the wet towel. "If you don't mind, use this to cover your

mouth. IIII help keep the smoke out.
