Chapter 650
"Hello, is this Nathan Saunders, Bradley Saunders' father?" Elijah finally got through to Nathan and asked politely, trying to keep his excitement in check. "Yes, who's this?" Nathan asked.
Elijah said, "Mr. Saunders, I'll get straight to the point. My friend, Cameron Wallace, is likely being held captive by your son Bradley, I need your help.
"Held captive?" Nathan found it absurd.
Bradley had always been law-abiding and treated people kindly. How could he possibly do something like that?
Elijah said, “Yes, Mr. Saunders. I don't need you to do anything else. Just help me by calling Bradley and asking him where he is."
Nathan replied, "If what you say is true and Brad really has someone locked up, do you think he'd actually tell me?"
Elijah fell silent.
Nathan was right. Bradley would never admit it.
And now, Elijah felt he had wasted the whole night for nothing.
He got all flustered just because he cared too much.
Even someone as smart as him could make such a rookie mistake.
Elijah sighed and said, "I'm sorry to have bothered you, Mr. Saunders."
With that, he hurriedly hung up.
Apparently, the Saunders family couldn't provide any help.
For now, Elijah could only rely on himself.
He decided to check every property registered under Bradley's name.
Because he remembered Bradley had said Cameron was at "his place," so she
had to be in one of his own houses.

groggy.
Bradley was already nineteen. He was an adult now.
Therefore, Nathan trusted that he could take care of himself.
As for Bradley's questionable sexual orientation, that was something he'd have to think about for the long haul.
Elijah stayed awake the entire night, unable to get a moment's rest.
The black Rolls-Royce sat parked outside Silvermoss Castle as the sky began to pale with the first light of dawn.
In his hand was a thick stack of documents.
Bradley had over a dozen properties in Steerfall.
It was only last night that Elijah discovered the property at Noble Vista, the one that belonged to Cameron, had actually been transferred to her by Bradley.
Silvermoss Castle was the last property on his list to check.
If Cameron wasn't here either, Elijah would be completely out of leads.
"Mr. Moore..." Jack was just about to speak.
Elijah held up a hand, stopping him.
"Jack, let's park the car farther away so thou

The Rolls-Royce stayed outside Silvermoss Castle for less than a minute before driving off.
At this hour, everyone in the castle was still fast asleep
The system detected something unusual and triggered an alert, but not a soul heard it.
Elijah instructed Jack to park the car outside the castle's surveillance range.
Even so, he could still see what was going on inside.
Jack turned around. "Sir, why don't you get some rest?"
Elijah shook his head. "I'm not tired."
Jack fell silent again.
'How could he not be tired after staying up all night? He looks completely worn out,' he wondered.
'Looks like Mr. Wallace truly means a lot to Mr. Moore.'
Thinking of this, Jack didn't say anything more.
But Elijah spoke up, "Jack, you haven't slept all night either. You're
"ot in your twenties anymore. Get some rest."
Jack was touched by his concern. "Thank you, sir.”
'He may look cold, but he's got a warm heart,' Jack thought. 'Such a decent

Finally, the castle gradually woke up.
Elijah couldn't help but clench his fists tightly.
'Could Cameron really be in there?' he wondered his heart pounding.
Inside the castle, Cameron was already up.
young man, but he's struggling to win over a girl.'
The castle sat atop a hill, surrounded by countless trees. It was a cold winter
morning. Even without any fog today, the chill still hung in the air.noveldrama
After washing up, Cameron made her way straight to the dining room.
The butler greeted her with a smile. "Ms. Wallace, Mr. Saunders hasn't come
down yet. Could you please wait a moment?"
Cameron's face darkened. "Did Bradley tell you to starve
me?"
The butler was at a loss for words.
He quickly said, "Ms. Wallace, please wait

Cameron sat there in silence, not saying a word.
She was only halfway through breakfast when Bradley finally strolled in.
He showed up in casual wear, gold-rimmed glasses per on his nose, that familiar
gentle smile still playing at the corners of his lips.
For a moment, he seemed exactly like his usual gentle self.
Cameron shot him a cool, indifferent look.
She was painfully aware that the man in front of her now was nothing like the Bradley she used to know.
Cameron downed the rest of her milk, set the glass aside, and took a tissue to wipe her mouth.
"Good morning, Cam. Did you sleep well last night?" Bradley said, taking a seat across from her.
But just as he sat down, Cameron stood up.
"Are you done eating?" Bradley asked with a smile.
Cameron shot back coldly, "Just seeing you is enough to make me lose my appetite."
Bradley was speechless.
The butler was shocked by her words.
He stood there awkwardly, not sure whether to leave or stay.
Meanwhile, Cameron had already walked out of the dining room.
The smile on Bradley's face faded away completely.
All of a sudden, he didn't want to eat anymore.
The next moment, he also stood up and left.
After leaving the dining room, Cameron walked out of the living room and headed
outside, planning to take a stroll around the courtyard.
In truth, she was scoping out the grounds, trying to get a feel for the terrain.
Last night, it had been too dark to see anything clearly.
Cameron had lived here for quite a long time. But out of her trust for Bradley,
she'd never figured out the layout of this place.
Now, she needed to see if there were any weak spots that could help her get out
of here.
There was no way Cameron would ever accept being locked up by Bradley.
The moment Cameron stepped into the courtyard, Elijah spotted her.
"Cameron!"
Elijah couldn't help but shout her name, his heart pounding with excitement.
Jack was getting on in years, and he had already nodded off in the driver's seat.
Even with Elijah shouting, he still didn't wake up.
Elijah finally laid eyes on Cameron.
Seeing that she was perfectly fine, even walking around freely, he finally let out
the breath he'd been holding all night.
Just as Elijah was about to get out of the car, he saw Bradley coming over.
His hand froze on the door handle.
'So it really is Bradley, Elijah thought. Just as I expected.'
He was the one who locked Cameron up.
Elijah's first instinct was to call the police.
He had no idea what exactly Bradley had done to Cameron, or what he might be
planning to do next.
So, the most reliable way was to call the police.
Elijah immediately pulled out his phone.
However, there was no signal at all.
Bradley must have jammed the signal himself.
Now, he was probably the only one in this castle who could reach the outside
world.
Elijah frowned.
Seeing Cameron and Bradley together from afar, Elijah felt even more convinced-
he had to call the cops, no matter what.
He slipped out of the car as quietly as he could, careful not

a sound.
Then, he made his way up the winding mountain road, and after walking for about
half an hour, he finally got a signal.
Without hesitation, Elijah called the police.
Then, he hurried back to Silvermoss Castle.
But when he arrived, Cameron and Bradley were already gone.
Elijah instantly grew anxious, his heart pounding.
"Did something happen to Cameron?' he thought, pánic rising inside him.
Standing at the entrance, Elijah yelled, "Cameron!/Are you in there? Cameron!"

After leaving the dining room, Cameron was about to take a stroll when, to her surprise, Bradley followed her out.
Cameron frowned at him. "What do you want?"
Smiling gently, Bradley said, "Cam, I just wanted to join you for a walk. Sorry I
slept in and couldn't have breakfast with you today. I promise I'll get up
earlier tomorrow."
Cameron didn't bother to be polite. "I don't need your company"
Bradley smiled at her faintly. "Cam, you're being too harsh, don't you think?"
Cameron shot back. "Are you serious, Bradley? You locked me up against my will,
and you still expect me to be nice to you? Don't be ridiculous."
Bradley's face darkened, his expression tightening.
Cameron shot him a glare..
She really wanted to go back to her room, but she held herself back.
Even with Bradley following her, Cameron still walked around the entire castle.
The more she observed the entire layout, the more her b
The castle's walls were about 10 feet high.
Even so, they wouldn't be enough to keep Cameron in.
But the top was crisscrossed with a web of electric wires.
That was a real headache.
To shut it down, she'd have to find the castle's main power switch.
Cameron remained solemn. Once she had a plan, she turned and headed back to
her room.
"Cameron! Are you in there? Cameron!"
Suddenly, she heard someone calling out to her.
"Elijah!" Cameron instantly recognized Elijah's voice. Cameron dashed straight for the courtyard, and just as she expected, she immediately caught sight of Elijah standing outside the main gate.
Her eyes narrowed in alarm, and she yelled, "Elijah, get back! The gate's
electrified. Move away, now!"
Elijah was shocked.
At her warning, he instinctively stepped back.
Only then did Cameron finally breathe a sigh of relief.
Bradley didn't miss a single change in Cameron's expression.
Just a moment ago, no matter what he said, Cameron either talked back harshly
or just ignored him.
But now, she was actually worried about Elijah.
'How dare she care about him!' Bradley fumed inwardly.
His face instantly darkened.
"Cam, I really don't like seeing you get all worked up over another man," Bradley
said, still wearing that sante gentle smile.
But Cameron ignored him completely.
She headed straight for the gate. "Elijah, why are you here?"
Elijah answered honestly, "I messaged you last night, but you didn't reply. I was worried about you. Cameron, are you alright?"
"Elijah, seriously? What kind of question is that? Cam's fine," Bradley cut in before
she could answer.
Cameron shot him a frosty glare and said, “Elijah, Bradley is no longer the man
we know. You need to get out of here, now."
Elijah refused to leave. "I know, Cameron. That's
minute."

I was freaking out trying to find you. Don't worry, I already called the cops. They'll

"You called the police?" Cameron couldn't help but smile.
'Finally, I'm getting out of here soon,' she thought to herself.
"Yeah, don't worry. Everything's gonna be fine," Elijah said, giving a firm,
reassuring nod.
At those words, Bradley's eyes grew cold for a moment, but then the corners of
his lips curled up in an almost imperceptible smile.
"You called the cops? Elijah, what are you up to?" he asked.
Elijah shot back, "Bradley, drop the act. You're keeping Cameron here against her
will. That's illegal, and you're going to have to answer for it."
Bradley let out a cold, mocking laugh.
He strolled over to the gate. "Elijah, care to come in and join us?"
As he spoke, Bradley reached out and pulled open the gilded gate.
The gate swung open, and Bradley stood there, not a scratch on him.
Cameron was stunned.
"What the hell is going on?' she wondered. 'Wasn't the gate supposed to be electrified?'
Elijah glanced at Cameron, just as lost as she was.
Bradley pushed up his gold-rimmed glasses, his tone casual. "Elija"you coming
in?"
Without missing a beat, Elijah strode forward, seized Cameron by the wrist, and
pulled her straight out of the gate.
Then, he immediately stepped in front of her, shielding her from Bradley.
Elijah shot Bradley a look: "Bradley, if you really like Cameron, then let's play fair.
Stop playing your dirty tricks. You're better than this."
"Fair? Huh..." Bradley sneered.
His eyes lingered on Elijah's hand-the one that had just pulled Cameron away.
“Elijah, let's just get out of here," Cameron said, her voice calm. "Cameron, we can't leave now! The police are almost here. We have to make
sure Bradley pays for this!" Elijah protested, anger flashing in his eyes.
"No, let's go," Cameron insisted, shaking her head firmly.
'What price could he possibly pay?' she thought with a sigh.
Cameron wasn't injured; there wasn't even a scratch on her.
Besides, Bradley had never mistreated her, giving her everything she needed.
Now, even the electric current on the gate had mysteriously vanished. They had no evidence at all.
For all they knew, the cops might just think it was some kind of love triangle and
write it off as just some messy relationship drama between three people.
Elijah glanced at Bradley, then back at Cameron.
Even though he had no idea what was going through Cameron's mind, he still
chose to do as she said.
"My car's over there. Come on," Elijah said..
Cameron and Elijah were just about to leave when Bradley called out from behind
them.
"Cameron, remember: if I can't have you, nobody else could. Otherwise, you'll
both regret it," he said, his voice icy and full of threat.
Cameron paused and looked back.
Bradley was standing there, his glasses off.
"Cameron, he's getting way too cocky. We shouldn't leave. Let's wait for the police
and let them teach him a lesson,” Elijah said, frustration clear in his voice.
Cameron finally tore her gaze away from Bradley.
But then, she insisted, "Let's go."
In the end, Elijah went with what Cameron wanted.
The two of them got back into the Rolls-Royce.
"Cameron, are you really alright?” Elijah asked, feeling concerned.
Cameron shook her head. "Elijah, don't worry. Bradley just kept me from leaving,
that's all. I'm fine."
Elijah said, "Bradley's really gone too far this time."
Cameron didn't respond.
She was done talking about Bradley.
She had decided to pay him back as soon as she could.
After that, they would be even, and there would be no more ties between them.
Jack, who had been dozing off in the driver's seat, finally woke up at the noise.
He turned around and saw Cameron, his eyes widening in surprise. "Since when has Mr. Wallace's hair become so long?' Jack wondered. 'He really does look like a girl.
"Mr. Wallace, are you alright?" Jack asked, concern in his voice.
Cameron smiled and said, “Jack, I think you might want to start calling me
something else."
Jack blinked in confusion. "Huh?".
Cameron said, "I'm a girl."
Jack was utterly shocked by the truth.
It wasn't until they drove into the city that Jack finally wrapped his head around
the fact that Cameron was actually a girl.
"Ms. Wallace, where to?" he asked.
Cameron told him the location of Yates Manor's helipad.
Right now, all she wanted was to go home.
Her car was still stuck at Silvermoss Castle.
Since going back was no longer an option, Cameron planned to hire a tow
company to do the job.
Elijah said, "Cameron, just go home, get some rest, and try

for everything today."
If it hadn't been for Elijah, Cameron would never have gotten out of there this fast.
Elijah smiled, “Really, it's nothing. Anyone would have done the same."
"Mr. Moore, you spent the whole night searching for Ms. Wallace. We went
through every single property under Bradley's name, and you haven't slept for
almost 30 hours," Jack finally blurted out.
What do you think?
