Chapter 3758 Violating The Prohibition
Nathan furrowed his brows. "Hodges!"
Hepburn continued, "Yes. This guy comes from a prestigious family of God Paladins and is now the head of his family. He once served as Imperial City's sheriff, earning the deep trust of Medille. After we took over Divine Realm, we stripped this guy of his position. However, his former subordinates have been in frequent contact with him privately. As far as I know, he intends to use the Four Emperors' current visit to conspire with them. He wants to collaborate from within and without to overthrow your rule, Your Majesty." Nathan said slowly, "It seems that being overly lenient with the God Paladins is not the way to go. If I don't set a few examples, these guys will plot rebellion day and night!"
"Your Majesty, to prevent Hodges and his ilk from conspiring with the Four Emperors, I propose we act swiftly and apprehend them first," said Hepburn.
Nathan nodded. "As the representative of the local aristocrat and Moblan's prized disciple, Hodges' status among the Gods is extraordinary. To take him down, we must act swiftly without causing too much commotion. Here's the plan. You prepare a troop. Later, I will personally lead them to capture him."
"Is there a need for you to personally take action, Your Majesty?" asked Hepburn.
Nathan explained, "By personally taking action, I can strike a blow and intimidate the likes of Moblan to make that old fellow behave himself."
"Very well," Hepburn said.
Nathan suddenly instructed, "Let Max's team handle the operation. I find him quite efficient."
Hepburn was somewhat puzzled as to why Nathan specifically requested to use Max's team for this operation. However, she did not question further, simply responding. "Very well. I'll notify Max to make preparations right away."
After Hepburn left, Nathan stood up and gazed at the overcast sky outside the window, his expression thoughtful.
In the command center of the main camp of the Blood March Army, the top army of the vampires, Max was sitting upright in his chair, puffing on a cigar, his expression indifferent.
Before him, a male God was on his knees, pleading for mercy.
"Esteemed Mr. Max, I've told you everything I know. I've given you the list of people closely associated with Hodges. Please, I beg you to spare my life!"
Around them, a dozen or so of Max's capable subordinates were glaring murderously at the trembling male God before them.
Max slowly rose from his chair and approached the pleading male God. Sneering, he said, "I told you before that if you were willing to cooperate with me, honestly provide evidence and a list of those involved in Hodges' rebellion scheme, I would consider sparing you."
Upon hearing these words, the male
God's face lit up. He was just about to express his gratitude when Max continued, "But at that time, all I said was that I'd consider it. I never promised to let you off the hook!"

The male God shuddered in fear, looking at Max with shock and anger. "But I've been so cooperative with you. I've already betrayed General Hodges and so many Gods..."
Max sneered. "So what? Haven't I already given you two extra days to live?"
His words made the male God tremble with rage. "Max, you b*stard. You've gone back on your words. Even in death, I won't let you off..."
Max removed the cigar from his
mouth and exhaled a puff of smoke onto the face of the male God, chuckling lightly. "Who cares? Someone slit his throat and let the
blood flow. The blood of Gods is far
more delectable than that of
humans. Let's have a drink."
The male God's face turned deathly pale, and he suddenly began to struggle fiercely, cursing vehemently.
However, those before him were all super-powerful elites of the vampires. As an ordinary God Warrior, he was utterly powerless to fight back.
Soon, a bearded subordinate of Max slit the throat of the male God with a dagger.
He was about to catch the blue blood with an exquisite wine decanter when, all of a sudden, a vampire warrior barged in.
Seeing his subordinate barging in without announcement, Max was ready to lose his cool.
However, his subordinate had already said hurriedly, "Bad news, Mr. Max. Queen Hepburn is here."
Max was taken aback upon hearing that.
He quickly signaled his subordinates
to put away the blood collection vessels, for Nathan had long issued a prohibition to the vampires that they could only consume blood bags provided by hospitals on Earth. Otherwise, they just had to endure.
They were prohibited from killing humans, Gods, or any other alien clans and consuming fresh blood.
If Hepburn discovered that they were secretly killing Gods and drinking their fresh blood, she and Nathan would undoubtedly hold them accountable.
