Richest Mogul

Chapter 1675

The living room, once filled with photos of Wendy and the plush toys and figurines she had collected over the years, now stood barren. It was as if Wendy had vanished without a trace. Aiken's gaze fell on a sticky note left on the table. The words were brief but piercing.

"I've already left. Thank you for everything over these years-both the good and the bad. I'm giving you your true freedom. We should never meet again. I wish you happiness. Wendy." Aiken froze, his body stiffening as the note slipped from his hand. It took him a moment to come back to his senses. He immediately called Simona.

"Has Wendy contacted you recently? Do you know where she is?"

Simona's voice was filled with confusion. "Wasn't she busy with a project? She was working overtime and didn't have time to meet me when I contacted her half a month ago. Wait are you saying you two fought, and now she's left?

"No, that doesn't sound like Wendy. If she were upset, she'd just need some space-not cut off all contact. Let me try calling her. By the way, Aiken, you've been with Wendy for years. Have you thought about marrying her? You've been kind of cold toward her lately. Are you sure you still have feelings for her?"

Aiken didn't respond, and Simona didn't wait for an answer. She knew she couldn't change Aiken's mind when it came to marriage.

But she couldn't shake the thought that Wendy had been too naïve. After so many years, Wendy had stayed devoted to Aiken.

As Simona tried calling Wendy, her unease grew. Her calls went unanswered, her messages unread. Wendy wasn't the type to disappear like this-not without a word, not even to her closest friends.

Realization struck Simona like a cold wave. She hadn't spoken to Wendy in over ten days. She quickly called Aiken back. "Aiken, I can't reach her either. What happened? Why did she leave without telling anyone?"

Left with no family to comfort her, Wendy was on her own. Simona hoped her sadness hadn't driven her to make a reckless decision.

Aiken's face turned pale, and his body stiffened. "We didn't argue."

"Didn't argue? Then why can't you find her?" Simona was perplexed. She didn't know what was happening.

Aiken answered, "We haven't seen each other in half a month. I came to her place today, and most of her things are gone. She moved out."

"What? Moved out? Where could she go? She didn't own a house in Jipsburg-she always lived there. Didn't you give her this place?

"What happened between you two?noveldrama

Why did she leave without a word? Did you do something to hurt her? You haven't been in touch for half a month... Half a month... No O wonder..."

As Simona spoke, something suddenly clicked in her mind.

Half a month ago, Wendy had called her early one morning. They didn't talk much, as Simona had been up all night and was exhausted. She had been somewhat dismissive, promising to meet up with Wendy soon. .

Wendy's words from that day now echoed in her mind. Wendy had told her to take care of herself, avoid staying up late, eat proper meals, and stop ordering so much takeout. "No wonder what?" Aiken exhaled a cloud of smoke, his face hard and filled with irritation.

Simona spoke urgently, "Aiken, you need to call her company. Don't you know her boss? Ask if she's been showing up for work."

Wendy's tone back then had felt final. A sense of dread settled in Simona's chest. She prayed her fears were unfounded.

Minutes later, Aiken responded. "She quit her job over 20 days ago. She's not in Jipsburg anymore. She left for Fachington half a month ago." "What?"

"She left me a note. She broke up with me," Aiken said. He could now fully confirm that Wendy no longer wanted him.

Simona was in shock. "What did you

do to her, Aiken? Wendy was so devoted to you! And now she's left everything behind-even moved abroad! tried every way to reach her, but all her accounts, including her Instagram and Facebook, were gone. It's like she dont us to find her."
