"Very well. If you can help me solve my problem, you'll not only make a lot of money... Your prison sentence will be shortened too. We can discuss the details in private later," I told Madison.

Once I was done speaking, I turned and left the room without sparing Madison another glance. Madison's pleas and the guards' whispers combined made quite a ruckus. I ignored all of them and headed outside.

Things were going according to plan. Madison was a pawn that I would make good use of. She was the only one who could help me go up against Murphy so that I could save Zach.

When I got back in my car, I plucked out my phone and called Kevin. He answered my call after a while. "Hello? Evelyn, are you okay? Where did you go? You gave us quite a fright!" he said. I could hear the panic and worry in his voice.

"I'm fine. I just went to the prison."

"The prison?" Kevin gasped. "What were you doing there? Don't tell me that you—"

"You guessed it. I went to look for Madison." I interrupted him calmly. Then, I added. "Kevin, I need your help with something. I want her released on parole as soon as possible."

"What?" Kevin exclaimed. He was probably on the verge of jumping at how ridiculous I sounded. "Have you lost your mind? Isn't Madison your enemy? Aren't you afraid that she'll take revenge on you when she gets released?"

I laughed coldly at his questions. "Madison? Taking revenge on me? She'd get on her knees to beg for forgiveness. Don't worry, because as long as I'm alive, she won't be able to cause trouble anymore."

Kevin fell quiet for quite a while before letting out a helpless sigh and saying, "Okay. I got it. Worry not. I'll handle the matter regarding the parole. She'll be out on parole in two days.

"Thanks, Kevin," I said, grateful. "Oh right. Help me find out where Murphy has gone. I want to know his whereabouts. The more information I can get, the better."

"Murphy? Is he related to this parole matter?" Kevin asked, now alert.

"Yes. I want Madison on parole because she can help me deal with him," I explained. "I want to tear that pretentious mask off his face! And I want him to experience the pain of being trampled and stepped on!"

Kevin went silent for quite some

time before he responded with etnoveldrama

helpless chuckle. He said, "I get it. You don't have to worry about that. I'll get to the bottom of it."

I hung up after that and sighed in relief. Kevin and Lianne were the best partners I could ever ask for.

all-nighters to look into all the details of Madison's case. My efforts finally paid off, and Madison was given parole. She came to me right after she was released as if she couldn't wait to see me.

Madison gingerly took her seat, her eyes flashing with anxiety. After a while, she slowly and timidly asked, "Ms. Wiley, what do you need help with?"

I stared at her and, in a cold emotionless voice, told her, "I want you to help me get rid of someone."

"Who is it?" Madison's eyes widened at my request.

"Just do as you're told," I spat.

Madison's eyes widened even more.

I could see the shock in her eyes She said, "You mean Murphy Albright? But he's the head of the

Albright family! Ms. Wiley, you can't possibly ask me to-"

"What's wrong?" I snapped. "Are you not willing to do that for me?"

With a sardonic laugh, I said, "May I remind you that you would've rotted in prison if it weren't for me. Are

you going to chicken out now that I've stated my request?"

Madison broke out in a cold sweat. Her forehead glistened with perspiration as she waved her hands hastily and stammered, "N-No. That's not it, Ms. Wiley."
