Rejecting The Alpha Twins (Regan)

My Twins Baby 50

Xavier POV

"Hang these fairy lights across those trees" Linstructed the omega in a low voice, craning my head to look up at it, before turning to walk over to another omega and slamming into something in my path. Or rather someone.

"Isabelle" my voice is cool as I stand there and regard her silently Xander seemingly coming from nowhere to stand beside me as we both wonder what on earth she is doing out here with the rest of the pack. "What are you doing so close to the pack house?" I ask, trying to keep my voice even.

She blinks before a small smile spreads across her face "I thought that I would come and see what the decorations were about. After all" she bites her lip, her cheeks turning a rosy pink, Today is my birthday after all" she reminds us softly "and you always used to celebrate it with me before."

I had forgotten all about it being Isabelle's birthday in my attempts to get Regan's celebrated for once. I glanced at Xander and saw the same realization on his face. Neither of us had spared Isabelle much thought since banishing her from the pack. house, other than this nonsense she was stirring up now with the elders. I blink, shocked that she would have the audacity to think that we would celebrate her birthday with her when we had a mate now who was our fated and who we had made it obvious we wanted.

"Is it?" my voice is frosty "I'm afraid that we've been busy trying to get everything set up for Regan's birthday tomorrow."

Even with the elders coming we wanted to celebrate our mate's birthday with her, ignoring her objections as she continually protested against the idea. For one, we wanted her to see that the pack wasn't going to continue its hatred against her. Without Beta Jackson whispering into people's ears, the pack was starting to realize how badly they had been manipulated into abusing and disliking Regan

"What?" Isabelle's smile slips from her face and she looks genuinely stunned by our announcement. "You can't be serious," she says, her voice a stammer.

"Why would we celebrate your birthday?" I tilted my head to look at her, confused. "You mean nothing to us now," I said deliberately.

Did she think that we would still have feelings for her after we had found out what she and her family did to Regan? Was she harboring some kind of false hope that we would change our minds and still take her as a chosen mate? Impossible.

She

flinches. Xander moved forward and stared down at her with open hostility. "I believe we are due a visit from the elders thanks to you and your mother" he continued "and as such, I think that it would be prudent to suggest that you go back to your house." I agree. Neither one of us wants to lay eyes on her. I briefly wonder where Heather is and then decide that I don't care.

"Surely, you can understand why we're doing it" Isabelle whispers, the blood draining out of her face. "We have no choice. You've banished us from the pack. My friends won't speak to me, the pack is avoiding me," she raised her voice and the chosen mates I was meant to have instead turned into cowards and refuse to see me, let alone take my correspondence."

She was either brave or incredibly stupid. I was inclined to believe the latter.

"Watch your tongue" I snarled, "banishment from the pack house means exactly that. We told you that we didn't want you near Regan and we meant it. Telling the elders lies in order to get your own way isn't going to work. Have you forgotten about the Alpha tone? All it takes is that to get you to sing the truth" I leaned in close watching as she licked her trembling lips "And then we will have further reason to punish you even harder than we already have" I warned.

"Why can't you just let us come back?" she pleaded, her body trembling. "Before Regan came along as your mate, you cared for me. I know you both did. She's ruined it. What does Regan have that I don't?" she whimpered, on the verge of tears. "She's our fated mate Isabelle. You cannot even hope to comparer Xander's voice is silky as he eyes her nonchalantly

It's like comparing apples to oranges. Regan will always be the one we love, no matter what, Isabelle cannot persuade us to look elsewhere, no matter how hard she tries. It won't work on us and our loyalty, our love, it's all strictly for our male fur fated mate

Neither of us is buying Isabelle's pathetic act. We can't believe she dared to step foot so close to the pack house after we p her strict instructions to keep away. She looks at the two of us wir sheer rage in her eyes, realizing we're not about to budge or have any sympathy for her or her mother.

you both everything" she shrieked. "Everything and you just turn your back on me. I won't have it the screamed, as Regan came out of the pack house, looking bewildered by all the loud noise.

I saw Regan look at her stepsister horrified while Isabelle began to dig in her pockets, a frantic expression on her face and a wild look in her eyes. Regan stepped closer, even as Xander and moved to stand protectively in front of her. There was something off about Babelle. Something strange. There was a smile on her face that was more threatening than pleasant

"You're so determined to be rid of me she shrieked as we stared at her, pack members stopping in their tracks to watch, hands going to their open mouths in fascination. "Then so be it, I'll make sure you never have to be bothered with my presence ever again" she warned, her voice shaking.

What did she mean by that? Her hand slowly withdrew from her pocket, and I sucked in a breath as I saw the silver-bladed dagger she was holding, She placed it against her wrist and Regan tried to push past us in a rush to get to Isabelle, but Xander and I refused to allow her to put herself in harm's way.

"Isabelle, put the knife down. You're being irrational right now I said calmly, even as Isabelle's mouth curled back and she sneered at me.

"Irrational! You banished my father and turned him rogue. My mother is like a ghost in the damn house" she continued bitterly, her voice rising higher and higher, "And that little bitch she pointed with a wavering hand at Regan who was motionless and looking at Isabelle with a stricken expression, "is in the position I've been dreaming of since I was little. I was always meant to be the Luna of the pack" she screamed at the top of her lungs, sounding hysterical. Not her. She is nothing. A worthless piece of garbage" she continued, before drawing the dagger across her wrist vertically, her eyes glinting madly.

Shit. She really was trying to commit suicide. I heard Regan suck in a breath while I attempted to move closer. Before I could get to her, Isabelle looked me in the eyes and then at Xander, her lips quivesing. "I hope you all go to hell" she whispered and then drew the blade across her other wrist, dropping the knife as blood poured down onto the grass, her knees buckling beneath her, before she dropped to the ground with a heavy thud.

Blood, so much blood. I raced to Isabelle and picked her up, cradling her in my arms. She was unconscious and barely breathing. I could smell her blood, the metallic scent in the air as Xander eyed me and Regan let out a sob, her hands to her mouth, a look of anguish on her face.

"Why" whispered Regan, gazing at her stepsister with pity. "Why

"I'm taking her to the hospital" I yelled, turning on my heels.

As much as we all despised Isabelle now, none of us had predicted that she would go to such desperate lengths. I could see Xander picking up the bloodied knife out of the corner of my eye and see Regan gasping for air as Xander comforted her. I ran, my heart pounding in my chest, Isabelle's limp figure in my arms. She had done a lot of damage, the silver in the knife burning her flesh as it cut, and part of me didn't know if she would survive the damage, she had done to herself. I grined my teeth, not sure whether to feel sorry for the young girl in my arms or whether to be angry that she had once again, gained the attention of the pack and painted herself as a victim. If she lived, the elders would be notified of her suicide attempt and I had a feeling this would cause them to look at Isabelle with more sympathy than she deserved.
