Reckless Marriage Unyielding Love

Chapter 134

Chapter 134

Sweet laughter echoed throughout the Ludwig mansion. Natasha put her hands on Carlos' shoulders as he carried her inside. Even the housekeepers, who were used to such scenes, smiled along with Natasha.

After carrying her into the living room in his arms, Carlos said indifferently, "It's time to get down."

Natasha obediently nodded. "I'll always listen to what you say, Carlos."

Myla, who was in charge of Natasha's care, pushed the wheelchair over, and Carlos carefully placed Natasha in it.

"I'm going upstairs to change my clothes," Carlos said to Mikayla, his expression not looking particularly good.

Mikayla had no idea what had happened that made Carlos need to change his clothes again. After all, he had just changed not long ago.

She watched Carlos' figure as he went upstairs. Before she knew it, Natasha had already wheeled herself in front of her. "Mikayla."

"Yes?" Mikayla responded.

"Mikayla, when Carlos carried you like that in front of everyone yesterday, did you feel very happy?" Natasha's gaze was pure and clear, appearing innocent and kind. In actuality, her question was actually extremely well-phrased.

Nheless, Mikayla wasn't a fool. Natasha always gave off an extremely obedient impression, but her words were always subtly provocative. If one was not careful, they would definitely not be able to see through her intentions. It was at that point that Mikayla realized why Deidre had called Natasha a pretentious woman previously.

Just then, Selena, who had stepped out earlier, heard voices in the living room and returned. When she noticed Natasha's sweat on her face, she quickly grabbed a handkerchief to wipe it away while gently chiding her. "Playing around with your brother again? Carlos rarely comes back, and Mikayla is here too. You can't behave like you did in the past anymore," Selena advised.

Natasha laughed and said, "Mikayla won't mind. Besides, isn't it perfectly normal for my brother to kiss and hug me?"

Selena glanced at Mikayla, who was sitting on the couch, and subtly signaled her daughter to stop saying such things. After all, no matter how close siblings were, discussing such topics in front of Mikayla after Carlos and her marriage was inappropriate.

"A good relationship between brother and sister makes me envious. But, Natasha, you're already in your mid twenties. Perhaps you should avoid being too close to Carlos. Otherwise, I might get jealous." Mikayla spoke calmly. She also deliberately laughed as she spoke. Her words appeared lighthearted, but they hinted at the possibility that she would become jealous.Nôvel(D)rama.Org's content.

Actually, Mikayla shouldn't have said such words in front of the Ludwig family. At the very least, she should have gone along with Natasha's words and graciously said it was fine. However, if Natasha continued to use her feelings for Carlos as a provocation, there was no reason for Mikayla to remain silent.

"Selena, you understand, don't you? After all, Carlos and I are newlyweds, and we're deeply in love," Mikayla said, blushing.

Natasha's expression changed slightly. She hadn't expected Mikayla to be so clever in her retort, even involving Selena in the response. "Mikayla, I'm so sorry! I assumed that even after Carlos got married, our relationship would remain unchanged." Natasha continued to play the innocent and slightly aggrieved sister.

Selena was taken aback by her words. "Natasha doesn't understand the boundaries between men and women in these matters. Mikayla, please don't mind her."

Mikayla was speechless. It seemed that Natasha was determined to play the role of the weak and pitiful.

"What's going on?" Carlos asked, coming downstairs after changing his clothes. He appeared refreshed, indicating that he had taken a shower. "Nothing. Natasha just asked me if I would be envious of your relationship with her." Mikayla smiled.

Carlos strode over to her and asked, "Would you be?"

Mikayla paused for a moment, meeting Carlos' beautiful eyes, and said, "Of course not!"

A smirk appeared on Carlos' face. He sat next to her and whispered in her ear, "I'll teach you a lesson tonight!"

When Mikayla heard that, she bit her

embarrassment. She clenched her fist and punched him playfully. "Carlos behave yourself!" She realized that Carlos was getting more and more indecent.

Selena had sharp perception. When she noticed the newlyweds' flirtation, she signaled the housekeeper to leave before pushing Natasha back to her

room.

Needless to say, Mikayla flushed even more when she realized the reason for their departure. "Carlos! You are..."

Holding her small hand, Carlos raised an eyebrow. "I am what?"

"Shameless!" Mikayla bit her lips because she was embarrassed and angry.

"Alright, Mika. After lunch, I have to go out for a bit. Will you be okay here by yourself?" Carlos released her wrist and held it in his palm.

"Are you going out?" she asked.

"Yes, Elvis wants to meet me," Carlos explained.

"Then go ahead!" Mikayla approved.

After lunch, Carlos said his goodbyes and left.

Mikayla was thinking about how to spend the afternoon at the mansion when Selena invited her game friends over and asked Mikayla to join them It was likely to keep her from getting bored. While playing poker, the two other ladies kept praising Mikayla and expressing their envy about the wedding the day

losing some money.

In the end, Mikayla won some money. She wasn't particularly skilled at poker, but she had played occasionally with her mother, and she was blessed with good hands that day.

"Did you win some money?" Carlos walked into the poker room and saw Mikayla putting money in her bag.

One of the ladies laughed and said, "Your wife had incredible luck today! She beat the three of us!"

"Let's go! We don't want to interrupt the newlyweds' time together," another lady joked, urging the others to leave.

Mikayla cast a glance at Carlos, wondering how he always managed to return at the worst possible time.

The two ladies and Selena exited the room, with Selena warmly inviting them to stay for dinner, but they both declined, claiming they had meals ready at home.

By dinner time, Garrett had returned from the company, and the family enjoyed a pleasant meal together.

After dinner, it was already dark.

Surprisingly, Natasha didn't cling to

Carlos and instead had Myla take her back to her room. Carlos stayed to play chess with Garrett, while Mikayła sat on the couch, enjoying some fruit and watching a TV drama with Selena. Garrett and Selena had a regular routine. At 8:50 p.m., after the last chess game, Garrett and Selena retired to their room.

Carlos walked over to Mikayla and said, "Mrs. Ludwig, shall we go to our room?"
