Reborn From Oblivion

Chapter 932

Morris's fingers were long and graceful, almost like ivory, while Nathalie's hands were fair and perfectlynoveldrama

proportioned. Morris gently rested his hand on Nathalie's palm, like a soft creature finding comfort in its nest.

Nathalie meticulously trimmed each nail and then polished them one by one. The atmosphere was undeniably

cozy, but Nathalie's next words threw Morris into a whirlwind of anxiety.

"Nathan, it's getting late. We should head to the clinic for our check-up."

Morris hesitated for a moment, and Nathalie looked up at him expectantly.

With a hint of reluctance, Morris replied, "Alright."

At the clinic, Nathalie and Morris arrived, and the nurse at the blood test station informed them, "You've had

breakfast, so we can't do the liver and kidney function tests today."

Morris seemed relieved, "Well, Nathalie, maybe we can come back another time."

But Nathalie, ever upbeat, said, "We might not be able to do the blood tests, but let's go ahead with the other

exams."

So, Nathalie guided Morris through a series of tests: a CT scan, MRI, ultrasound, C14 breath test, routine

physical, and an ECG...

During the ECG, Morris was immensely relieved that the clinic had separate sections for men and women,

and he felt a weight lift off his shoulders.

"Sir, do you ever experience any discomfort with your heart?" the doctor asked while conducting the test and

sharing some preliminary results.

"Yes," Morris admitted.

"The results do show some irregularities. Please take this report and consult a doctor soon."

Morris suddenly sat up, "I want to stop the examination. Please don't issue the report."

The doctor looked surprised, "Why is that?"

"My... wife isn't in the best health. I don't want to worry her," Morris explained.

The doctor nodded in understanding, "I see."

Morris continued, "I already know the results. I've paid for the tests, but I just don't want the report issued. I

hope you understand."

The doctor sighed, "We're here to help people, and since you're trying to protect your wife, I understand."

"Thank you," Morris said, his gratitude evident.

After his tests, Morris waited in the lobby for Nathalie to finish.

Half an hour later, Nathalie joined him, her expression a bit tense.

"Nathalie," Morris called softly.

Nathalie shook off her thoughts and

smiled, "Nathan, we'll get the results

in a week. The doctor already

mentioned a few anomalies.

Morris's face turned pale, and he gripped Nathalie's hand, "Nathalie, did your report show any issues?"

Seeing his concern, Nathalie quickly

reassured him, "It's nothing serious.

Just a few nodules. They just need

to be monitored."

"Nodules?" Morris asked, still worried, "Where?"

With a wry smile, Nathalie replied, "Breast."

Morris watched her for a long moment, concern clouding his eyes. "Nathalie, have you been unhappy these

past few years?"

Nathalie laughed softly, "You know,

back when I was with Cameron,

things were pretty tough. But it's

better now, don't worry, it'll

fine."

Morris pressed on, "What did the doctor suggest?"

"To have them removed surgically as soon as possible," Nathalie answered.

Morris's face grew serious, "When will you have it done?"

Nathalie sighed, "I'm swamped right now. I'll take care of it once things calm down."

Morris suddenly became insistent, "Nothing's more important than your health."

Nathalie sighed in resignation, "Just one week, give me a week."

Morris, however, was determined, "I'll arrange for a specialist as soon as possible. Everything else can wait."
