Reborn From Oblivion

Chapter 789

Nathalie explained, "This fabric has a subtle, intricate pattern. At first, I thought its simple elegance would perfectly suit you, Sarah, since your demeanor is as calm and poised as a lily. But after the dress was finished, I decided to add a little personal touch by hand-embroidering the waist. Do you like it?"

Sarah's eyes lingered on the embroidery around her waist, then drifted to her wedding ring. She expressed her surprise, saying, "You managed to capture the design of my wedding ring from just one glance. It's almost an exact replica. Ashley, you're incredible."

Nathalie held her teacup, and if you looked closely, you could see her fingers slightly trembling with nerves.

"Sarah," she smiled softly, "you've probably heard people say that I'm just a girl from the wrong side of the tracks, with no formal education."

"But really, seeing is believing, not just hearing."

Sarah sensed there was more to Nathalie's words and watched her quietly.

"How can I prove this embroidery is your work?"

Nathalie smiled brightly and pulled out a small sewing kit from her bag. The kit was filled with high-quality threads, their rich colors attesting to their quality. Nathalie took out a needle, threaded it, and embroidered a rose with intricate petals right onto the dress, where Sarah's and Scottie's names were stitched.noveldrama

Her skillful and detailed movements left Sarah in awe.

Blushing, Sarah said, "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have doubted you."

Nathalie replied, "Sarah, your loyalty and kindness are commendable. I truly admire your character. If it weren't for my Nathan needing a good lawyer, I wouldn't want to put you in a tough spot."

"However, Sarah, your kindness shouldn't be exploited. I've said my piece, and whatever decision you make, I'll respect it."

Sarah fell into deep thought.

"I'll think about what you've said carefully," she finally conceded.

Nathalie stood and shook her hand in farewell, "It was a pleasure meeting you," she said.

Sarah lifted the gift box, "I absolutely love this gift."

Nathalie knew Sarah would love it. After all, a dress with her personal touch was something many high-society ladies longed for.

"I'm glad you like it," Nathalie smiled.

Just as they were about to part ways, the door flew open with a loud bang.

Paige burst in, brimming with indignation.

"Nathalie, Sarah is my best friend. Don't think you can come between us!" Paige pulled Sarah closer, drawing a clear line between herself and Nathalie.

Nathalie chuckled, "Paige, don't

worry, all want is Scottie. I'm imet

asking Sarah to put in a good word for me. Your friendship is something I respect and wish well."

Paige glared, her eyes filled with anger.

She turned to Sarah, "Sarah, our contract is still unsigned. There are always people waiting to take advantage. Why don't we finalize it today?"

Having just accepted Nathalie's gift, the saying "Don't bite the hand that feeds you" made Sarah hesitant to turn against Nathalie now.

So, she looked conflicted, "There's no rush. Let's talk about it another day."

Paige thought the deal was as good. as done, but Sarah's refusal made her realize things had changed Unable to hide her frustration, she shot Nathalie a venomous glare.

Nathalie met her gaze with a triumphant smile, as if to say: The game is over for you.
