Chapter 850 Jesse has a manic episode after seeing the kidnapped video
Looking at the photos, Nydia was both relieved and heartbroken.
“I said I’d take care of them, otherwise why would I put so much effort into it?” Fernand’s tone was somewhat helpless.
“How do I know what you’re trying to do, when you could have had them yourself, you have to steal other people’s children!” Nydia resented.
“Isn’t it always necessary to teach you guys a lesson? Who made you guys triple flip me off? Oh no, it should be upsetting me and Alex.”
“When did we ever upset you?” Nydia was getting more and more confused about what Fernand meant.
He already knew about the heart swap?
Knew about the hypnosis, too?
Why else would he talk like that?
Fernand didn’t say anything else as he hung up the phone.
After all, he’d done Nydia a favor by taking the call, even though Nydia didn’t know why he’d done her a favor.
She didn’t know what to do with the video now.
Should she show it to Jesse? She knew very well that the content of this video would definitely irritate Jesse.
But if she didn’t show it to Jesse, Fernand would surely do something else, and it would be better for her to let Jesse see it than for Fernand to let Jesse see it directly.
So much so that she looked a little distracted all the way through the meal.
“What’s wrong?” Jesse noticed her abnormality.
“Huh? No, nothing, I’ll talk to you later.” There was definitely something going on with her like this, and she couldn’t hide it, so she had to talk to Jesse alone later.
Molly and Tavish were now very good and obedient, which in turn made Nydia feel a little guilty, knowing that the two children were like this to keep her from being upset, but this would make them is to go to the joy that belongs to them.
So after dinner, she talked to them.
“Molly, Tavish, it’s Mommy and Daddy’s fault that Mommy lost her two brothers, it has nothing to do with you, you don’t have to be so careful.”
Tavish, however, shook his head disapprovingly, “Mommy, you’re not right, we’re a family, of course we have to face it together, we can’t be the only ones who are sad and upset about it, we’re sad about the loss of our brothers too.”
“But mommy doesn’t want you to live heavy lives, you’re little kids, you should be happier.”
“It’s not too late for us to be happy when we find our brothers, Mommy doesn’t have to worry about us.” Tavish had always been very understanding so had his own insistence on the matter.
Nydia looked to Molly, who nodded cooperatively, “Yes it is, mommy don’t worry, we’re mentally healthy, we’ll be fine.”
“And you guys know about mental health?”
“Yes, we need to be healthy both physically and mentally.”
Listening to this human child’s words, Nydia didn’t say anything else.Belonging © NôvelDram/a.Org.
She stayed with them for a while and then went to find Jesse to talk about business.
“Did something happen?” Jesse knew it had to be something more serious to keep Nydia distracted.
“It is something more serious.”
Jesse waited for her to say, but she had to wait a while.
It didn’t take long for Vincent, Frederick, Vergil and a psychiatrist to arrive at the house.
Looking at the lineup, Jesse was more than a little surprised that what exactly was going on that required calling so many people to the house.
“Don’t we need to call Theo over?” Frederick asked casually.
“There’s enough of you guys.” Nydia said.
Vergil, however, inquired of Frederick in a whisper, “What’s wrong with you? Always thinking about Theo lately.”
“Sympathy between masters.” Frederick explained.
“Also, you’re all very good.” Vergil didn’t think about it that much.
“The thing is, I got a video that Fernand sent me.”
Everyone froze, “Fernand actually reached out to you?”
“Yes, I watched the video and called him, he answered and we talked for a while, and here’s a picture of the two kids he sent me.”
Nydia showed them the photo.
In the photo the two kids were sleeping soundly, white and looking good, and their faces were white and red.
“Looks like he’s being taken care of okay.”
“He said he’d take care of the two kids as long as he lived, but there’s no way I can trust what he says, after all, he’s erratic now.”
Everyone nodded, it was the truth, Fernand’s make up was too complex to be trusted indeed.
“Mrs. Pascall, what was the video?”
Nydia glanced at Jesse.
“The video is a clip of Jesse being kidnapped as a child.”
When she finished, Jesse’s face changed and with some incredulity he said, “About my abduction?”
“Yes, that’s why I need to ask you if you want to watch it together or if you want to watch it yourself first.” It was about Jesse’s privacy, after all, and she needed to ask his opinion.
Jesse didn’t say anything right away, but was thinking.
“You called the psychiatrist as well because you think this video is going to be a big shock to me, don’t you?”
“Uh-huh.” She nodded not holding back.
“If I’m not guessing, this video has something to do with Alex?”
How else would the video have been left behind?
The kidnapping wasn’t solved in the first place, not by a long shot.
“Watch it together.” He finally said.
“Yes!”
Nydia played the video with a screen cast.
As the video played, she kept an eye on Jesse’s face, reaching out to grab his hand.
When Alex’s face appeared in the video, Jesse showed a pained look and his head ached dramatically.
“JesseJesse!” shouted Nydia instantly, “Pause it first.”
“No, keep playing!” Jesse spoke with difficulty, the veins at the corners of his forehead popped and his eyes were crimson.
“My advice is to stop watching.” The psychiatrist advised as well.
Mostly because Jesse was in such a bad way at this point.
As a result, Jesse pushed Nydia right out of the way and said angrily, “Keep it on, no one is turning it off!”
His voice was ragged and he looked like a frightened beast.
Nydia immediately took out a needle and jabbed it into his acupuncture points, Vincent stepped in at the same time and injected him with a tranquilizer, and the two double-teamed to finally bring Jesse under control.
Jesse collapsed on the couch.
“Fernand means to make sure Jesse sees the video, and if Jesse doesn’t, he’s going to put it on the LED screen and play it.” Nydia said to the others.
“He’s in a bad way.” Vincent could tell even if he wasn’t a psychiatrist.
The psychiatrist looked closely at the video and told Nydia, “The crux of the matter is known, it was the seed planted by this incident and the excitement of the deliberately staged car accident that caused that seed to thrive, that caused his mental illness to be this bad.”
“So Alex has been laying the groundwork since that time?”
“Maybe from a much younger age, after all he was taught by Alex growing up.” Nydia thought about it and felt heartbroken for Jesse, having an uncle like that.
It’s easy to steel your mind when you’re taught from a young age.
The reason why some people spend their lives trying to heal their childhood is because childhood experiences are so important.
“What now?” They couldn’t estimate what would happen when Jesse woke up.
“We’ll all stand guard until he wakes up and see.”
Otherwise it was left to Nydia’s word there was no way to control Jesse.
