Reborn Before The Divorce

Chapter 54

She hurried over as soon as she heard about the situation, but ended up with both kids protecting Nydia, making her look like the bad guy and feeling very upset.

“Mom, maybe we should wait for Jesse to come back,” Sibley suggested.

Rosalind coldly snorted, “And when he comes back, he’ll just help her, won’t he?”

But there was no better solution at the moment. The two children couldn’t handle it, and Tavish in particular had a maturity and wisdom beyond his years.

It wouldn’t be good to forcefully take the two children away.

Jesse was already on his way back and arrived at home ten minutes later.

As soon as he walked in, he felt the tense atmosphere.

Molly was snuggled up next to Nydia, with Tavish sitting nearby, distance away.

Andrew, Rosalind, and Sibley were sitting on the other side of the sofa, and they all became excited when they saw him come back.

“Daddy!”

“Jesse!”

He had a stern face, clearly unhappy, and a hint of anger was brewing in his eyes and expression.

“Molly, Tavish, we need to talk, you two go back to your rooms,” he said to the two children.

He thought that once he came back, the two children would obediently go back to their rooms, but Tavish said, “We’re your children, and we have the right to know what happens next.”

His words shocked everyone again.

“Fine, if you want to stay, then stay,” Jesse had no objections.

Indeed, as Tavish said, he had the right to know. This matter was related to him, and it was not good to keep it hidden. He was well aware of how capable his son was.

“Mom, Dad, did you come here because of Tavish’s near-drowning incident?” Jesse spoke first.

“Why didn’t you tell us such a big thing? Jesse, you’re spoiling her. I won’t say anything, but it’s your own downfall. But you can’t let her harm my grandchildren!” Rosalind became emotional again when she thought about how Tavish almost died, her heart tightening and her breathing becoming difficult.

“Mom, please calm down and take care of yourself,” Sibley helped her breathe.

Jesse’s face remained unchanged as he glanced at Nydia, taking in the self-blame and guilt on her face. His gaze then shifted to Tavish and noticed the small scratches on his cheek.

The living room was eerily quiet, and no one spoke again.

“Jesse, what’s going on here? Explain it clearly,” Andrew spoke with a deep and authoritative voice.

“The investigation has been completed, and this has nothing to do with Nydia. Someone framed her to extort money,” Jesse’s tone was calm and steady, making it easy for people to believe what he said.

However, Rosalind had lost her trust in Nydia and was disappointed in Jesse, who had repeatedly defended her.

“You traitor, I knew you would defend her! What kind of spell did she cast on you to make you defend her again and again?” Rosalind sounded heartbroken.

She had already concluded that Nydia was guilty, and no matter what Jesse said, she couldn’t listen.

“Mom, this is the truth. We have already handed over the relevant personnel to the police. If I really wanted to defend her, I wouldn’t have involved the police,” Jesse replied calmly.

Just like when Tavish had an accident, he learned about the incident from Tavish but did not inform the police. At that time, he also thought Nydia was guilty.

Rosalind was stunned and took a while to react, “It really wasn’t her?”

“It wasn’t her. I wouldn’t just let this go,” Jesse replied.

Andrew spoke up again, “Do you have any evidence?”
