Reborn Before The Divorce

Chapter 110

Sara’s expression changed as he didn’t expect Jesse’s focus to be on this particular issue. “My conversation with her was staged, and I told her it was for testing purposes,” she tried to make her voice sound confident.

Jesse, however, looked at her with a scrutinizing gaze before silently standing up and leaving the room. When he returned to Sara’s office, he saw Nydia sitting on the couch biting her finger. Sensing his gaze, she looked up, and her eyes sparkled like stars.

“You’re back,” the last word drawn out, soft and gentle like the spring rain nurturing all living things.

Jesse suddenly felt his heart swell. The voice that should have been echoing in his mind was like ripples in his heart, stirring up his heartbeat.

“I’m leaving,” he said, his words unconsciously becoming gentler.

Nydia pushed his wheelchair out, followed by Vergil, and they met Sara walking towards them. “Are you leaving now? It’s not early. Why don’t we have lunch together?” she suggested with a smile.

“No, Dr. Duncan is busy with work. I won’t disturb you,” Jesse replied.

Sara’s face stiffened, and she realized that Jesse was angry, blaming herself for being meddlesome. But she was only trying to help him. Being around Nydia was not good for his emotions, not to mention that she couldn’t see what was so good about Nydia. Why was she so persistent?

However, Sara’s expression changed when she looked at Nydia. She resembled an angel in white.Belongs to (N)ôvel/Drama.Org.

“Okay, you two take care. Mrs. Pascall, please bring Jesse back for a follow-up when you have time. It’s good for his recovery,” Sara said.

“Sure,” Nydia agreed, but she couldn’t help feeling irritated. Why did Sara address her as Mrs. Pascall, but call Jesse by his name? Such different treatment!

She began to feel that Sara was strange, not an ordinary person.

They got into the car, and Vergil sat in the driver’s seat ready to drive.

Before driving, he took a deep breath and told himself to stay calm while driving and not be disturbed by the conversation in the back seat.

“Did I scare you that day?” Nydia brought up the topic to Jesse.

“Well, it was pretty ugly.”

“I mean, it wasn’t that bad. I’m so good-looking, even if I’m not in my right mind, I’m still good-looking.”

Jesse glanced at her as if to say, “Are you sober now?”

“But even though I scared you that day, you still stayed with me and brought me to see a psychiatrist today. Jesse, you’re really good to me.” She leaned over and tried to hug his arm, but he clasped his own arm tightly, preventing her from getting in.

She tried hard, but failed.

Damn it!

Looking up at him, he raised his eyebrows, looking pleased with himself.

“…” Childish!

Nydia changed her approach and hugged his waist from behind. “So you wanted me to hug your waist, huh?”

Jesse was shocked.

“Next time, you have to say it. Don’t always make me guess. I’m not smart, and I’ll do the wrong thing if I guess wrong.”

“Ah!”

Another sudden stop!

Nydia bumped into Jesse’s arms, luckily she had hugged his waist earlier, otherwise, who knows what would have happened!

“Vergil, if you can’t drive, get out of here!” Jesse directly yelled at Vergil.

“Sorry, boss, it won’t happen again!”
