Chapter 12: Reacquaintance
Chapter 12: Reacquaintance
There are times when Miller is really like a little kid.
Two hours later, Leanne's neck stiffened and she looked at Miller helplessly, asking impatiently, "Are
you done yet, you're going to be late if you keep this up!"
"Well, well, let's see if you're surprised by yourself." Miller said as he pushed her in front of the mirror.
Leanne Mo looks at the woman in the mirror and occasionally feels a little surreal. There is no denying
that she is beautiful in the mirror, and originally she had perfect proportions as a model.
Compared with Leah Mo, Leanne Mo's beauty is more open, and this woman in the mirror now can
charm countless men, and even women.
The face was both strange and familiar to her, and it always felt like she had taken something that
didn't belong to her. She looked at herself in the mirror and couldn't seem to remember what Leah Mo
looked like anymore.
"Well, isn't that amazing." Miller's voice interrupted her rambling thoughts. I have to say, Miller simply
understands women's minds better than women do. The exquisite makeup with the right hairstyle
immediately made her whole person become seductive.
"Eh, pretty good, where are the clothes? When will it arrive, I don't want to be late for my first
appearance." Leanne Mo looked at herself in the mirror, thought she would meet the two bitches Owen
Lu and Lucy, inexplicably a little nervous, so changed the subject and said.
"It should be here soon, don't worry, you won't be late." Miller thought for a moment after ringing the
doorbell and glanced at the door before opening it reassuringly.
"Mr. Xiao, this is the gown you reserved." The delivery man from the dress store outside the door
pushed a row of dresses in, then admonished them and left.
"Leanne, Gavin's people have a knack for this." Miller gave a heartfelt compliment, then picked a white
high-necked, cheongsam-style top and changed to a fishtail wrap-around skirt-style dress for Leanne
Mo's figure.
"That's the one, perfect."
Leanne Mo looked at the dress in front of her and it was indeed beautiful. The unique openwork style
dress was studded with glittering diamonds and looked like a real mermaid's tail from afar.
The creamy white shade accentuates her purity and nobility. White is Leah Mo's favorite color, but for
Leanne Mo, she prefers a brilliant red.
Miller expected her to say no, but I didn't expect him to hear Leanne agree after a long wait.
"Just take this one, I'll try it on." Leanne Mo took the dress into the dressing room, not sure exactly how
she wanted to change into this dress and stand in front of Owen Lu, thinking she would let herself be
Leah Mo for another day.
When she changed into that dress and went out, Miller had already picked out the accessories and
shoes waiting at the door. When she saw Leanne Mo come out, she couldn't help but sigh and exclaim,
"Leanne, it's simply too beautiful, like an angel, no wonder you didn't wear white before, are you afraid
of flying back to the sky and not coming back."
Leanne Mo walked over and took a look at the mirror. The woman in the mirror was indeed beautiful.
The classical softness of her bones and her flamboyant personality were perfectly blended in this
moment.
"Come on, with these crystal shoes and this pearl bag, you are definitely the center of attention
tonight." Miller helped her change into the seven-centimeter-high crystal glass shoes, and she looked
at herself in the mirror and nodded in satisfaction.
"I'm leaving, you take care of Daniel at home," Leanne Mo instructed, and left the house, heading
towards the reception venue of Mo's group. I don't know if it was intentional or unintentional, but they
actually set the reception at Vinson Gu's Dragon Star Hotel. Having just left the place for a day and
having to return here, Leanne Mo's mood was a bit complicated.
When the cab arrived, Leanne paid and got out, thinking it was time to go and pick a car back recently,
otherwise it would be inconvenient to go anywhere.
Like now cabs can only park in fixed lanes and she has to make hard work of her high heels to walk on
foot.
Leanne Mo approached the venue with the invitation when most people were already inside. Her entry
caused quite a commotion as everyone was talking and speculating about who this beautiful woman
was.
She walked in calmly, as if she were the queen of the party, found a random table and sat down to one
side, picked up a glass of champagne and shook it gently, but didn't drink it.
The men in the room were getting excited because she didn't have a male companion. After turning
down several invitations to dance with the boys in quick succession, the man she was waiting for finally
arrived.
Owen Lu, dressed in a dark blue double-breasted suit with a red velvet bow tie, walked in holding Lucy
Mo, who was wearing an aqua blue bustier dress with a crystal belt around her waist, causing an
instant sensation. Over the years, Owen Lu has gradually mastered Lucy, and he and Lucy often
appear together in various occasions, and everyone praises them as a good match.
Leanne Mo took a sip of the champagne she had been holding in her hand for a long time, tasting
sweet and sour, but with a hint of bitterness. Her eyes staring at Lucy Mo and Owen Lu were so hot
that they soon caught their attention, and she hurriedly gathered up the hatred in her eyes and
disguised herself again.
Putting on her standard hospitality smile, she didn't realize that Owen Lu and Lucy Mo were already
walking towards her. One step, two steps, Leanne Mo clutches the glass in her hand, trying to keep
herself calm and not do anything she shouldn't.
"Excuse me, are you Miss Lillian?"
The memory of that warm voice sounding again put Leanne Mo in a trance for a moment. But the
trance was followed by sharp heartache, she wanted to question him, she loved him so much, why did
he betray her, betray the love between them.
But she immediately regained her composure and suppressed all those thoughts. Then she looked up
at them both with a decent smile and said, "Yes." Original from NôvelDrama.Org.
"Miss Lillian, so young, beautiful and capable." Lucy Mo said appreciatively from the sidelines.
Women are always jealous of women who are prettier than they are, and also have a sense of crisis for
no reason, as she felt when she first met Leanne.
"Miss Mo is very complimentary, let's get reacquainted, my real name is Leanne Mo."
