Chapter 118: Irreparable
Chapter 118: Chapter 118: Irreparable
Gu Juntao was just supporting his old mother, and seeing his girlfriend faint, he was frantic. He hurried back, grabbed her hand, and shouted loudly, "Hongying! How are you, speak to me, speak!"
The nanny had been in the kitchen and hadn’t come out. Now seeing both of them faint, she hurried out to help, constantly sighing in her heart. The Gu Family, calm for decades, seemed to be facing trouble!
The ambulance arrived quickly, and everyone hurriedly and flusteredly got the two of them onto the ambulance.
Gu Juntao held Yang Hongying tightly. He was inherently gentle. Seeing her like this now, tears kept streaming down his face.
"Don’t scare me! Hongying, we will definitely be together. Trust me, don’t pass out!"
Gu Zishan put his wife on the ambulance, turned his head and heard his son talking like this, instantly flew into a rage, slapped him, causing Gu Juntao to fall in the car, his cheek swelling up immediately.
"That’s your mom. Do you even care about your parents? You only know she’s your girlfriend, have no filial piety at all, are you an animal?"
Gu Juntao didn’t say a word, knowing he was too impulsive. But he was really worried about this woman. She suffered so much, was now humiliated by his mother, could he just ignore her?
Yan Kai came over and patted Gu Juntao on the shoulder, "Don’t worry, I’ll take care of my sister, you go send your mom."
"But Hongying..."
"Let’s talk about it when everything calms down. Go see your mom!"
After Yan Kai finished speaking, he carried his sister and walked straight out. She didn’t want to be in the same hospital as Gu Juntao’s mother, luckily, he drove out himself.
Gu Juntao watched Yan Kai leave with Yang Hongying, and felt very sad.
Gu Zishan grabbed him, "What are you thinking? Close the door, let’s go!"
The fire truck quickly drove away. Gu Dongfang stood at the door and sighed, thinking it was a good time for the family to reunite, but who knew so many things would happen. He shook his head and turned back inside.
Although he could force Gu Zishan to accept Sun Chan, he knew he had no power over the matter concerning Yang Hongying.
He understood Wang Guihua’s character very well, even if the family was torn apart and unable to live together, she wouldn’t agree.
At this time, Gu Junming didn’t know that the trouble his brother caused was even bigger than his own. Now that everything was out in the open, and a result was achieved smoothly, he felt pretty good.
Sun Chan walked beside Gu Junming, her expression serious, not knowing what she was thinking.
Gu Junming asked with a smile, "What’s wrong?"
"Nothing." Sun Chan said, "Your dad doesn’t like me."
"What does he matter?" Gu Junming said with a faint smile, "You don’t need to take his words seriously. He has no control over me."
Sun Chan glanced at him, a little nervous, "I’m worried I might affect you..."
"He was like this before you came." Gu Junming held Sun Chan’s hand, "Didn’t grandpa acknowledge you? That’s a good thing, let’s not talk about it anymore. It’s this time, let’s go eat something good. How about the wontons from last time?"
Sun Chan nodded, smiling brightly and followed Gu Junming, "Okay!"
Watching her blooming smile, her eyes curved and bright, Gu Junming felt moved and wanted to lean in and kiss her lips. But he quickly restrained this impulse, coughed, grabbed her small hand, and walked forward. Neither spoke, but both felt very happy inside.
Gu Junming walked her to the alleyway near her home before leaving. He kept reminding her.
"Don’t work too long in the business, come home early and don’t get too tired."
Sun Chan couldn’t help but laugh, "Then what money would I earn?"
"It’s fine not making money, my salary can support you without any problem."
Sun Chan laughed and said, "Then what would I do sitting at home every day, be silly? Don’t worry, I know what I’m doing." She didn’t want to be supported by anyone. The Gu Family already looked down on her, she wanted to live with dignity.
Before Gu Junming left, he looked around to make sure no one was there, hugged her tightly, then ran off like he was escaping. Sun Chan’s face was still red when she returned home.
Returning to the flat, Guihua grabbed her, "How did it go, smooth or not?"
Sun Chan took off her cotton-padded jacket, sat on the edge of the kang, and briefly recounted the events.
Guihua pondered, "It seems half successful, but I think it’s nothing significant! That woman is a stepmother, she won’t care about you. Your father-in-law may be upset, but your grandfather and husband both like you, so it’s not a big deal."
Sun Chan blushed, lightly hitting Guihua’s arm, "What are you talking about? We aren’t married yet, how can you address it like that."
Guihua laughed heartily, "Isn’t that quite normal? It’s just a matter of time!"
"By the way, I saw Wang Dabao. He and Zhao Hong went to the Gu Family, not sure for what."
Hearing Sun Chan’s words, Guihua’s face turned very unpleasant, stood up and said, "Why else? Naturally digging around to find connections, wanting money from me, to avenge last night? But since you’re so connected with the Gu Family now, that brat probably won’t dare to say anything anymore. I’m going to do laundry. I brought some covers and sheets from home, let’s wash them for a change."
"I’ll go with you." Sun Chan changed clothes and went to do laundry with her in the outer yard. Hanging them outside, they quickly turned into ice clusters. Sun Chan thought, it’s almost the New Year, I’ll be eighteen soon.
Guihua said to Sun Chan, "I found my place, diagonally across from the train station. When I open it, come help if you’re free."
"Okay." Sun Chan agreed readily.
Now it was getting late, so just after four the outside was dark. Sun Chan put on her cotton-padded jacket and prepared to lock the door, when the gate suddenly banged open. noveldrama
Sun Chan was startled, "Who is it?"
"It’s me!" It was Han Dong’s voice.
He walked in while shouting to the people behind him, "Hurry and move in! Just put it here."
Only then did Sun Chan notice there were two more people behind him, one holding two boxes of fruit.
"I brought up the fruits, thinking you might be selling out, so I specially delivered some over." After saying this, she let those two people leave. She and Sun Chan moved things inside.
Of course, the place for fruits couldn’t be too warm, so they stayed in the outside corridor. There were two boxes of oranges, a box of apples, and a box of tomatoes. In winter, tomatoes are almost as valuable as fruits, quite profitable, especially brought by Han Dong.
"It’s really too much trouble for you." Sun Chan felt very embarrassed. It’s rare someone sells fruits and has the other person personally deliver them. Moreover, Han Dong charged her at cost price.
Han Dong said, "What’s the big deal? Got anything to eat? I haven’t eaten, I’m starving."
What do you think?
