Adia walked into Sebastian’s room after she knocked on the door, for a few minutes and got no response, walking inside the cold room she called his name out.
“Sebastian, Sebastian” she called but it looked as if he was not in there or he was not in the room.
“I’ll check his study” Adia mumbled to herself, making her way out, as she headed to his study room, it was already past nine and almost everyone was already in their rooms, she was literally the only one still walking about.
“Sebastian” she called out walking into the study, but it looked empty too. Adia walked around the neatly arranged study room, but there was not even a trace of him anywhere.
“Maybe he has something to take care of, I’ll see him tomorrow” she reasoned heading for the door.
“Why are you going around shouting my name, by this time of the night?” A dry raspy voice asked as Adia yelped in shock.
“Haaa” she screamed loudly, turning around in an instant, but she didn’t see Sebastian, because she was sure it’s his voice he heard.
“You scared me, where are you?” She asked looking around,
“Over here” Sebastian responded as Adia followed his voice as her eyes traveled to the window.
She walked closer to the window, but still couldn’t see him.
“Where are you?” She asked again,
“I’m right here” he replied in his deep voice startling Adia as she screamed in shock again.
“What are you doing there?” She asked horrified as she opened the window, he was literally hanging on the wall leisurely, that’s why she couldn’t see him.
“I was having a good time in the garden when I heard my name, what do you want?”
He asked as Adia studied him, with disheveled hair that still made him look breathtaking, he was wearing a shirt with the first few buttons undone, Adia couldn’t help but admire the tattoos peeking out of his chest, she didn’t fail to notice the cigarette between his hands.
“You were smoking?” She asked, ignoring his questions.
“Obviously, why are you here, you’re supposed to be sleeping”
“I came to talk to you, and I can’t sleep, so…” Adia replied, shrugging her shoulders.
” Go to bed, we’ll talk tomorrow”
“I don’t feel sleepy at all, can I join you?” Adia asked, staring at him with pleading eyes as he gave her a long look.
“Grab a sweater, it’s cold outside” he said,
“But I can’t go to my room I get a coat, that’s a long walk from here” Adia complained,
“You can take mine, it’s over there” he said pointing at the cushion where his sweater lay.
“Thanks” Adia said happily, rushing to the cushion as she collected the sweater before putting it on, it was so obvious he just wore it, as his smell lingered around her, he smelt so nice.
Adia looked at the sweater that stopped below her knees, it’s so big, coupled with her oversized pajamas, she looked like a bunny now.
“How do I get out?” Adia asked, walking to the window as Sebastian’s eyes traveled round her body.
“I’ll carry you, climb” he said as Adia gasped out appalled,
” How do you expect me to climb?” She questioned in fear,
” Come on, you’re not gonna get hurt, don’t you trust me?” He asked as their eyes met.
” I do, but…”
“I don’t mind leaving you behind you know” he snapped, ready to leap off as Adia quickly held his arm.Belongs © to NôvelDrama.Org.
“Ok, ok,” she obliged, putting her legs outside the window one after the other, now that she’s now sitting on it, but facing outside.
“Jesus….” Adia heaved as she looked down, she’s basically sitting on the window of a house that has five floors.
“What is it?” Sebastian scoffed as his lips drew in a thin line.
“It’s so far from up here, no human will survive a fall from here” she stuttered,
“You’re gonna jump down and I’ll catch you” Sebastian informed as Adia’s eyes grew wide.
“There’s no way I’m jumping down this place,” she said, holding the reins of the window tight.
” That’s the thing about you humans, you guys are so weak” he scoffed, holding her by her waist and the next second they were already off the window as Sebastian landed safely on the ground.
“You know what you looked like a cat each time you’re doing this” Adia stated arranging her clothes,
“Doing what?” Sebastian questioned leading her into a dark path,
“When you land, you know your vampire thing, I always admire you” she said truthfully, he looks so hot each time le leaos away especially when he’s landing.
“Everyone admires me,” he said proudly as Adia rolled her eyes.
“That’s a lie, I hated you when we first met, a lot” Adia emphasized as Sebastian stopped walking as he turned to face her.
“That’s because of the circumstances then, if what happened didn’t happen, you would have fallen for me at the first sight, even at that, I know you couldn’t help but admire me at the hotel room the next day” he conveyed continuing on his tracks, remembering the night that changed his life forever, that was the first time a woman was ever raising her hands on him, the fact that Adia slapped him and still walked out breathing, is still surprising to him up to the day.
” Not to talk of that, you still ended up falling for me, even though I’ve been anything but good to you, no one can resist my charms Adia” he stated as a matter of factly.
” I…” Adia mumbled but swallowed her words, as she stared at his back which was facing her.
Everything he said was true, even after what happened she still admired h, though she hated him to the core then, she couldn’t help but wonder how a human could be this good looking, and it’s still a mystery to her, on how she ended up loving him, the feelings just came even before she realized it and now it’s too late to go back.
“Do you still love her till now?” Adia suddenly asked as he stilled.
“Who?”
“Your first love, Aisling”.
