My Toyboy 298
Filip quickly sensed something was wrong. He got up and hurried over. “What’s going on?”
Jonathan frowned and said, “The door is locked.” Filip tried several times but couldn’t get it open.
Jonathan said, “Stop trying; someone locked it from the outside. We can’t open it from in here.”
Filip said, “I’ll call Wallace.”
Filip tried to make a call but found he couldn’t get through. Jonathan checked his phone and saw there was no signal.
Filip was baffled. “What’s going on here?”
Jonathan explained, “Someone must have installed a signal jammer, so there’s no signal in this room.”
Filip was puzzled. “Who would do this and why?”
Suddenly, Jonathan thought of something. He turned and asked, “Did Lilian ask you to give me this diary?” NôvelDrama.Org (C) content.
Filip was surprised. “How did you know?”
Jonathan immediately figured everything out. The reason Lilian had Filip give him this diary wasn’t to mess with his marriage. She just wanted to trap them both here, unable to leave.
-Jonathan suddenly laughed, finding it quite ironic. Meanwhile, Filip was still completely in the dark.
Jonathan said, “Your bride doesn’t want you at the wedding she carefully planned.”
Filip was taken aback. It took him a moment to come to his senses.
‘Lilian had used me once again. She desired a wedding that would be the talk of the town, but wasn’t her own wedding with me. She… Filip thought as a chill ran down his spine. “Lilian! You tricked me again!” he shouted angrily.
“What is she really up to?” Filip muttered to himself as he paced. He just couldn’t figure it out.
‘Did Lilian trap me here just to satisfy some sense of ceremony she had? Or was there an even bigger scheme at play?
‘No, it cldn’t be. She wouldn’t expose that secret–she’d sworn it to me. It was a secret we were to take to our graves, never to be shared with a soul.
‘Besides, the baby hasn’t been safely born yet. She cares too much about that baby to act recklessly.
‘So there’s only one possibility that she wants a wedding with him, even if it’s self–deception.
But then a thought struck Filip. ‘Why would Jonathan say that? How did he know that Lilian didn’t want me, the groom, at the wedding?‘
He looked at Jonathan, shocked. “So you… knew too?”
Jonathan replied calmly, “I was just guessing before, but now I’m sure.”
“How did you figure it out?” Filip asked.
“Don’t you think the way she looks at Cynthia is the same as how we look at Cynthia?” Jonathan replied.
“Full of ambition and possessiveness, and often jealousy. I thought she was jealous of Cynthia, but it turns out she was jealous of the man by Cynthia’s side.”
Jonathan said coldly, “I didn’t expect both of us were got played by Lilian.”

They began trying to find a way to escape. The door had obviously been reinforced, solid as a rock, making it impossible to open from the inside.
The lounge was well–chosen too–no windows, just walls. Clearly, without someone opening it from the outside, escape would be tough.
But since Lilian had planned everything in advance, someone was definitely guarding the door, keeping people away. Relying on help from the outside wasn’t going to work.
On the other side, the wedding was underway, yet the groom was nowhere to be seen.
The wedding planner was extremely anxious and sent several people out to search.
Henry and Pamela were really anxious too, wondering, “The ceremony was about to start, and where was that jerk Filip?”
It was just like three years ago. Filip bailed at the last minute, never showing up at the wedding, leaving Cynthia to manage the whole affair alone.
Luckily, Cynthia was poised and confident. With her striking looks and exceptional aura, she wasn’t flustered or angry, so things didn’t turn into a laughingstock. Everyone just felt sorry and called Filip
unreliable.
Pamela wondered, ‘Did Filip suddenly have second thoughts again and pull the same stunt? This jerk insisted on marrying Lilian. He was the one who demanded a grand wedding.
Now, all of Roncrity’s wealthy and powerful figures were present. Another mishap like this, and the Yates family’s reputation would be completely ruined. I’d never face those high society ladies again.’
Pamela was furious and sent out more people to find Filip.
Even the venue’s security guards were dispatched. A few made their way to the lounge, but someone was waiting outside. Whenever anyone approached, he’d pretend to be coming from inside, saying, “No one in there, check somewhere else.”
People were already whispering in the banquet hall. Meanwhile, Cynthia was on the phone with Jonathan. Just now, Jonathan said he was stepping out but hadn’t returned since. Cynthia had no clue where he’d gone.
Now when she tried to call, the phone was unreachable. Cynthia felt a bit worried, wondering, ‘What’s going on?‘
Shirley sat with Cynthia at the same table, dressed elegantly and behaving well since her arrival, not uttering a word out of place. Selena had no intention of bringing her, but Shirley showed up on her own.
Upon reaching the hotel’s entrance, she was stopped outside due to a lack of an invitation. She began causing a scene, attracting a crowd of onlookers.
Selena had no choice but to bring her inside. Surprisingly, once inside, Shirley seemed like a completely different person. She sat quietly in her seat from start to finish, not saying a word
occasionally checking her phone to send a message. Cynthia arrived early, and Shirley didn’t bother her; they acted as if they were strangers.
Selena was worried Shirley might act up and cause a scene. But with everything calm, she finally felt a bit relieved. Shirley observed the situation, thinking it was the perfect day. It seemed like Jonathan hadn’t shown up.
Cynthia was all alone, with no one nearby. Filip had also vanished. The Yates family had deployed all their security guards to search for him.

The scene was somewhat chaotic, and the security was weak. Shiley felt smug; the muddier the water, the easier it was to catch big fish.
She picked up her phone, walked to the window, and made a call. The call connected quickly. Shirley whispered, “Are you there yet?”
