Xenia was so angry that she burst into tears. Back then, she had always deliberately taken away Noelle's seat, and her older brothers had always spoken up for her. She never expected that one day, she would be the one on the receiving end.

Gordon was starting to lose his patience. "Ms. Noelle, all the dishes were prepared by the head chef. There's no way that they would taste bad."

Her gaze carried a hint of mockery. "It tastes bad to me. Looks like you're not doing your job well enough. I suggest replacing our butler."

Xenia quickly interjected her. "Gordon's been with our family for over a decade! Everyone's already used to having him around! How can you just replace him like that?"

Noelle was adamant. "He changed the front gate's password without permission and even tampered with stuff that our parents left behind. I don't think someone like that is fit to work for the Liddell family. I don't want to see him again."

Donovan was at a loss for words, so he turned to look at Frank.

Frank spoke up. "Since Noelle doesn't like Gordon, we'll just hire someone else. But considering that Gordon's been with us for over a decade, let's just send him back to our old home in Aldoria.

"He doesn't have to stay here with us any longer. What do you think, Donovan?"

Donovan felt that it was just a trivial matter. If this was in the past, he would have just told Noelle to let it go. But now, with Noelle's temper, if they were to anger her, she would probably cause a scene and say that they no longer wanted to reconcile.

After weighing his options, he decided that it was best for Gordon to leave. He nodded and replied, "That works, too."

Xenia began to panic when she saw that Donovan had agreed. "Donovan, we can't just send Gordon back to our old home!"

Xenia held onto Donovan's arm and acted like a spoiled kid, thinking that she could gain his pity like before. "But Gordon's already like family to me! I don't want to see him leave!"

Frank turned to Xenia and said, "If you really can't be without Gordon, then you can go back to Aldoria with him."

After the meal, Donovan turned to Noelle and said, "Now that you've made peace with the family, it's time for you to go to the police station and withdraw your disputes as well as clarify everything to the public."

"There's no need to rush. We can take our time," Noelle replied.

She was not so foolish as to do as she was told. She knew that Donovan would immediately turn his back on her if she had done so. With that, she left the dining

room.

Donovan set down his cutlery and said, "Hmph! Noelle's getting worse! Xenia, you should stop provoking her for now."
