No longer a pushover (Noelle and Cedric)

Chapter 167

Xenia pocketed her phone and said, "Just some videos recommended to me. No one sent anything to me."

None of the Liddells could find out about this.

They'd taken her home because she was an orphan, not to mention how there was definitely a story behind why her dad was alive.

Xenia had a bad feeling about this. She immediately changed the topic and asked, "Why have you come home? Is Frank feeling better?"

"He is."

Lucas retracted his hand. "You said that Frank was sick while you were streaming. What did Noelle say?"

Xenia sighed and said, "She seems to have gotten even angrier. It was my fault. I shouldn't have spoken about this before so many people."

She'd done that on purpose. Publicly guilt-tripping Noelle would further discourage her from coming home.

"Don't beat yourself up over this. Noelle has changed."

Lucas looked around her bedroom and said, "Xenia, the room you had been staying in was a little small. I'm planning to renovate the guest room for you. However, let's return this room to Noelle. What do you think?"

Xenia had moved into Noelle's room and treated it as her own. The idea of moving out had never occurred to her!

Since Noelle said she was moving out, Xenia was now the only daughter the Liddells had. Of course she would stay in the biggest room.

She'd never expected Lucas to say that she should move out.

Lucas said awkwardly, "Xenia, don't overthink this. I don't mean anything bad. It's just that Noelle has been throwing a tantrum about this. We've got to give things back to her."noveldrama

When Noelle said she wanted to sever ties, he felt like he'd been slapped across the face.

He reflected on how he'd treated Noelle and Xenia differently. Now, he had to learn to be fairer. After all, Noelle did care.

Lucas had to change.

"Lucas, what are you going on about? Why would I overthink? This room has always belonged to Noelle. It's only right that it should be returned to its original owner."

Xenia smiled kindly. In reality, she loathed Noelle.

Lucas sighed in relief, "Iter to

understand. We can only cater to Noelle's horrible temper now. Don't worry, I won't treat you badly in the future."

"I know."

"Right, do put aside the jewelry left

with you when Noelle apologized f

the gala. When she comes back, è it all back to her."

When Xenia heard that, her smile faltered.

She could move out, but if she had to return the jewelry to Noelle, it felt like her flesh was getting torn off her.

Xenia's eyes teared up. "Lucas, I

know that the jewelry was given to me temporarily. However, I've worn them at a gala. If I don't wear anything at the next event, will the journalists make up stories about me?"

"Don't worry about that. I'll buy you some more in the future."

"Alright, thanks Lucas."

Although Xenia didn't want to give them up, she had to put up a good front.

At Xenia's agreeable attitude, Lucas sighed, "If only Noelle was as obedient as you."

It wouldn't be so inconvenient now.

A mocking glee flashed across Xenia's eyes. Her obedience was but a front to please her brothers.

She'd been wronged time and time again.

After Lucas left, she glowered.

She'd thought she was almost like Noelle. Reality was like a slap across her face.

Her phone buzzed. "No matter how much you pretend to be a rich Liddell, you'll never really be part of them. We're family!"

Hatred gleamed in Xenia's eyes.
