Chapter 620: Six hundred and nineteen, victorious

Qin Yushen raised his hand, and the spinning Soul Collection Tower in mid-air instantly stopped, falling into his hand. His Divine Sense was far more powerful than the Mo Feng Sect Master, so severing his connection with the artifact was trivial.

"This is impossible!" The Mo Feng Sect Master shook his head in disbelief. Yet, he knew it was true, for he had completely lost contact with the Soul Collection Tower, let alone be able to control it.

"Who exactly are you?" The Mo Feng Sect Master looked at Qin Yushen with fear. He had known from the start that Qin Yushen was formidable, but he hadn’t expected him to be this powerful.

"You’re not worthy of knowing." Qin Yushen threw the Soul Collection Tower back into the air. The man he used to be was an Immortal Venerable, and although his current strength wasn’t even one-billionth of what it once was, dealing with an ordinary cultivator of the Cultivation World was far too simple for him.

"No! Please, I will sever my own arms." The Mo Feng Sect Master cried out in desperation as he saw the Soul Collection Tower ascend and release its light again. Once his Primordial Soul was captured by the tower, he would be shattered, with no chance for Reincarnation.

But Qin Yushen gave him no opportunity for reprieve.

As the light of the Soul Collection Tower enveloped the Mo Feng Sect Master, he fell to the ground, lifelessly.

Qin Yushen retrieved the Soul Collection Tower, exchanged a smile with Song Yan Ning beside him, and walked off the contest stage. noveldrama

The organizers took a while to recover, then a Black Robed Elder quickly stepped onto the stage, "I declare the bid for spots in the contest to be over, and the first prize goes to Sky Heart Sect Disciple Song Yan Ning." They didn’t dare let the competition continue. With only three disciples from the Sky Heart Sect competing, the Mo Feng Sect Master, the talented Mo Feng disciple Fang Yijian, and the Deputy Sect Master and talented disciple Yan Binyu from the Lingyun Divine Sect had all fallen. Continuing the contest was out of the question.

Liu Yunshan heard the results and almost jumped for joy. He truly hadn’t expected the Sky Heart Sect to come in first.

"Sect Master Liu! Congratulations! Could I possibly buy a few spots from you?" The Yiming Sect Master approached with a smile. He had once looked down on Liu Yunshan, but now found himself asking favors from the man. Indeed, how quickly the world changes!

Liu Yunshan was inclined to agree but, remembering the previous agreement with Song Yan Ning and the others, he replied apologetically with a smile, "Sect Leader Zhou, I am terribly sorry, but I’ve already promised my disciples they would decide how to allocate the spots."

The Yiming Sect Master frowned displeased, but upon considering the strength Song Yan Ning and her companians had displayed, he understood and turned to approach them. He had wondered how the Sky Heart Sect could have such powerful disciples; it turned out they’d merely used the Sky Heart Sect’s name to enter the contest.

"Ladies and gentlemen! I am Zhou Yangyu, the Yiming Sect Master." Zhou Yangyu approached Song Yan Ning and her group, greeting them with a polite bow and a smile.

"Sect Leader Zhou," Song Yan Ning and her companions responded coolly. They’d already decided to auction off their awarded spots at an auction house.

Seeing their lukewarm reception, Zhou Yangyu felt a slight irritation, which didn’t show on his face, still with a sincerely smiling, "I’ve come to inquire about purchasing ten spots."

"Sect Leader Zhou, we have decided to auction off the remaining spots at the auction house. You may attend the auction tomorrow," Hu Qi said. Having witnessed Ningning and Qin Yushen’s strength, he believed that with them, the Fox Clan would surely avenge their grievances and take back everything that belonged to them.

"Very well," Zhou Yangyu nodded, pondering, then ventured to ask, "May I inquire if you all intend to stay with the Sky Heart Sect permanently?"

"That doesn’t seem to concern you, does it?" Hu Qi replied coldly. He understood Zhou Yangyu’s intentions, but compared to other sects, they felt Sky Heart Sect was more suitable, though they didn’t plan to remain there for long.

"Hmph!" Sect Leader Zhou snorted coldly, his expression souring as he turned to leave. Had the others not been so powerful, he would have lost his temper long ago. After all, he was the leader of a sect, and here a few disciples from minor sects dared to disrespect him. He had to swallow his anger, though, aware of the fates that befell others who had previously provoked them.
