Madam Winters’s Fight For Her Children Chapter 1337
“Don’t be scared, Baby. Let’s calm down first.”
Watching as Ninian spun around in circles anxiously, Everett held her shoulders and calmly asked, “What happened? You can tell me, and I’ll take care of it.”
Ninian was brought back to her senses by Everett’s deep and calm voice.
She blinked and slowly realized. ‘Wait, that’s weird. What am I afraid of?‘
Her relationship with Everett had been made public, and the entire country was aware of it. But why was she acting no different from when she recently returned to Cairnstan and sneaked into the entertainment industry, afraid of being discovered by her family?
She was confused. Material © of NôvelDrama.Org.
Everett’s heart sank when he saw her dumbfounded and remaining silent. He pursed his thin lips lightly.
He took the phone from her hands and said, “Hello, Ms. Ward. This is Everett.”
On the other end of the line, Amber was taken aback, but she reacted quickly. “Everett, a video of you and Ninian’s conversation on the set of “Turncoat” is currently trending. I did a little digging and discovered that it was a marketing stunt by the “Turncoat” production team. I think they’re preparing to publicly announce Ninian as the female lead. Do you think I should organize a push from our end to promote it as well?”
“A video?” Everett promptly asked, raising his eyebrows. “No need. Nilson is very familiar with these promotional stunts, so he’ll handle it just fine. It would be a little overboard if we did it as well, and it
might affect the viewers‘ impression.”
“Okay, I agree, but I just wanted to get Ninian’s opinion.”
Amber sighed in relief and continued. “But what just happened to Ninian? Why did she sound frightened? Will it affect her if her family finds out about this?”
Ninian, who was standing nearby and listening with her ears perked up, blushed instantly.
‘This is so embarrassing!‘
She covered her face in shame.
Everett looked at her with a teasing smile in his eyes, but his low voice did not reveal any of it. “It’s alright, we’ll take care of it ourselves. Just monitor the online comments and send Nilson a message.”
After a pause, Everett added, “If Ninian is attacked by extreme fans, you can bet that I’ll find him.”
Although he spoke calmly, those who heard him felt chills and sweat run down their spines.
Amber gloated while she prayed for Nilson in her heart.
The number of brain–dead insane fans Everett had was one thing; if they discovered this side of Everett, they might not be able to take it and end up attacking Ninian instead. All those nosy keyboard warriors who were irresponsible with their words would say that Ninian got the role through connections, that she lacked talent, or that she bought the role with money with just a few light taps on the keyboard. That would be enough to enrage all fans of the original “Turncoat.”
Ninian’s case would not be put to rest that easily.
The higher it trended, the more likely it was that different points of view would emerge. When the level of discussion and controversy rose, it might become another way of
gaining publicity.
Many people would say that bad publicity was still publicity. After all, being canceled in the entertainment industry was no worse than being forgotten by the public.
Nilson could have predicted the backlash when he posted the video, but as long as the pros outweigh the cons, everything would be fine.
However, Everett’s words had now blocked his way out of this.
There could not be negative comments about Ninian, let alone attacks.
Nilson was probably going bald.
Amber was relieved that she did not have to do PR on her own, and after praying and feeling sorry for Nilson, she felt even happier.
She quickly responded with a hum, ended the call, and went about her business.
On the other end, Everett dropped the phone. When he glanced down, he was met with Ninian’s embarrassed expression.
The little girl, who had always been fearless, bright, and charming, was unusually embarrassed. That made Everett want to tease her even more.
