Chapter 58
Previously, he did not know how much effort he had put into contacting N.E., but in the end, he had not even met William face to face, and only met him once.
"Mr. William is still busy, if there's time I will introduce you to him."
Daniel smiled, retracted his hand politely and turned to look at Alice, saying respectfully, "Miss Alice, Mr. William will wait for you to go and dance."
Hearing that, Lincoln opened his mouth wide in shock, and looked at Alice in a daze.
She looked at Rosanna, "Rosanna, I have something that I need your help with in a while, can you please not stay away from me for the time being?"
The sooner the matter was resolved, the better.
Maybe, it was god's will for her to meet Rosanna on the cruise today.
Rosanna was a little shocked when she saw this, and she did not even have time to react.
Lincoln hurriedly nodded, "Yes, yes, we definitely won't go far. If Miss Alice has any orders, we'll wait patiently at any time."
Lincoln looked at Alice with his flattering eyes.
Alice glanced at Rosanna before leaving with Daniel.
As soon as they left, Lincoln pushed Rosanna away, and his flattering face instantly became sinister, "You woman, you ruined my plans, why didn't you say earlier that this classmate was Mr. William's woman? Shame on me! You even want me to introduce her to a man!"
Was there any financial backer in the world that was richer than William?
"Mr. William?" Rosanna asked dumbfoundedly, "Which Mr. William?"
"Which other Mr. William can it be? William!"
Lincoln was infuriated.
William, CEO of N.E.
Alice was actually together with William.
The expression on Rosanna's face became even more dazed, and she was unable to regain her senses for a long time.
Inside the cruise ship, the lights were bright and the beautiful figures dressed in luxurious clothing were interweaving with each other as they drank wine.
The female singers and dancers were performing on the central stage, while the male and female guests below were dancing in succession, performing a scene of the prosperity of high society.
William sat on a sofa at the side. He leaned his body slightly backwards.
Alice walked over.
"Where did you run off to again?"
William glanced at her coldly, the anger he felt just now still lingering.
"Take a walk."
Alice said indifferently, she carefully looked at his expression, hesitating to ask for Rosanna's proof.
William's gaze turned gloomy, and landed on her body like a sharp blade sliding across her skin, causing one to feel fear.
Tonight, she had truly angered William.
"Come and dance!"
William stood up from the sofa and handed the champagne glass over to Daniel. He took Alice's hand and pulled her into the dance floor.
Seeing William coming in, all the surrounding guests couldn't help but to move to the side, leaving them with a large space.
Alice put her hand on his shoulder and started a waltz dance.
This kind of simple dance step was something she thought was very beautiful
when she watched the plots in TV dramas. As a result, she secretly taught herself and Patrick to dance while she read instructions.
William danced while hugging her, his face did not have the slightest bit of happiness, it was extremely gloomy.
"Are you still angry?" Alice asked softly, coordinating with his dancing steps.
"You also know that you've angered me?"
William looked down at her gloomily.
"I just want to find out what happened three years ago. Why are you doing this?" Alice whispered.noveldrama
William's eyes trembled, his large palm pressed against her waist, and with a sudden burst of strength, he pushed her closer to him, "Is that so? What I see was a woman who only wants to cut off her relationship with me and flee from me!"
Hearing his voice, Alice's heart trembled, and she tried to sound calm, "You're thinking too much."
"Better be."
William stared at her face and continued to lead her to dance step by step.
"You know how to dance."
Alice changed the topic, in her mind, she was thinking of how to bring Rosanna out naturally, and how to prevent William from going into a rage.
"Bringing a rookie like you is more than enough." William said disdainfully, the tip of his leather shoes touching the tip of her shoes, "Step back at this time."
Of course, what she taught herself was not as good as his.
William taught her waltz at the scene, but the dance steps that she had taught herself back then were too ingrained, causing her to follow her own thoughts no matter how many times William said it.
"I've never seen you so stupid! These few steps are not like this!"
William was successfully tricked by her, and began to impatiently teach her how to waltz.
Seeing him like this, Alice breathed a sigh of relief. While being taught by him absent-mindedly, she also looked towards the side of the dance floor.
Lincoln hugged Rosanna as she sat beside Daniel, while Rosanna looked at them in shock. Lincoln used all his might to wave his hands at her, trying to flatter her.
Alice felt a headache, how could she mention it?
It was rare that both William and Rosanna were here, so it was the best time to talk about what happened three years ago.
Something had to be done.
Alice pretended to twist her foot and naturally fell into William's embrace. "Ahh, it's so painful."
William frowned. He held her up with one hand and swept his black eyes across her ankles.
Her foot had been injured not long ago.
"Help me to sit over there." Alice looked at William.
"You don't want to learn how to dance, so you pretend to twist your ankle?"
"I didn't."
William raised her gaze, and Alice met his gaze with hope.
William did not support her, but instead, directly carried her across his chest, and walked out of the dance floor under the gaze of the crowd, towards Daniel. Daniel immediately stood up and gave him a seat.
"Is the Miss Alice alright?" Daniel asked with concern.
"Nothing, maybe I really don't have any talent for dancing."
Alice laughed.
William carried her and sat her on his lap, taking off her high heels with his big hands. He placed her leg right in front of him and examined her ankles with his long fingers, then said with a low voice, "It's not swollen."
"Hmm, it doesn't seem to be that serious."
Alice followed his words, and looking at William's serious look, she suddenly felt a little uncomfortable.
He really thought she had sprained her ankle.
"Mr. William is so good to Miss Alice." Lincoln walked over when he saw the
chance, his face was full of flattery.
William raised his eyes and looked at the approaching man coldly.
Alice grabbed the chance and turned to William, "William, I coincidentally met my university classmate on the cruise, let me introduce her to you, this is my classmate Rosanna, and her boyfriend, Lincoln Bank's CEO Lincoln."
"Mr. William, I am Lincoln."
Lincoln nodded his head and bowed. Rosanna stood beside him and looked at him with a pale face.
"Rosanna?" William's gaze trembled, "This name sounds a little familiar."
Alice tensed up, and immediately pretended to be casual, and said, "She's the university classmate that I asked you to look for previously, I didn't expect to meet her here."
Hearing that, William immediately looked at her gloomily.
Alice thought about the scene in the cabin with him and couldn't help but hold her breath.
She was not sure what William would do in the next second. Should he scold her until her hair dripped with sweat, or would he just throw her out?
Alice was still sitting on his body and felt that everything around her had stopped moving. There was no sound, no one else.
Suddenly, William laughed, an extremely cold laugh.
"Is this your last move? Looking for a witness? "William sneered, looking at her
like she was a ridiculous child.
Alice did not understand what he meant.
William turned his head, his black eyes coldly glanced at Rosanna, and Rosanna's face instantly became even more pale.
William suddenly pinched Alice's chin and turned her head to look at Rosanna, then sneered, "Woman, I forgot to tell you something. Three years ago, the most important investigation process was provided by this university classmate, and it was her who forcefully testified that there was a problem with you that night."
Alice was stunned, "What did you say?"
It was like a bucket of ice water falling from the sky, heavily hitting her head, extinguishing her last hope.
What did he mean by that?
She looked at Rosanna blankly. Rosanna took a step back with a pale face, her eyes twinkling.
Seeing that the situation was not easy to settle, Daniel arranged a guest room on the cruise ship.
In the reception room, William sat alone on the sofa. He leaned slightly forward
and looked at Alice with black eyes and a long finger holding a glass of champagne.
He wanted to see what else Alice had to say.
Rosanna stood beside Lincoln with a pale face.
Alice looked at Rosanna with disbelief, "Three years ago, was it you who proved
me guilty?
Why?"
She thought that Rosanna would be her last hope.
In the end, she found out that everything she had received was thanks to
Rosanna.
"I..." Rosanna raised her eyes and looked at her, then retreated two steps. "I am
not a witenss, it was they who kept on asking me where I was at that time, and also where you were at."
"Didn't I always stay with you?" Alice said.
"But that night you said you weren't feeling well. You just rested in the bathroom
for an hour. When they ask me, I can only tell them the truth." Rosanna looked at her innocently.
Alice said in a daze, "I was a bit uncomfortable that night, and I rested for a while." Could it be that within that one hour, William was..
Seemingly wanting to verify her conjecture, Daniel walked out and said, "It was
within that hour that young master drank all the water in his room and his mind was muddled. There was a waitress who entered young master's room with her head lowered, dodging the bodyguards' sight." ..
Alice looked at Daniel in a daze. William sat there, looking at Alice's expression, he raised the cup in his hand and took a sip.
After a long time, Alice finally heard her last struggling voice, "Did you guys only investigate the waiters? Maybe there was someone under disguise?" "Young Master also thought of this." Daniel said, "So we were searching all of them, and it seems like it was your destiny. Even though there were so many people on the ship, in that one hour, other than the Miss Alice, everyone else had at least one witness, and it was impossible to get close to Young Master's room."
What do you think?
