My Extraordinary Wife

Chapter 1234

Chapter 1234 Regret

However, for the sake of the medicine, for the sake of Ashlyn's status and position, he had no choice but to say these words. Exclusive © content by N(ô)ve/l/Drama.Org.

He was taught a harsh lesson by Ashlyn and was thoroughly defeated.

In this lifetime, he would never dare to underestimate women again. When a woman got tough, he simply wouldn't stand a chance.

Suppressing the relentless trembling in his heart, a heart that was almost beating irregularly, he asked Ashlyn with a shaky voice, “Ms. Berry is right, I am the President, how could I possibly make empty promises? I will definitely keep my word.”

Ashlyn laughed again, her laughter bright and radiant, “Thank you very much, Mr. President.”

“I just wonder, what do you think about our collaboration, Ms. Berry?” The President looked at Ashlyn with a pale face, fearing that she might say something about discontinuing the cooperation with Zaewora.

Healthcare was of utmost importance. If the standard of healthcare cannot keep up, it would inevitably lead to chaos and disaster.

The air was thick with tension and awkwardness as Samantha and her son stared at Ashlyn in shock.

Like everyone else, they couldn't believe it.

Who would have thought that the renowned Chairman of the century-old pharmaceutical company would be such a young woman, not only young but also beautiful? How could she possibly be so capable?

However, reality gave them a harsh slap in the face.

Everyone present heard Ashlyn casually say, “I've decided to take back that two percent concession, Mr. President. I'm sorry.”

She is retracting the concession...

The President swayed slightly, but fortunately, Herald was quick to steady him.

“Mr. President...”

He weakly clutched his chest. The pain was so intense.

A two percent concession was not a small amount of money, and it was gone just like that.

Herald comforted him in a soft voice. “At least they didn't terminate the collaboration. That's not too bad.”

Lucas thoroughly enjoyed a grand play, feeling extremely delighted.

His woman was so impressive. Pride was written all over his handsome face. A smirk tugged at the corner of his lips. He then leaned in close to the President's ear and whispered softly, “Tsk tsk... Mr. President, this is the consequence of underestimating women. How does it feel?”

The President was so furious that his face turned pale, almost devoid of any color.

However, he knew deep down that he was merely reaping what he had sown.

He shouldn't have belittled Ashlyn, nor should he scorn and look down on her, and he certainly shouldn't have mocked her with his words.

But now, it was too late for him to regret his actions.

It was of no use at all.

He only wished that if time could be reversed, he would certainly keep his mouth shut.

Yuri stood not far away, watching the usually high and mighty President being humiliated and ruthlessly put in his place by Ashlyn. She couldn't begin to express how satisfying and refreshing it felt.

She had always been afraid of this man. From her childhood to adulthood, he was like a mountain weighing on her heart.

She had never experienced the affection and pampering of a father. All she received from him was harm and humiliation.

But she realized, in front of Ashlyn, that this man was nothing more than a piece of trash.

It seemed as though Yuri had suddenly leaped over the chasm of fear, becoming incredibly brave in the process.

What's there to be afraid of? Isn't he just a man? A middle-aged man at that? A man who can't even hold his head high in front of Ashlyn!

In the years to come, in her future life, she aspired to become a woman as strong and independent as Ashlyn.

“What nonsense that any woman will do! Who among you knows what she truly is? She's nothing but trash. She's a lowlife! This shameless woman, the child she bore isn't even a part of our Guzman family!”

Suddenly, Marilyn burst out from the crowd, pointing at Yuri's nose. She glared at the latter fiercely, cursing wildly, “You lowlife, you harlot, what right do you have to stand here and speak up for women?

Do you think standing here makes you any less of a harlot?”

The crowd, originally stunned by Ashlyn, suddenly erupted into an uproar once again.

The President just lost face a moment ago, and they still hadn't fully processed the crazy scene caused by Ashlyn.
