“Simone, are you alright?”
Dustin gently pressed a warm cloth to Simone’s face and asked in concern.
Simone looked at him with tenderness.
“I’m fine. You should check on Miss Elisa…” she whispered as she looked at Elisa.

Elisa had been slapped twice, and both her cheeks were swollen. She was in far worse shape than her. “She’s just an outsider. Why should I bother about her? might go as far as to say that the slap wasn’t nearly hard enough,” said Dustin coldly.
Simone opened her mouth but did not say anything.
The Wyatt family had kicked Dustin out of the family first. They had been so cruel to him, so she supported Dustin.
Elisa covered her face and stood by the window as she stared outside.
She could hear their conversation.
When she heard Dustin calling her an outsider, she felt furious.
He used to be a servant of the Wyatt family. How dare he act like he was someone important?
“Ungrateful brat! That b*stard!” she cursed at him.
She vowed to take her revenge for the slap.
She looked out the window for a very long time, but she still did not see anyone approaching. She began to feel anxious.

A few minutes later, she finally saw two cars driving into the courtyard of the Langley family villa.
Elisa felt excited.
“My people have arrived. You’re going to die!” she said ruthlessly. She walked to the door and opened it.
The Langley family looked at each other at a loss. They were frightened.
They knew about Elisa’s reputation. She was very influential in the underworld.
The Langley family’s fearful glances delighted Elisa.
She looked at Dustin and hoped to see him anxious and scared, but he looked as calm as ever. She felt displeased.

Soon, there were footsteps, and a few people walked up the stairs.
“Why are you here only now?” Elisa snapped at them with a long face.

Ronald led the leaders of the Serpentine Gang to the Langley family. They looked very intimidating. Elisa watched the Langley family’s reaction from the back. She sneered, and her anger ebbed a little,
“Mr. Quigley, these young people don’t know any better. I was the one who offended Miss Elisa, Please forgive these kids. I’ll take responsibility. Please don’t hold it against them,” said David pleadingly as he stepped forward.
“Bah! Who do you think you are? Can you take the responsibility for this?” Elisa sneered. Her face shone with contempt and hatred.

Ronald frowned, turned around, and glared at her coldly.
“How dare you look at me like that?!” Elisa was upset.
“I’ll rip your mouth apart if you make any more noise!” Ronald said angrily.
Elisa was stunned. Her eyes shone with disbelief.
Was this really the head of the gangster who had rushed to the Wyatt family and begged for her forgiveness?
How dare he act like this?!
“Mr. Langley and family, I’m here to personally apologize to you,” Ronald turned around and said apologetically. “I’m really sorry that the members of the Serpentine Gang have bothered you so much.”
“What?! Pardon?”
David and Monique were stunned. Simone and Camille widened their eyes in shock.
“No, no! Please don’t… We don’t dare to hold that against you. Mr. Quigley, please rest assured. We will pay back the money we owe the Serpentine Gang!” David said immediately.
They thought that the Serpentine Gang was trying to trick them, so they were frightened.

A long knife pressed against Elisa’s neck. It was just a few inches away from beheading her entirely. The cold, murderous intent made Elisa freeze on the spot.
A sliver of blood trickled down her fair neck, and the coldness of the knife made her face turn pale. “How… how dare you talk to me like that… She felt doubtful, but she pretended to be strong.
She did not understand why this man, who used to fawn over her, had suddenly changed his attitude toward her.
“Do you really think that your status as the fifth daughter of the Wyatt family is that influential?” Ronald scowled at her.
“Do you think the gangsters respect you because of your charm?
“Elisa Wyatt, don’t flatter yourself. Without that person supporting you, you’re nothing. You would have died a million times by now!”
His words left Elisa stunned on that spot.
She had enjoyed the gangsters fawning over her all these years, but she had never thought about why that had happened.
Every time she offended a powerful man in the underworld, someone would approach the Wyatt family and beg for her forgiveness within a few days. When it had happened repeatedly, Elisa had grown prideful. She thought she was just that amazing.
She had assumed it was because of her status as the fifth daughter of the Wyatt family and her extraordinary charm.
“The person supporting me? Who’s that?” she asked in surprise.
“That person is the most powerful person in the world. He is someone beyond your imagination!” Ronald

She did not understand what he was saying.

She had not done anything.
“I don’t care! You have to listen to me! Catch Dustin now!” she shouted wildly.
She had lost all reason because of those two slaps.
“Throw this crazy woman out!” Ronald said and frowned.
Two leaders of the Serpentine Gang walked over to her. No matter how much Elisa struggled and yelled, it was useless.
She was thrown out of the Langley family like some kind of trash.
Elisa was disheveled, filthy, and felt very embarrassed,
“Are you are you rebelling against me?!” she screamed hysterically.
“Leave now, or you’ll not be able to leave this place at all,” said one of the leaders coldly.
With a swift motion, a lock of her hair was sliced off from the side of her neck.
Elisa’s face turned pale, and she staggered backward.
She was consumed with fury and disbelief.
She could not understand why it had come to this.
Who was the person supporting her from behind the scenes? Why had he suddenly abandoned her?
“What did I do wrong?” she screamed hysterically as she left.
