"Alright, stop it!"
Stella softly refused and gently held onto him.
Noah smiled and kissed her neck deeply, forcefully suppressing the sudden surge of desire.
He knew she was a conservative woman, not used to being intimate outside of the bedroom.
It seemed like he would have to properly teach her in the future...
"Darling, why are you spacing out?" © 2024 Nôv/el/Dram/a.Org.
Noah came back to his senses. He licked his dry lips and smiled at her.
"Are you feeling better now?"
"Yeah!"
"Honey." He whispered, "What do you think about the issue of shares?"
She bit her lip, unsure of how to answer him.
"Those shares are not worth much." He touched her hair. "If you want them, take them. If you don't,
then don't. There's no need to hesitate."
"Not worth much?" Stella suddenly burst into laughter. "You're talking as if you're very rich! You don't
even care about those shares!"
Noah chuckled without saying a word.
Stella leaned against his chest, her voice soft and tender. "Actually, it's not for the shares... I wanted to
use this agreement to test him."
"Test him?"
"Don't you think my father's attitude is strange?" After calling Henry 'father' for over twenty years, she
still couldn't change her habit.
"He clearly knew that I was not his daughter, yet he still wanted to give me the shares. Why?"
"And also, when I carefully recalled these years, even though he never showed me any fatherly love,
he paid for my education, our living expenses, and even took care of Samuel's expenses."
"Darling." She looked up at him. "From a man's perspective, would you treat a child who has no blood
relation to you like this?"
Noah's eyes darkened slightly. After a moment, he answered her in a low voice.
"If I love the child's mother very much, I would."
"Humph." Stella sneered. "Does he really have feelings for my mother? I don't believe it."
If he truly had feelings for her mother, how could he force her?
And how could he be so cruel to her, only giving her money and ignoring everything else?
There must be another reason behind all this.
"Alright, stop thinking about it." Noah gently stroked her back. "Don't ask your mother about this either.
We can't control the grudges of the previous generation. If you're still worried, just be more cautious
towards Henry in the future."
"Okay." Stella smiled lightly.
After talking to him, she felt much more at ease.
She looked at the clock and realized it was almost one in the afternoon. Stella quickly got up and went
to the kitchen to cook.
Noah shifted his gaze to the cabinet in the bedroom.
He quietly walked in and gently opened the cabinet door. He knew that the locked drawer inside
contained their marriage papers.
But he didn't know where Stella had put the key.
He looked around and flipped through the pillows and other drawers, but couldn't find the key. However,
he did find a small mahogany box quietly standing in the corner.
Noah was stunned.
He silently stared at the box and suddenly felt that the patterns on it were very familiar as if he had
seen them somewhere before...
"Darling!" Stella's voice came from outside, "Time to eat!"
Noah quickly closed the cabinet door.
Stella quickly made two dishes and ate while staring at her phone. Then, she smiled.
He was curious. "What's the matter that makes you so happy?"
Stella showed him the bill on her phone.
It turned out that the cafe had made a good profit in the past two months.
"With the previous savings and the investment returns..." Her excitement was evident in her eyes.
"Darling, guess how much money we have!"
Noah smiled lightly and shook his head.
Stella whispered a number and then couldn't stop smiling.
"Darling, I can finally buy you a car!"
"What?" Noah put down his fork and looked at her in surprise.
"A car!" Stella repeated, "Didn't I say earlier that I wanted to buy you a car as a means of
transportation? It's just that we didn't have enough savings back then."
Noah felt warm in his heart.
It seemed that when she was still working at that company, she had been promoted to sales supervisor,
and her salary had doubled as well.
Then she said that in the future, she wanted to buy a big house on a mortgage and buy him a car for
his convenience.
It seemed that she was always generous to him...
Noah gently held her hand and looked at her attentively.
"No need to buy for me. Just keep the money for Mom and Samuel to use."
"I've set aside their living expenses!" Stella smiled. "Although taking care of Mom and Samuel is
important, I can't treat you unfairly! We agreed that I would buy you a car, so I must buy it for you."
"Then... You also mentioned before that you would support me for a lifetime, right?" Noah's voice
sounded a bit hoarse.
Stella nodded earnestly.
A lifetime meant every day, every hour, every minute, and every second, without missing a beat.
"Darling, it's settled then." She served him some food. "Let's go see cars this weekend! Oh, I want to
bring Mia along. She used to work at a car dealership during college and knows a lot about cars!"
Noah couldn't resist her, so he went to the car dealership with her on the weekend.
Unexpectedly, Mia brought Jericho along.
The manager of the car dealership was shocked when he saw Jericho. He had just been acting
superior a moment ago, but now he instantly became subservient, wishing he could have the brightest
smile in the world.
"Mr. Hart! Ha-ha... Mr. Hart, why do you have time to come today? If you had let me know in advance, I
would have rolled out the red carpet for you!"
"So is that the legendary Mr. Hart?" A few salespeople whispered, "He does have the aura of a gang
leader..."
"No wonder the manager is so humble before him."
"But why would Mr. Hart come to our dealership to buy a car? Could it be that he's being targeted by
the police?"
"Shh..."
Jericho helplessly adjusted his cap.
He didn't originally plan to come today. The most expensive car in this store didn't exceed 100
thousand dollars, so buying a car here was really boring...
He looked utterly despondent.
Stella and Mia were excitedly picking out cars, while Jericho approached Noah with a forced smile. "Mr.
Noah Martinez, it's your first time in such a car dealership, right?"
Seeing his mischievous expression, Noah didn't want to pay attention to him.
"Oh, Mr. Martinez." Jericho continued to smile. "The most expensive car here can't compare to one of
your wheels, right?"
"Well... Stella is buying you a car from here, and the budget won't exceed twenty thousand dollars. Will
you be comfortable driving it?"
Noah scoffed lightly and patted his shoulder.
"You don't even have money to buy a pack of cigarettes, yet you're talking to me about buying a car?"
Jericho's expression changed. "You..."
"Speaking of which, I'm really annoyed." Noah put on airs. "My wife always wants to buy things for me
and spend money on me, afraid of treating me unfairly."
"Jericho, what should I do about this? I'm so frustrated!"
Jericho was speechless.
Noah couldn't hold it in any longer and turned to Stella.
"Darling, you came at the right time!" Stella pointed to one of the cars. "Mia and I have done some
research, and this one has the best cost performance and is within our budget!"
"Take a look. Do you like it?"
