Chapter 4456
Soon after, his brothers flooded his post with comments, teasing him and asking if he'd finally won her over.
Evan
"Abby agreed to be my girlfriend."
proudly
replied:
His
brothers
responded:
"...Until you get the marriage certificate, anything can still happen."
Evan muttered to himself that they were just being bitter. Rowan and the others hadn't landed their women yet, so they were jealous and saying negative stuff. He was committed to Abby, and he believed she felt the same. They truly loved each other, so getting married was only a matter of time.
Not only did Evan flaunt his new relationship online, but he also publicly
announced it in Huyoniville.
He made a vow: they would be together for life.
And Evan was a man of his word.
After he made the announcement, everyone in Huyoniville noticed a big change-
Fourth Young Master York was now rolling deep with bodyguards.
These weren't just for show. The men were tall, sharp-eyed, and clearly skilled martial artists.
They weren't just there to protect Evan-they also kept other women from getting close.
It was obvious: Evan wasn't pretending. He was following in his older brother's footsteps, using bodyguards to protect his "purity" and give no woman but Abby a chance.
While Evan and Abby had officially gotten together, Tatum and Elora had already met each other's parents. Their bond only grew stronger.
The only one left was Elian York, the fifth young master. He still hadn't introduced his girlfriend to the family, though he said he was in a relationship. His girlfriend just didn't think the bond was strong enough yet to meet the parents or talk
marriage.
Meanwhile, Serenity was still in her confinement. She passed the time listening to gossip about her brothers-in-law. Zachary took excellent care of both her and their baby. Her sister Liberty even said Serenity looked much better, with a healthier glow, clearly recovering well.
While Serenity was still in confinement, the date for Elisa and Remy's wedding was finalized— it would take place just two weeks after her confinement ended. Serenity also heard a surprising bit of gossip.
Carrie-who had once shown up pretending to be Mrs. Labbe-had vanished from Wiltspoon. She cut all ties with everyone she knew and left behind only a letter for her younger brother, Trenton.
That letter eventually made its way to Camryn. From it, she learned what Carrie had been through over the past two years.
Carrie wrote that she would never consider Camryn her sister, even if they were bloodrelated.
She blamed Camryn and Serenity for everything-being manipulated by Mr. Labbe, the pain she endured, and even the loss of her child.
Carrie also resented her parents and Trenton. She accused her parents of leaving everything to Trenton and criticized her brother for trusting Camryn more than her.
They were full siblings, yet Trenton didn't take her side.
Camryn barely reacted. She had long accepted that there was no reconciliation
possible between them. Carrie hated her, and the feeling was mutual. Aside from Trenton, Camryn had no affection left for anyone in the Newman family.
Soon after, Mr. Labbe secretly returned to Wiltspoon. He thought no one noticed,
but the Bucham family had been watching him closely.
Serenity and the others analyzed what he and Carrie were up to. Once they confirmed Mr.
Labbe's identity, they figured out his target-Titus.
It seemed Sonny was part of their plan, too.
Since Sonny and Titus were close friends, they likely wanted to use Sonny to confirm Titus's identity.
It was also rumored that Carrie had been involved with the two bodyguards who were supposed to be watching her. Because of their negligence, she managed to steal some gold, silver, and jewelry and flee from Wiltspoon.noveldrama
