Chapter 2294 One Ally, Stronger Than an Army!

Emmanuel hurled Aora to the ground, and for the first time in the history of the Divine Mountain, the unprecedented battle came to a brief pause.

Seizing this rare opportunity, Emmanuel panted desperately, sweat pouring from his body like streams of

water.

All eyes in the arena were fixed on him–shocked, incredulous, awestruck by his otherworldly talent that seemed to defy the very limits of humanity.

Of course, there were also the exhilarated cheers and excitement from Beatrix, Nathan, and the others.

Only Mackenzie felt anxious. Her mind raced as she desperately tried to find a way to help her husband break free from the predicament. She knew well that her husband wasn’t in control of the battle–he had simply reached the apex of his momentum. If things continued this way, it would be like a stock market crash or a landslide, potentially ending in total collapse.

“Peace be with you.” Zen Master could no longer hold back. “Yorick, you’re a martial saint, one of only seven who hold that title among countless fighters. Yet the three of you are ganging up on a single young man- doesn’t that damage your reputation?”

Yorick remained unmoved. “I already said that everyone here is trash. Only Emmanuel is worthy of being my opponent. No matter how we fight, I’m only here to battle Emmanuel!”

Well, d*mn!

His statement managed to offend everyone present without breaking a sweat.

“Mr. Verkade, that Shoiyan is getting too cocky. Let’s join forces and take him down before we deal with Lowe!” Miles suggested to Gautier with ground teeth. “We have 300 fighters ready to go. Emmanuel’s already worn out–if he kills Yorick, we can finish him off together with no problem!”

“No.” Gautier coldly responded curtly, his eyes locked on Emmanuel. “If this man were easy to kill, he wouldn’t still be standing. Ignore whatever Yorick says–we’re just using him right now.”

Alas, Miles could only grit his teeth and swallow his frustration.

“Gwain Lannister!”

Finally, Mackenzie could no longer hold back. Her expression was filled with disdain as she called out, “You’re supposed to be my husband’s equal. Now you’re teaming up with two others against him? Even if you manage to scrape out a draw, aren’t you afraid of becoming a laughingstock?”

Gwain’s lips twitched at her words.

Knowing his pride, Mackenzie pressed on. “Why don’t you take on Aora and let my husband fight Yorick one–on–one? Or, if you really want to prove yourself, fight Yorick on behalf of Chanaea. You could still become a hero in the eyes of thousands.”

Gwain hesitated.

First, he and Aora were mortal enemies.

Second, he did want to play the hero and bask in the limelight.

Third, if Emmanuel and Yorick wore each other down, it wouldn’t be a bad idea to swoop in and finish them both. With Emmanuel and Yorick dead, who would dare claim to be stronger than him?

“Gwain, don’t fall for it!” Aora shouted. “Don’t think I don’t know what you’re plotting! First of all, you can’t beat me. Second, no matter how much Emmanuel and Yorick exhaust themselves, you still can’t defeat them. Stop daydreaming!”

“Shut up!” Gwain snapped coldly, his thoughts laid bare for all to see. Need he no pride?

“Then quit the talk and fight already! As long as Emmanuel’s alive, you’ll never surpass him!” Aora taunted, determined to provoke Gwain. After all, his ultimate goal was to kill Emmanuel–nothing else mattered.

“Hmph! To prove I’m stronger than Emmanuel, I’ll rid Zovince of this demon first. Then I’ll deal with you!” Gwain declared righteously, earning only scornful looks from many in the crowd.

The three of them once again formed up, ready to face Emmanuel.

Mackenzie had no more options. She had almost succeeded in turning Gwain against them, but her plan had fallen short at the last moment. Still, she had managed to buy her husband some precious time to catch his breath. Now that the engine had cooled down a bit, those three might have a hard time defeating him anytime soon.

There’s still time. Please, let there be a miracle

“Hahaha!”

Seeing the three of them prepare for battle once more, Emmanuel burst into triumphant laughter. “Dotson, Aora, Lannister–enough with the nonsense! If you’re going to fight, then come at me! I, Emmanuel Lowe, have never feared any of you!”

The blood of the Wolf Warrior surged within him, igniting his fighting spirit. He had never fought so fiercely and freely as he did today.

This moment was the peak of his life!

The once–majestic Chapel of Oros now lay in ruins, shattered by the earth–shaking battle that still raged on.

Just as everyone focused intently, afraid to miss even a second of the spectacle, a clear, hauntingly beautiful voice suddenly echoed through the air.

A continuous melody followed, weaving into the atmosphere like a thread of silver light. Then, a heavenly voice began singing.

“A fleeting bloom, a timely rain, And the purple flower blooms again, Its splendor woven into verse…”

Many were instantly entranced.

“This… This… Is there truly such a heavenly voice in this world?”

“Who’s singing?”

“It’s as if the entire world has shifted with this melody and song!”

People murmured softly, their eyes darting around in search of the source. Whoever could play such soul-

stirring music and sing with such mesmerizing beauty–if not a siren, then surely a celestial being from beyond this world.

Even Yorick, who had been poised to attack Emmanuel, curved his lips into a faint smile and closed his eyes, immersing himself in the music. It had been so long. The melody seemed to transport him back in time, to memories of youth and fleeting joys.

Emmanuel also lifted his gaze, looking toward the source of the sound.

“Hahaha! Yorick, aren’t you ashamed? Teaming up with others to bully my disciple? How disgraceful!”

A familiar voice rang out, catching the attention of many.

“Look! Someone’s flying over!”

“What’s happening?”

“Is that a bird? A plane? Wait… it looks like an old beggar!”

Heads tilted back, eyes wide with disbelief and anticipation. Yet, as the figure came into view, many were disappointed. It really was a hunched old man, hands clasped behind his back as he balanced atop a silver spear, descending toward Yorick.

“Santiago!”

Beatrix was the first to clap her hands and jump up excitedly. “Mackenzie, it’s Santiago! Our help is finally here!”

Mackenzie let out a quiet sigh of relief.

“Peace be with you.” Zen Master smiled in understanding. With victory were as good as having an army of thousands.

Many had braced themselves, expecting the silver spear’s landing to cause a massive shockwave. Yet, to their surprise, Santiago flipped off the spear mid–air, landing lightly on the ground as the spear smoothly retracted into its sheath. Without missing a beat, he plopped down cross–legged and tilted his hip flask, gulping down a swig of wine.

Hic!

Only when Santiago let out a hiccup did the crowd seem to snap out of their daze.

For many, that day had been an eye–opening experience. Even fighters like Chester, who had dedicated their lives to martial arts, now realized just how vast the world truly was–filled with masters of unimaginable skill. Compared to these people, their lifelong efforts seemed utterly insignificant. It was a blow straight to the heart.

“You finally showed up.” Yorick’s smile faded, replaced by a stern, icy gaze. “I’ve been waiting for you. Today, we settle the score that’s been twenty years in the making, Santiago!”

“Took the words right out of my mouth,” Santiago chuckled as he staggered to his feet, took another swig of wine, and wiped his mouth with the back of his hand. “I’ve got plenty of questions for you too, Yorick!”

“Hehe… Let’s see if you have what it takes to make me answer!” Yorick shot back instantly.

Gwain and Aora exchanged awkward glances. It seemed Yorick was about to exit their little group fight,

Gwain’s heart sank. He knew he could no longer afford to hold back. Yet before he could react, another voice, brimming with utter disdain, cut through the air.

“Gwain Lannister, you worthless fool! The Lannister family’s centuries–old reputation and honor have been utterly ruined by you and Eric Lannister!”

“What?!”

The crowd gasped again.

Was there yet another unexpected figure about to make an entrance?
