Chapter 26 Free of Charge
Chapter 26 Free of Charge
"You must be joking!" Joseph was dumbfounded.
After listening to Tobias' explanation and looking at his sullen face, Shelly and Gavin showed a look of
disbelief.
Evelyn's standoffish face also showed a hint of surprise. Atlas, who looked ordinary, had such a
background.
When Viviana first saw the card in Sealada Hotel, she thought the secretary Anthony Renner's attitude
toward the card was too cautious.
When she saw Tobias' serious face, she finally understood how valuable the Violet Gold Card was.
However, she couldn't figure out how Atlas could make Ronald give him such a precious card.
"I see! No wonder you are so arrogant after coming back from the Kimmerly Family!" Viviana looked at
Atlas and said coldly, thinking that she had seen through him.
"But as I said, other people's powers don't belong to you. Ultimately you can only depend on yourself.
The Kimmerly family can help you for a while, but it can't help you forever! That is why I hope you can
recognize who you are. You can't afford to offend those people you're not supposed to at all!"
Joseph, Gavin, and the others raised their heads high again. Originally, they were shocked by Atlas'
Violet Gold Card, but after hearing Viviana's words, they immediately reacted.
Without the protection of the Kimmerly Family, Atlas was still a loser. Even if he had the card, it could
not change anything, unless Ronald could stand up for him every time.
Ruben really couldn't stand Viviana's behavior. He sneered, "How interesting. You keep helping a
stranger to humiliate your husband! You just want to say that Atlas can't afford to offend Tobias, right?
Just say it directly."
Viviana's face turned sullen, but she ignored Ruben and just glowered at Atlas.
Atlas glanced at her indifferently and did not explain much. "My background is beyond your
imagination."
After that, Atlas ignored her and asked the manager indifferently, "Have you finished checking out?"
"Yes. It's done." The manager hurriedly nodded and bowed to Atlas. His attitude was ten times more
respectful than when he faced Tobias.
"Ah, no, it's not done. Please wait a minute, sir!"
After finishing his words, the manager hurriedly picked up the Violet Gold Card with both hands and ran
it on the computer behind him.
"Sir, you are the most distinguished guest of Mr. Kimmerly. In the future, as long as you take this card,
you can buy anything or enjoy any service free of charge in any shopping mall or hotel of the Ronald
Group!"
"I have returned your money to your card. I hope you can forgive the misunderstanding just now!" The
manager looked at Atlas with a flattery face, full of expectation. He was begging for Atlas' forgiveness.
Atlas ignored him. If this was not Ronald's company or if he had not happened to have the card, he
would've been bullied by them.
Therefore, this manager was not worthy of sympathy at all. Atlas did not blame him, which was his
forgiveness to him.
Atlas took back his card. He did not expect the card to be so useful.
He glanced at Tobias and the others with a half smile. Finally, he looked at Viviana and said
expressionlessly, "Can we go now?"
"Let's go, let's go. What a bummer today!" Shelly complained and pulled Gavin to pay the bill snappily.
They wanted to humiliate Atlas, but in the end, not only did they fail to humiliate him, but they let him
stole the limelight. And there was Ruben to help him.
After paying the bill, Joseph saw that Tobias was unhappy and suddenly showed a smirk.
"By the way, today should be the day when the Emerald Pavilion is open, let's go and have fun?"
"Atlas, since you have money, do you want to come and have fun?" Joseph looked at Atlas and said
with a wicked smile.
Shelly immediately took Viviana's hand and said, "By the way, Viviana, I've long heard of the famous
Emerald Pavilion. I haven't been there. Today, let's go and have a look!"
"Evelyn, go with us. Don't refuse!"
They were setting up another trap for Atlas.
Seeing that Atlas was silent, Joseph smiled contemptuously, "What's wrong? You don't dare to come?"
Ruben suddenly laughed out loud. He walked over and patted Atlas' shoulder, saying, "Let's go. I'll pay
all your expenses today. Don't be afraid!"
The three girls could not help rolling their eyes. For someone who was raised in a notable family, this
guy behaved like a punk!
"Well, we surely can't refuse such an opportunity!" Joseph smiled smugly.
Ruben was a fool and a lousy gambler. Originally, Joseph just wanted to take the opportunity to
humiliate Atlas and make Tobias happy. He hadn't expected that Ruben would interfere.
If he could not only humiliate Atlas, but also earn a big sum from Ruben, it would be fantastic.
Atlas was pulled to the Emerald Pavilion by Ruben.
The Emerald Pavilion, on the surface, was claimed to be a stone gambling market, but there were other
things inside. To put it bluntly, it was a casino.
However, this was a high-end place with a fixed standard. People who were allowed to enter should be
at least millionaires. Content protected by Nôv/el(D)rama.Org.
Therefore, it wasn't like those dirty and messy underground casinos on TV. The people who were
playing inside were all well-dressed rich men.
The Emerald Pavilion was very lively, but it was in order. There were all kinds of things. It was said that
they were built according to the scale of Las Vegas casinos.
Joseph looked at Atlas and asked with a sneer, "Do you want to play?"
Atlas didn't say anything. Ruben shouted, "Come on, who doesn't dare to play is a loser."
It was the first time for the three girls to come here, and they were full of curiosity about everything
there.
Joseph and the others went to the service counter to exchange chips.
The waiter in a white shirt said respectfully, "Mr. Lee, you've come!"
It seemed that Joseph was a frequent visitor there. No wonder he was so confident in inviting Atlas to
come.
"Give each of us 100,000 chips!" Joseph pointed at Tobias and Gavin.
"Okay, please wait a minute!"
It was Ruben's turn to exchange chips.
He sat down directly on the stool and said casually, "Give us 500,000 per person and take it on my
account!"
Joseph and the other two were dumbfounded. Ruben might be the first one who came to the gambling
house to play on account.
However, as if already aware of that, the waiter directly separated the one million chips and placed
them in front of Ruben.
"After exchanging these one million chips, there are 28 million in your account, Mr. Kimmerly!"
“……”
Joseph and the other two were speechless.
"Does he regard the casino as a bank?"
Ruben looked indifferent, as if everything was natural. Obviously, he had gotten used to it.
Pushing 500,000 chips in front of Atlas, Ruben took out a cigar and the waiter lit it for him.
Ruben smoked and puffed out a smoke ring. He said boldly, "Atlas, don't worry. If you win, they are all
yours. If you lose, I'll pay for it!"
