MY WIFE
Zachary became terrified when he didn’t see Samarra outside Claudel’s room. He looked around to see where Samarra might have gone.
Couldn’t she have left you, Zachary? In his mind, he was a sarcastic question that made him shake his head.
He ended everything between him and Claudel.
Does Samarra leave him?
He wiped his face and began walking, unsure if he was on the right path.
When he noticed Samarra smiling at the man who had turned his back on him, he frowned. He was immediately jealous. Knowing Samarra makes her too cold and distant from others. So, he was shocked to see her smiling.
He sneezed to get their attention as if they were in their world because they took up the entire corridor length. He sneezed again, louder this time, but still the same. They didn’t seem to notice him.
“Wife?”
When he suddenly squeezed Samarra’s waist, she was astonished. He blinked her eyes open when she noticed that he was appropriate to appeal to her as he kissed her on the lips ignoring the fact that she was talking to someone.
“Zach?!”
The man said in shock when he saw him. If the man was shocked, he was even more amazed.
“Tsk. Stop staring at my wife in that manner. Asshole!”
The man stumbled over his words. His gaze shifted to Samarra, who seemed to wonder if his statement was true. So, his brows met because Samarra seemed to understand what he was saying and nodded in agreement.
Damn! He’s jealous right now. He promised himself that Samarra would be punished when they returned home.
“H-how? When? I mean. Oh my God! Zach, why didn’t you tell us?” As Samarra continued to look around, the man seemed perplexed.
“We’re married, Primo,” Samarra said with a smile to his befuddled friend.
“How about you and Summer?” Primo looked around in disbelief as if he couldn’t believe what he saw.
“Yes! First and foremost, she’s my wife.” He nodded, folded Samarra’s hand, and lifted it to reveal the ring they both wore.
“She’s yours… What?”
He smiled at Primo’s reaction, sure that his other friends would be astounded.
“Tsk, she’s my wife, bro,” he said as he clutched Samarra’s waist, the guy no one could take her from.
“Anyway, congratulations, Zach. I’m sorry, I didn’t realize.”
Even though Primo was still confused, he could still greet and even extended his palm to offer him something, which he gladly accepted.
“Bro, because my wife is pregnant and sensitive, we’ll go first.”
When he noticed Samarra’s apparent appeal to his words, he squeezed her shoulder.
“Summer? You’re expecting a child?”
“Huh?!” Samarra looked puzzled at him, giving him a warning look that conveyed what he was trying to say.
“Yeah, I am.” Samarra nodded as if convincing herself of the lie she intended to tell her friend.
“Oh, we can go first, bro,” he said, nodding and tapping his stunned friend on the shoulder. He escorted Samarra from the hospital. His brow furrowed, even more when men looked at Samarra, even though he was holding her.
He notices Samarra holding back a smile while keeping her gaze on him as they walk.
He’d already confessed to himself that he was envious. But, oh my! He can’t stop himself.
Am I possessive?
When they got out, he leaned angrily against the car. He noticed Samarra’s surprise and turned around, which made him grin even more.
“Love,” he said as he clung to Samarra, who raised both hands on his broad chest, perplexed.
“Wait, Cadden, what are you doing?”
“Oh, now? Cadden is what you called me. Where is that ‘hubby’ you mentioned earlier? “He inquired disgustedly.
It was only a matter of time before Primo addressed the long-lost ‘hubby.’
“Cadde-”
He did not allow Samarra to raise any objections. He kissed her on the lips and bit her lower lip right away. Samarra appeared stunned as he smiled. So when Samarra shoved him, he let her go.
“What am I asking you now? What do you want me to be called? Cadden or husband?”
Samarra scratched her brow and studied him intently.
“You’re jealous, Zach,” Samarra grumbled.
Zachary wanted to laugh when he saw Samarra shyly approaching him, but he had to restrain himself.
“Yes, I am. I’m insanely envious. Why do you have to smile like that when you’re with Primo?” He was able to reprimand Samarra.
“My love, Hubby…”
When Samarra hugged him, he scratched his neck so hard that he looked up at the sky. He couldn’t take it any longer because she used a sweet tone.
He cursed quietly.
“You know how to calm me, Ara,” he admitted as Samarra laughed and hugged him even tighter.
“Please, love, let’s talk at home…”
As the door opened, he sighed and nodded.
While driving, Zachary couldn’t help but sigh because many questions had bothered him. He never imagined his wife and Primo would meet.
“Cadden?” Samarra’s erroneous call swung him around. He knew she’d be sorry, so he went ahead of her.
“I’m still angry.”All rights © NôvelDrama.Org.
“You’re jealous.”
He couldn’t help but notice Samarra’s faint whisper, which made him smile secretly. He caught a glimpse of her as her eyes closed.
He smiled and concentrated on his driving. If they had an accident, he would look at his wife later.
When they arrived home, Samarra was still sleeping, so he decided to lift her without waking her.
He carefully placed Samarra on the bed. He took off her sandals. He went to take a shower in the bathroom. He was exhausted by what had happened today.
When he finished his bath, he went to the walk-in closet and grabbed an oversized t-shirt for his wife to wear, while he only wore boxer shorts. His restraint reaches the heavens as he undresses Samarra because there is no denying that Samarra is lovely. When he is changing her clothes, he feels different. He wasn’t in the mood to sign the cross before sleeping next to Samarra after he finished dressing her. He extended his arm and squeezed her tightly before closing his eyes, as he had done before.
When Zachary heard a faint giggle, he slowly opened his eyes and saw Samarra sitting, smiling, and staring at him.
“There, you’re awake,” she chirped, smiling.
“Don’t give me that look. Perhaps you believe you have been cleared of your previous actions.” Zachary said this as he drew Samarra closer to her waist. He rested his chin on her thigh.
“Hubby? Didn’t I tell you I had an accident? My doctor was Primo’s father, Jay. Primo is familiar because he is always with Doc Jay when I have a therapy session.”
“Is Primo going to Australia?”
He was perplexed because they hadn’t seen him leave in a long time, and he didn’t say anything.
“No.”
Samarra smiled and shook her head as if she remembered.
“How can Primo help you? If he’s not going to Australia?”
“Primo is someone I know from my therapy here in the Philippines. Remember Hacienda Buenavista? I spent a year there. I didn’t expect Doc Jay’s son to be attractive or nice to me-”
Samarra was about to say something else when she noticed him sitting down and folding his arms.
He inquired, “Do you like him?”
“What, Primo?”
When he noticed the strange twinkle in Samarra’s eye, he immediately nodded and raised his eyebrow.
“No, but I like his twins-”
Samarra’s eyes widened as he kissed her lips quickly so she wouldn’t say anything else.
“There’s no one else handsome in your eyes, only me,” he said, parting his lips with Samarra.
“Understand?”
Samarra gave the nod.
He wrapped his arms around Samarra’s waist and hugged her from behind. His chin is resting on her shoulder.
“I am not the father of Margarette’s unborn child.”
Samarra’s gaze was drawn to him right away.
“I assist her first because I am concerned about the baby. I apologize if I yelled at you before. I was just confused and-”
Zachary paused as Samarra placed her index finger on his lips.
“I understand because, if I were in your situation, I would help her first.”
Zachary looked up to stop the tears from falling. He expected Samarra to torture him.
“I’m so grateful to have you, love. Is this something I deserved?” He spoke softly.
“We deserve each other. I love you, my love.”
He was stunned for a moment when Samarra’s lips touched his because it was the first time Samarra had initiated kissing him. He smiled and kissed Samarra more firmly.
