Chapter 3147
When they arrived at the hotel, Caspian stayed inside the car. "Lucas, you go up with Ivy. I'll just drive around."
Lucas recalled that Ivy had brought a large suitcase with her and obediently exited the car.
Before getting out of the car, Ivy thanked Caspian. "Thank you, Caspian. I owe you one."
"Sure. I look forward to being at your wedding with Lucas," Caspian teased.
Ivy got out of the car, blushing, and Lucas took her luggage out of the trunk.
The two entered the hotel Ivy had booked for the following month.
Lucas watched as she checked with the receptionist about the discount and as the receptionist phoned the manager to confirm it before checking Ivy in.
After making the payment, Ivy turned to look at Lucas. "Let's go!"
Lucas dragged the luggage into the elevator with Ivy.
"Mr. Woods, why aren't you saying anything?" Ivy asked as they entered the elevator, looking at Lucas.
Lucas genuinely had no idea what to say. "What exactly am I supposed to say?"
"I brought cakes for you. There are various flavors."
Lucas responded with a simple hum.
"I messaged you a few times, but you never replied. Why didn't you respond to my messages?" Ivy inquired.
"I don't like texting."
"I know what's on your mind," Ivy said.
As the elevator reached the designated floor and stopped, they walked out and headed toward Ivy's room. Upon entering, Ivy took the suitcase from Lucas, opened it, and placed several cakes on the bed for him to choose from.
"Do I have to eat them?" he asked.
"Just try one!" She picked up one of the cakes, tore the packaging open, and handed it to Lucas. "They're not as bad as you think. They're not overly sweet."
Lucas took the cake and took a bite.
Ivy stared at him. "How is it? Is it good?"
"Not bad."
Ivy see? They're not as
sweet as you thought." After that she began unpacking her daily necessities. "My family noticed that I gained weight here in Taronia. en.swhovels.net
"I can't tell," Lucas said.
"I can't tell either, but they noticed."

After hanging her clothes in the closet, Ivy heard Lucas finish his cake and enter the bathroom to wash his hands. He came out and said to Ivy, "I'll be leaving now."
"Didn't Caspian leave already? Hang out with me for a bit! Let's have dinner together tonight!"
"I don't want to have dinner with you."
"Why not?" Ivy asked.

He was growing increasingly troubled by Ivy's resemblance to Irene.
Ivy walked up to Lucas, took a deep breath, and grabbed his hand. Holding it between both of hers, she pressed his hand to her cheek. "Look. Who am I?" Seeing Ivy with half her face covered, Lucas grew still.
Ivy studied the astonishment on his face and released his hand. "Lucas, do you know who I am now?"
Lucas' eyes reddened, and he yanked his hand away.
